Why on earth would you take both articles together? The first article is almost a decade old, being from 2011 and it has resulted in the policies from the second article being pushed. Taking both articles together gives you. An initial push to end women's sentancing. This push then results in an equal policy suggestion that affects both men and women. Where's the problem there?

They're actually looking at ending sentencing for both men and women. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-46847162 Also, looking at the data it appears that women are more likely to be in for non violent crime, the majority of which is theft rather than more serious crime. An example of the differences is that TV licence evasion accounted for 36% of all prosecutions for women, but only 6% for men.

But the point is whether a stable marriage is inherently a good thing. If a husband beats his wife that is still a stable marriage. If the wife pokes holes in the condoms and forces the husband to have a kid that is still a stable marriage. If both parties hate each other that is still a stable marriage. Why is a stable marriage more important than the happiness and health of the individual parties?

More stable yes. Better? That's debatable. It can put women and men into really bad situations where they are essentially unable to divorce even if they're stuck in a marriage they hate. One example is in Islam it is very difficult for women to initiate the divorce. Do you think the west should adopt these laws as well?

I also would be skeptical about any data which is not accounting for religious beliefs as well. It could be fair to say that a large amount people getting married as a virgin are also highly religious. This means that they are less likely to get divorced.

She says nonchalantly to me the day after this night that she had cheated on her ex with him. This is probably the only red flag that I can actually see. They're using it to create a dataset that can be used to identify things that cars see on the road, they then create a machine that can be used to identify hazards and other things in order to use in self driving cars. The human programming everything doesn't actually know how it works
