Network with people who are already professionals in doing what you want to do. They can sometimes give advice on how best to break into the field. If you're having trouble finding them at conferences or whatever you can also literally just call or e-mail politely and say something like, "Hi my name is Andrew and I'm interested in. . . I'm looking for advice in the field and noticed you're really good at it. Could I get lunch with you and ask a couple questions?" Then it's just a numbers game. M…

You're taking it too seriously and overthinking it. Life is like an RPG. You can be whatever you want to be, if you have the ability or if you can acquire the ability. In that way it's just like a fun game to play. Don't take it so seriously. Just have fun building yourself into something as you build your identity. As long as you're not hurting anyone you can do anything.

Nurses can make quite a bit and it would probably only take a little more school. Male nurses are in high demand, and it's a pretty secure job. Then, save and invest properly and you're ahead of almost everyone and got your shit sorted out by early 30s.

You can afford to get a lawyer. There are payment plans, and sell your fucking car if you have to. Public defense sucks dick. It seems they have no evidence on you except for the word of a 7 year old at this point, no forensics and no previous complaints, e-mails, texts or anything hard. It will be difficult for them to establish any case. But get a fucking good lawyer.

He means we pay a lot of taxes to support these women and their children.

For me, it's not that there's a double standard. It's the I have NO standard for guys. I'm not dating them. I'm not trying to get with guys at all. I don't want a long-term relationship with them or them to be the mother of my children. So, I don't give a shit about what they do and have 0 standards or judgments. Go get your dick wet, good on you. I am trying to pick a good woman to be a long-term partner, and sluts make shitty fucked in the head partners, for reasons gone over a thousand times …

"Water isn't wet. Wetness is a description of our experience of water; what happens to us when we come into contact with water in such a way that it impinges on our state of being. We, or our possessions, 'get wet'."

Damn, well done on this post. Very detailed. I've been a fan since Josh played at Texas, but who knows what kind of life he brings home and what kind of drug problems he's had that haven't been discovered. If you've got an addictive personality and the money to get what you want, you're usually going to need a whole lot more than Jesus to pull you out of that one.

They started getting female attention at an early age, possibly junior high. Maybe they were in the popular kid's group or maybe something else. Then they developed their idgaf attitudes and increased egos and self-perceived values. Plus they gained a lot of experience before college even started, so they know how to talk to girls and what they respond too.

Having beta bux's kid without the beta bux. This is losing the game about as hard as you can lose it.

Do not ever resist police officers for a second. You risk these power hungry ass holes putting you down like a dog. Better to play a beta here than be dead forever.

I think it's okay. You might be going for the number a little bit fast. Maybe just ask for his name and what he's up to instead of his number at the beginning. Otherwise, not too shabby.

Ever notice that women who can have children aren't generally lining up to adopt and take care of other people's children, but instead bear their own. But then as soon as you find out you're not the father they say, "that's not what makes you the dad." Well if genes have so little to do with being a parent why don't they just adopt and take care of other people's kids more, save them the labor pains. Maybe because deep down they know it's bullshit, but they still need a provider.

Dump her. If you want to continue fucking her that's fine, but this woman will have a tough time bonding with you long term.

Personally, I would never risk it. There are tons of women out there without boyfriends, and if there comes a night when she and the beta get into a fight your name might come up. Naturally, he might come break your shit or shoot you in the face. It happens all the time, but I'm a bit paranoid too...

Also, the suggestion is being thrown around to completely keep it from the father and go through with adoption. Fuck everything about this. I don't want my kid raised by strangers on her whim.

"Ask me nicely." It's a stupid power struggle with nothing to be gained. You have a much better chance of changing behavior with a discussion when they're calm than when they're raging.

This is why it's better to be single IMO. You don't feel obligated to do anything that makes you miserable.

Understand that for guys looks really don't matter. Tom Leykis has admitted on numerous occasions that he is a 1 or 2 out of 10, but it doesn't affect him. He gets tons of poon because he has high value in other ways. He's intelligent, can hold a conversation and is rich and successful. Just show your positive traits or your potential to have positive traits and it will work wonders for you.

People, not just men, should be taught not to be violent, and people, not just women, should also be taught to avoid violent people and abusive relationships. It's not that complicated.

Even if the patriarchy existed feminists are still generally perfectly fine with it working against men or fine enough to the point that they won't do a thing to fix the injustices. They'll admit that men get an unfair deal in custody hearings, but if you asked them to help us reduce custody of women to give more to men there's no way in hell they're going to go along with that. When there was just one single case of a man being given primary custody in France over an American actress there was …

Also, if you're in a 1 party state have a recorder on you for all conversations with her. 1. Try to get her to admit to the transgressions and that he didn't want it. 2. If she says she's going to call the police again and say you're beating her say, "You'd really lie to the police like that?" Try to get her to admit she's lying on tape without being obvious. This will ensure you cover your ass.

Talking about rape is making fun of victims? Sounds like a bad argument. But as for the numbers, the U.S department of justice reports 1 and 6 is raped. More can be learned from wikipedia's rape statistics page. However, numbers are hard to report on this area. I haven't ever heard 1 in 3 before though, sounds inflated.

My problem with this article, and it may sound nitpicky, is the attribution by the reporter. At times it's good, but at some points he says stuff like "He also humiliated her by..." Instead of "She says he humiliated her." the reporter treats this like it's a fact not just one of her statements. Really poor writing in my opinion.
/r/MensRights07/02/13 03:02 AM

Never mind she was the shitty mother who took her autistic depressed son consistently to a shooting range and left her guns easily accessible to the mentally ill kid whom she had previously acknowledged seemed to be dangerous and scared her. She was a shitty ass parent and this is pretty much all her fault. Call her the victim all you want.

Let's not forget that Nancy Lanza was the one who consistently took this autistic depressed kid to the shooting range and left her guns out for him to get. Let's stop pretending it's men and realize it's actually parenting.

Whatever you do don't tell your friend to crack a bottle of champagne in a jacuzzi to share with his girlfriend to celebrate. That could definitely end in a miscarriage.

Agreed, it was almost definitely made out of emotion.
/r/MensRights02/10/12 08:44 PM

What should I have done?
/r/MensRights02/10/12 08:20 PM

Yes, but what is "right" now? From a utilitarian perspective I'm just going to hurt more people and be hurt in return. If I could have stopped it or could stop future ones I would. But, I feel like I have to salvage something from this.
/r/MensRights02/10/12 07:57 PM

Agreed, but the maiming was done already, and they know I don't approve. Why I have to attend I don't know.

Tell her, "Look, I'm tired of playing games. I like you, but I can't keep being pen pals. That's not what I want."

It's totally justified for you to have an opinion on that as a man, think about it this way: If someone you know gets raped and pregnant then you damn well can and should have an opinion on whether they can have an abortion. I don't want this cunt telling my sister she has to have a rapist's baby. I'm completely allowed to have an opinion on issues that effect my loved ones and other people's loved ones.

Similar rationale: Do you have a penis? If not then you can't have an opinion on pedophile men sodomizing children.

If you'd been dating other girls during those two years you probably could have had this one easily. Social proof is a damn powerful thing.

Is no one going to give actual advice on seduction? I'll do it then. Make yourself look hot, go find the guy you like, (touch your hair and laugh a lot) tell him you think he's cute and you want to get a coffee (or whatever highschoolers get nowadays). Move to the next guy if he says no. If it gets to the date, hug him at the very start (builds comfort), laugh at stuff he says, even if it's not that funny, touch him a lot, (girls can pretty much get away with any touching, and it turns us on) ag…

Rejection only matters if you want it to matter. The world doesn't explode and you don't die because you get rejected. After 5 approaches it's like brushing your teeth.

Yeah, you did the best possible response for that shit test in my opinion. Now, reverse it. Next time you're doing kino in a place you can potentially get laid say, "I can kiss, but we're not having sex." Then continue to kiss and tease until she's begging you for it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
