Thank you for making me see the situation in a more rational manner. A night of sleep helped too. If you've been given information about the accusations by Lyft, then police involvement seems less likely. If Lyft had solid evidence of a crime like assault, they would be sending that directly to the police, and you would be hearing about the actual accusation from law enforcement. I actually looked up that and yeah it depends. The definition I gave is the one from the Department of Justice but definitions and terminology of rape vary by jurisdiction in the United States from wikipedia

Legally it is not a rape it's a seual assault so journalist can't use the word rape without exposing themself to repercussions here This is due to the legal definition of rape : "Penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim." You might take that into account as I guess that in some cases the responsabilities is shared (ie alcoohl consumptions on both accuser and accused). I would advice pretty much the same. That s just an excuse for being openely a dick. You should dismiss every people (men or women) from your life that just justify being a dick and don't care about hurting you. If this happened in a professional environement you can report their actions I guess (omit the part that is due to the periods because that can turn against you for being "sexist" even if she justify her behavior by it)

Actually I m very mixed about this one. We live in a highly competitive society and people can and will f.. you over if you are selflessness. Altrhough selflessness can create you lifetime opportunities and great relationship that will make it up to you in the same way I guess it's like all, we need a mix of the too, be selfish sometimes and be Selflessness some other times. Just adapt to the environnement.
