FYI: In VA, "infected sexual battery" is limited to HIV, syphillis, and hep B. Prior notification (proven, of course) is the only viable option. When I lived there, my house mom said all the pretty Russian girls leave (for modeling contracts, marriage, etc.) as soon as they get the opportunity. I personally prefer handwritten notes. Plus it gets tricky if I save my notes electronically, especially voice recordings, because we can't retrieve them during court proceedings. We have to check our phones and electronic devices at the door with the bailiff. One attorney got caught playing candy crush during a hearing and ruined it for the rest of us.

We do. We have 'firm pens' that have our contact info shamelessly etched into the barrel, but they're pretty much worthless. I used to buy some relatively nice, reliable pens instead of using those. He realized how terrible the company pens are, so he started stealing mine. Now I'm a liberated woman, all thanks to Bic For Her.

I had an advisor explain it to me once, because I raised this same exact question. Apparently, business is a male dominated industry; therefore, women need specialized attention/preparation. They 'deserve' more than a standard business degree, because the standard business degree was born of the male-dominated business patriarchy. This degree will apparently help women understand the womyn-ness, and that somehow makes women better business titans. I don't get it either.

As a woman, I never understood the draw of these degrees. Not that the two I've earned are much better (history & philosophy), but at least they prepared me for the field in which I was interested, career-wise. Furthermore, I at least have a back-up plan.
