He has two kids with his ex-wife. It’s inevitable bud. Living in a blended family is hard. It’s a great way to see if new girl can handle the stress…

Agree, but they also have a way of finding out. So why delay the inevitable?

You should file for full custody too. Yes have them testify. They should have their own lawyer too.

When you see someone you think is attractive. Walk up and tall to them

Divorce in NYS was in Supreme Court. Family court was separate.

We aren’t talking about family court. This is a divorce, family court would be after the divorce.

Remember, court isn’t about what you say. It’s about what you can prove

No. Faithful men become attracted to women that give them something their spouse isn’t.

Make sure you make times for drop off and pick up in your parenting plan. Things to be as clear as possible. Parent A picks-up at 7:00 pm and drops off at 7am, if not, you will be in for a whirlwind of manipulation

One that understands the act of marriage doesn’t mean you change who you are as a person. I understand that when one gets married and has kids, all the activities you did as a single man aren’t something you should that should continue ro happen with the same amount of frequency. Ie. Attending sporting events, drinking at bars with the boys, golf trips, etc. That being said, marriage doesn’t mean you can no longer do those activities.

It’s so hard. The hardest thing for me was when they’re with their mom. I finally got to the point where I realized I can’t control what happens when they’re with her just like she has zero control over the kids when they’re with me. This is also much easier, as long the kids mom is a good mom, this helped me.

Me too. You can’t think like man, you will go crazy. Go to a counselor and get post divorce therapy. It helps!! You are going to be alight and find someone. I was in the same boat as you were and once I forgave myself and openly admitted my faults in my old marriage, I was able to rebuild my life. YOU GOT THIS!!

Why would you want to win her back? You are scared to leave but don’t. It’s the fear of being alone. Being alone is better than self sacrificing yourself and labeling “it “love”

If you trying to date. End it. You gonna go date for time you’re separated, and then just come back to wife like hey 👋??

All good! I remember when I divorced almost a decade ago. My kids were much younger, and a lot of my time went to them. However, when they were with their mom I was in your boat. I ended up spending a lot of my time at the gym. Good luck!

It sounds like you don’t have kids. Good question, though!!

The expectation that I needed to change as a person after being married combined with filling voids thinking it would make it better, and infidelity. It is definitely preventable, but I don’t believe so in my situation.

It’s mind blowing. I’m even a Veteran, she was allowed to assume the mortgage of the home we had built. I then couldn’t use the VA home loan again.

Yeah man. I went to the bank and took out CS in $20 and laid them on counter to give a visual representation to my boys of what’s going to their momz every month.

Does any of this impact this situation; Her selling our old house and pocketing over $200k, me being married and now her sons have a sister, or what about my medical insurance premiums going 8%, and we have verbally agreed to 50/50 in summers…

Appreciate you dawg!! It will for sure.

It’s terrible man. Courts are a joke. I don’t even know what to say to our boys anymore. I always just reinforce to them that can never lose sight of the experiences with me and our family are not what your mom tells them they are.

Nope. Never agreed. It’s the same old cycle. I tried to take our son on his actual bday to get DL. Nope, he’s not ready, two weeks later he text me that his appointment the next day.

I understand exactly what you are saying. I have that battle internally. Like I said, I am my wits end. I have been doing this crap for a decade and I am drained. I cannot keep up with her financial demands. Her mentality is I should have my family that I have rebuilt my life with go without while the other two live some keeping up with joneses lifestyle. It’s bullshit, even more bullshit when there is a 20k discrepancy in her salary compared to mine.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
