Another reason I've heard is to push down on the trunk to make sure it's closed to prevent an ambush. It's a waste of time either way.

They are saying two separate things: That there were 6 female officers hired who did not meet the minimum standards. That 200 male applicants were not offered positions despite being more suitable/having more merit. It doesn't mean that the 200 females who got those spots didn't meet the minimum, just that they weren't as competitive as the males but were hired anyway.

I hate the term, it implies that when someone uses the word sexism then you should immediately assume they are talking about women being the victims

Or legitimate victims from coming forward for fear that they won't be believed and prosecuted instead. I'm all for jail time for false allegation makers as long as it can be proved beyond a reasonable doubt that they lied with intent to detriment someone else.

Oh yeah I got my shit deleted over there for calling the woman in the story a cunt. She was being one. Not the poster or any Reddit user, but the woman in the story that everyone else was literally calling an asshole.

You're stating that the majority of custody battles end in the child being murdered by the mother. I don't even need to look the stats up to know that's not true because there must be millions of custody cases worldwide a year but there definitely isn't millions of infanticides. I realise that what you mean is that when a child is murdered after a custody battle then it's usually the mother but what you actually said is that most custody battles end in the death of the child.

I think you missed my point entirely

I would imagine this is a more personal thing than just simply "She's a woman now, call her mom" What if she still wants to be called dad, or simply doesn't want to be called mom?

Yeah pretty bad fakes. The big giveaway, other than the fact that the conversation is not at all believable, is the time difference between him asking her and her asking him. Doesn't make any sense.

Yes, I read the urban dictionary comment and understood the term to be, in essence, "a woman who exclusively has sex with black men." Then when old mate said "It's a disparaging term for someone who happens to have a preference for black people" and u/longmicropenis said "No, it's not" I suppose he was protesting the implication that it was a racist term but I must have misunderstood it to be a denial that it meant "a woman who exclusively has sex with black men"

Cop here. It's super common. I see it all the time at domestics, the offender will pick up their small child/baby when we arrive because they know it makes it harder for us to drag them out of the house if necessary.

It's a bit like the term Nazi. It's so overused and diluted on the internet because people are all too happy to just throw the label at someone they disagree with, however they both are still useful terms and can be applied to real people.

So fucking ridiculous. I think the worst one was Aziz Ansari. It sucks because you have genuine rapists like Cosby slinking around like the rock spiders they are and any accusations are going to be a little more harder to sell because some cunt decided they regret a consensual encounter and went public with it.

I frequently read this sub because I often browse by r/all and see posts from here. I disagree with the concept of a 'pussypass' and admit I enjoy stories of it being denied. That said there is a lot of plain old "He man women hating club" that goes on here with no hint of an actual pussypass. I got banned from TwoX for defending women on here. It's ridiculous.

I see bad behaviour from both genders on a day to day basis. While I appreciate the point that is being made, to say that men "stay in line" is just being disingenuous

It’s why guys stay in line. Really dude? Like I understand the sub I'm in at the moment but are you really implying that we don't see males being belligerent arseholes all the time also?

/r/PussyPassDenied02/03/19 09:37 AM

Easily explained by her saying she was preparing to leave an abusive home and that's why he hit her. Not checking the CCTV of the elevator is an issue with the investigation however if there was no allegations that anything occured inside the lift then that may be why it wasn't checked. Definitely should have been though.

This is just /r/JusticeServed but the person being the nuisance happens to be a woman. No indication that a "Pussy Pass" was at play here.

Does North Carolina really have a different offence for assaulting a female? Did the guy actually get charged with "Assault of a female" instead of just "Assault"?

If he just... I liked her. ... interesting
/r/PussyPassDenied06/01/19 04:31 PM

What's your point? She's still remanded in custody.
/r/PussyPassDenied05/01/19 01:02 AM

She was already handcuffed, kicking her in the head was completely unnecessary. If anything she needed to be placed in the back of a car or similar.
/r/PussyPassDenied17/12/18 12:22 PM

She should have been charged for the assault, not kicked in the face.

All I'm saying is that traditional gender roles work against men too, like talking about domestic violence and being treated like a joke or the inability to state that they're not feeling well without being mocked. I've used the terms patriarchy and toxic masculinity because the parent comments were using that sort of rhetoric. You raise an interesting point in saying that not all weakness is met with derision. You're right, when it's convenient for everyone that's true. It's inconvenient to dea…

Are you dense? You must need a lesson in reading comprehension, I'm saying women say it as an expression not men, numbnuts. Seriously, all it would take to show whether it's a common expression or if I'm making it up would be to google it before you decide to argue the point.
/r/PussyPassDenied28/10/18 12:28 AM
4

no its not. I've never heard a man say man flu once in my life. but women sure do love to spread that bullshit. Shit, I'm sorry man I didn't realise that whether something was true or not lived and died on whether you, some random idiot from Reddit, had personally heard of it before. Get the fuck out of here.
/r/PussyPassDenied27/10/18 06:04 PM

Exactly. It's the same reason the term "man flu" exists - the idea that men complain more when sick and are less resilient than women when it comes to being ill, despite the fact that statistically women take more sick leave than men. It's because under the "patriarchy" or "toxic masculinity" of our society, men are expected to be stoic and tough, and any sort of indication of weakness is met with derision.

Tip for figuring out which is grammatically correct in situations like these: remove one of the subjects/objects and see if the sentence still makes sense. Jack and I went to the store. -> I went to the store. Me and Jack went to the store. -> Me went to the store. Jury convicts Raquel Garajau for felony murder after she and her boyfriend murdered a man... -> Jury convicts Raquel Garajau for felony murder after she murdered a man... Jury convicts Raquel Garajau for felony murder after her and he…

Because a woman instilled with military values wouldn’t be caught dead trying to smuggle an emotion poodle into a sports venue. There are plenty of people, men and women alike, who have military service and are still stupid arseholes. Surviving the military doesn't automatically make you a good person.

/r/PussyPassDenied09/04/18 11:40 PM

It's still assault it's just justified assault. Police officers are technically assaulting someone when they put their arms behind their backs and cuff them, it's just that it's a lawful assault.
