I was circumcised in infancy and am grateful that my parents had it done. Now if they didn't have me circumcised in infancy, I would definitely want to be circumcised as an adult, but it will be extremely costly (there's actually waiting lines!), not to mention painful and maybe traumatic. This is why its better to circumcise in infancy. I am a Muslim and we are pretty much the only people who practice circumcision universally. But generally, I believe it is a necessary expression of male chivalry to give preferential treatment for ladies. This is not because women are inherently superior to men, but because it is an innate part of human nature to be protective of females.
