Well the problem is I feel depressed in the salon environment and I haven't met a guy yet so in the mean time I have to support myself somehow. That's why I'm looking for something I can do with 1-2 years of schooling. I absolutely for the sake of my mental well being cannot stay in this industry any longer.

I have a handful of nurses in my family and I have so much respect for everything that you guys do. It does take a certain personality to be able to work in the nursing field and I know for a fact I would not be a good match. Also I don't think I want to go back to school for another 4 years. Unfortunately there are an abundance of teachers in my area and too few teaching jobs so I am going to steer clear of that profession.

I've had men pursuing me before, I just never had an interest in dating during my 20s because I was so unhappy with myself and my mental health was in a bad state. Didn't want to drag anyone into my mess. Also I barely leave my house which I'm trying to get into the habit of doing now. Like I said earlier I have friends that are over 200lbs that still date regularly. They might not be considered alpha or top tier men but there are still men out there that are attracted to different body types.

I have obese friends that regularly date and have had boyfriend's. I don't think this question really matters. My biggest problem was my mental health and shyness whereas my friends are more outgoing and open to meeting men.

Working 6 days a week, trying to clean up my diet, taking better care of my skin, learning to dress better, learning how to cook, looking for a new career, and forcing myself to go out once a week. I'm very introverted/a homebody.

I've struggled with anxiety and depression hard the past decade. Never morbidly obese but my weight yo-yos about 20 lbs due to stress eating and anxiety meds. I lift weights regularly and run but I'm still heavier with some muscle. Also very shy, very controlling Asian parents raised in a conservative and Catholic household. Still live at home and am unemployed at the moment but I've been following this sub and slowly making changes. Planning to try and put myself out there this summer.
