Am I(18m) misinterpreting friendship with my coworker(45f)?I posted this story on twitter before. I’ll copy/paste it here. Coming from someone 15 years later who regrets not making a move, go for it. Not saying show up at the door naked…just go hang out with her, feel it out. Make your intentions clear but respectful, be confident and you’ll be fine. My tragic story, lol- Lol, a lot of younger guys are clueless…at least I know I was back then. I was 20, met this insanely gorgeous mid 30’s divorcee at a event. During small talk…she says she wants to see … | /r/seduction | 22/10/22 06:43 AM
As soon as I show interest in someone, it starts it’s too fizzle out. Any pointers?Lol, do you do this for living? You’re incredibly perceptive. I would say my goal is to simply get laid. I think I’ve also been conditioned to think that I need to “offer” a relationship to a woman to get laid. Lastly, i only found about a dozen girls that I was interested in…so I’m probably mentally thinking my options are limited, even though realistically they aren’t. After reading your post again, I have been definitely playing a lot of this wrong. I thought because I was having a modicum of… | /r/seduction | 25/05/22 08:27 PM
As soon as I show interest in someone, it starts it’s too fizzle out. Any pointers?F/U: Did get a text this morning, 4 days later and responded a few hours later, She then did the same. I kept it witty and funny, 7-8 texts back and forth with each other over 15 minutes. Definitely feels a bit off, didn’t really seem like any effort on her part, so I bailed. I said “it was nice to hear from you, but I’m human’ed out for the day. I’ll shoot you a text when I have some free time. Night!”. She knows I’m also in the city for work the next few days, but I never tried to set anything… | /r/seduction | 25/05/22 02:44 AM
As soon as I show interest in someone, it starts it’s too fizzle out. Any pointers?I think competionfair’s comment nailed it. It’s pretty obvious in hindsight what my fault is, and now I’ll just have to correct it and move forward. I do agree with what you’re saying, and it’s definitely true in some cases. It’s kind of annoying to “play games”, but there is no denying that in a lot of cases, it works. I definitely feel your pain though, lol | /r/seduction | 23/05/22 07:11 PM
As soon as I show interest in someone, it starts it’s too fizzle out. Any pointers?Valid point and good observation. I’ve already set a bad precedence, so have nothing to lose at this point. Thanks again for the advice | /r/seduction | 23/05/22 06:54 PM
| – | As soon as I show interest in someone, it starts it’s too fizzle out. Any pointers?Really appreciate your comment and I think you nailed it. Admittedly, even though I generally know how to behave and act, I have made mistakes and made it obvious I would date them. In hindsight, it’s so clear what my fault is. The sad truth is I’m not even looking for a relationship…but out of some weird sense of chivalry or trying to make it seem like im a “good guy”, I have tacitly given my approval of a relationship moving forward. Now that the flaw in my behavior is identified, is there any… | /r/seduction | 23/05/22 06:36 PM |
| – | As soon as I show interest in someone, it starts it’s too fizzle out. Any pointers?I wasn’t finding a ton of what I was looking for locally, and the 2 I’ve had interest in dating have been from 2 hours away. When the girl is local it makes it super easy to move things forward…when they are 2 hours away, it does sort of complicate things a bit. I know how many people say “limit texting”, etc. I feel like my text game is my strongest attribute. I have these girls texting first morning and night, and usually able to develop a pretty decent connection from it. It’s why the dates a… | /r/seduction | 23/05/22 06:37 AM |
| – | As soon as I show interest in someone, it starts it’s too fizzle out. Any pointers?Haha no, I would understand if I was clingy or needy. I’m generally anything but. I’m never the first to text or call and always the first to get off the phone. I do try to set up another date pretty quickly, but I travel a ton so not super easy to line things up. I guess my simplest answer though would be simply mirroring their behavior and words. For example, the most recent girl had said over text “im sure it’s obvious how much I like you” and I responded “really? Couldn’t tell….pfft, of cour… | /r/seduction | 23/05/22 06:28 AM |
As soon as I show interest in someone, it starts it’s too fizzle out. Any pointers?Haha you would think. I guess my problem is keeping things moving forward without coming in too heavy. I feel like I’m mirroring their behavior, but obviously less is gonna be more it seems like | /r/seduction | 23/05/22 06:19 AM
no teasing or push/pullLol, thanks, a little wordy but I’m glad I got the point across. I’m sure there is a lot to be learned from my experience, but I’ve never been able to fully process the what and whys of what happened. I don’t feel like my personality was that drastically different between the two bars. The primary girls in the story were both equally impressive and probably had their pick of guys. The girls at the second bar who showed zero interest in me were normal, slightly above average girls. It also wasn’t… | /r/seduction | 28/04/22 06:35 PM
no teasing or push/pullWhat’s fascinating to me about all this is, what works for one person may have disastrous effects for another. There seems to be a lot of common things that work amongst most people, but there does seem to be a lot of nuance to it. I had a very eye opening experience a long time ago, which proved very helpful to me in the long run. Had a buddy who was like myself, fit, successful, relatively handsome and well put together. He was recently divorced and was full on making up for lost time. When I … | /r/seduction | 28/04/22 08:04 AM
After seemingly successful first date, got ghosted, sent a “no hard feelings, I’m moving on” and got a response. What now?Lol, I appreciate the helpful advice. I’m assuming I just go back to the same successful behavior I had pre-date? I definitely made some rookie mistakes here, clearly was a bit needy after…i also think no contact for a whole week is a bit much, or am I wrong on that? I’m fine with being wrong and readjusting my expectations if that’s sort of the current M.O. these days | /r/seduction | 25/04/22 09:05 PM
After seemingly successful first date, got ghosted, sent a “no hard feelings, I’m moving on” and got a response. What now? Thanks. It’s helpful to be reminded of that and help keep things in perspective. | /r/seduction | 25/04/22 02:55 PM
After seemingly successful first date, got ghosted, sent a “no hard feelings, I’m moving on” and got a response. What now?Definitely agree with you here. I had mediocre success with women before, but a lot of it changed when I found myself comfortable being alone. I’m a moderately successful person, and when I realized I was happy with myself and my life, I carried that attitude into public with me. I assume there is still some small portion of self doubt, and that’s why I struggle when it comes to a certain type of woman, but overall it made a huge difference in my results when my mindset changed. | /r/seduction | 25/04/22 02:48 PM
After seemingly successful first date, got ghosted, sent a “no hard feelings, I’m moving on” and got a response. What now?Haha thanks for the confidence boost. It was pretty obvious she had her issues with my marriage. She said how do I even know your telling the truth and not just stepping out. I said I would’ve just told you nothing and hid it, and look, here’s the email from my attorney. I’m generally not a very clingy person, but a week without contact is a bit odd to me. Even if it’s, I’m just busy, but will respond in a day or two, then I can live with that. It’s been a decade since I was on the market, so I … | /r/seduction | 25/04/22 02:40 PM
After seemingly successful first date, got ghosted, sent a “no hard feelings, I’m moving on” and got a response. What now?I don’t disagree with you, but the problem I have is when it comes to the upper echelon of women. Generally speaking, since I don’t want to be in a LTR right now, I can usually approach women with a liassez-faire attitude and have been successful. It’s hard for me to “play it cool” when it’s someone I have serious interest in, or is that women that is in the top 5-10% of women in the dating pool. I do have a good amount of friends and hobbies, and usually have found luck jumping into those when … | /r/seduction | 25/04/22 02:32 PM
After seemingly successful first date, got ghosted, sent a “no hard feelings, I’m moving on” and got a response. What now?Haha well put and accurate assessment. I am talking to other women so it’s easier to put it in the back of my mind. I’m just going to back off and see how it goes | /r/seduction | 25/04/22 06:52 AM
After seemingly successful first date, got ghosted, sent a “no hard feelings, I’m moving on” and got a response. What now? Thanks for the pointer. Fortunately with me already calling this one in, it makes it a bit easier to not be so invested in it. | /r/seduction | 25/04/22 01:57 AM
After seemingly successful first date, got ghosted, sent a “no hard feelings, I’m moving on” and got a response. What now?Haha, I appreciate the words of encouragement. I was pretty decent when I was younger and figured it was like riding a bike. Lol, more like 50/50. I’ve already wrote this off once, so not as much pressure anymore. I guess my play is to just go with the flow and be a bit more selective about what I say? | /r/seduction | 25/04/22 01:55 AM
Rejection making me suicidal. That sucks man. The only thing I know with absolute certainty is, you will have a tough time finding someone else to make you happy, if you arent first happy with yourself. Kind of cliche, but an accurate statement. I’m the oldest of a few siblings, I never had issues getting women, nor did my younger brother, but my youngest brother did. He would constantly ask “what do I say, what do I do here”…heck, I would even respond for him in texts, he would use them, and even got a few dates, but nothin… | /r/seduction | 08/04/22 05:32 PM
