It is paired with the qualifier "qatan" (if memory serves) which means small or little, so it literally translates to little boys. It is also not threatening to stand away from someone and tell them to go away from you.

But it isn't though. It's presumably pointing out a correlation between feminism and ugliness; not just saying "Haha, she's ugly!".

the missing heritability problem This is because GWAS only finds additive effects, and we are using a limited number of genes. Height also used to have a very low heritability figure using such studies, but everybody knows that it's actually highly heritable. Indeed, heritability, which reveals nothing about genetic influence, is actually a red herring in discussions about nature versus nurture. Nothing you said there demonstrates that... You just say that it's not technically a measure of causa…

Here's some support for your claim: Playful boys were increasingly negatively regarded as rebellious and intrusive and were labeled as the “class clown” by their teachers. These findings were in direct contrast with children's self-perceptions and those of their peers, who initially regarded more playful boys as appealing and engaging playmates. The data further revealed that the playful boys were stigmatized by their teachers, and this was communicated through verbal and non-verbal reprimands, …

Papers are far more likely to get through peer review if the person reviewing agrees with the result. You shouldn't think scientists are even close to immune to this.

Please don't equivocate these. Abortion isn't just about women's bodies, but the baby as well, and you have to think about taxes and who is paying them for both topics.

It's an analysis; not an opinion piece. The fact that nonsense papers have gotten through peer review shows that no, peer review doesn't mean that the methodology is sound or the findings replicable.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/22 12:37 AM

But how much better? The point is that the data speaks for itself, so "it wasn't peer-reviewed" is not a valid response. Also, the "opinion piece" is a collection and analysis of data. It isn't just somebody giving their opinion, as much as you calling it an opinion piece is trying to smear it as.

The good traits of femininity; empathy, patience, sensuality, thoughtfulness Since when were women the philosophical type? Since when were women more patient? Also, "Sensuality - The enjoyment, expression, or pursuit of physical, especially sexual, pleasure". How does this not describe men more? Sensual is just the nicer way of putting it that we apply to women more, because of a bias against male sexuality. Even empathy I'd question. If you want to see what masculinity and femininity are, you o…

Why do people keep saying this? You can't just define feminism as equality when the usage of the word is what it means, and feminists actively oppose equality.

The sex-positive and sex-negative ideas were always lies. It's been slut-positive and slut-negative from the start.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/22 08:15 PM

So what do you suggest about all the people who identify as feminists, but actively advocate against equality, obviously while saying that they are advocating for equality? And all the people who do advocate for equality, but identify as non-feminists or even anti-feminists? Could it be perhaps that the word doesn't actually mean that, but just saying it does is a convenient excuse? A word only means what it is used to mean, after all.

Table 5.5 shows the trade-offs between height and income. A man who is 5 feet 6 inches tall, for example, needs an additional $175,000 to be as desirable as a man who is approximately 6 feet tall (the median height in our sample) and who makes $62,500 per year. From here.

Maybe the most striking numbers are with regard to income-ethnicity trade-offs, as shown in Table 5.6. For equal success with a white woman, an African-American man needs to earn $154,000 more than a white man. Hispanic men need an additional $77,000, and Asian men need an additional $247,000 in annual income. In contrast to men, women mostly cannot compensate for their ethnicity with a higher income. From here. Also this from here.

So now men have to bring to the table a willingness to be good partners beyond just money. Look at the single motherhood rate. You think women are selecting partners based on if they'd make a good parent?

IQ is a valid, powerful predictor and is highly reliable. Frankly, this isn't even debated. Saying women are fundamentally less intelegent due to the fact that they are women is sexist. It is as sexist as it would be racist to say black people are stupid. To be clear, if it is true, you are just calling reality itself sexist and racist. That renders those terms meaningless. I am not interested in writing a text wall about the problems with intelegence testing Good, because you'd probably be wrong.

How? There is literally no reason to believe that. Race is not mentioned once. You're just inferring it from "unsavoury". Why make it a race issue when it's clearly a gender issue?
/r/MensRights27/09/21 07:02 PM
7

Either you are argueing that women are disadvantaged or you are being sexist. Sex differences are sexist? If there are genetic differences, and we point these out, that's sexist, making reality itself sexist? I just want to check your logic here. Most geniouses and inventors also haven't been black Oh, we can discuss this as well... Lasker et al 2019 shows we can already explain 20-25% of that difference with known cognitive-ability-associated genes.

Back in the day white people fed black babies to alligators This is a common myth and there is no evidence it happened. /r/PurplePillDebate27/07/21 04:02 AM

Men were legally allowed to beat and rape their wives. The last state to write domestic violence policies and marital rape policies into law was in the 1990s. Because before that, it was just called violence and rape. Not having specific laws didn't make it legal.

I would also suggest that the black men making it all the way to college are probably less likely to be rapists Less so than the average lack man, but because of the differing standards used for black vs white applicants, there being a greater selection on whites, the difference between college students and the group average will be less for blacks. I want to point out that FBI crime statistics say that blacks commit 28.6% of rape. They're about 13.4% of the US population now, so that's 2.13 times, which is nowhere near the disparity here, but that's for rape instead of "sexual violations", and it's 23.9% of sex offenses in the FBI data, so 1.78 times. Putting aside the obvious that most men just don't think in these terms, maybe you mean how many men feel undesired and used? In that case, quite a few, but how many are actually undesired and used? Isn't the point that huge numbers of people, especially men, are bluepilled and thus ignoring reality? The divorce rate alone being so high (and obviously most divorces being initiated by women) suggests that a lot of men really are undesired.

Except women don't leave male-majority fields. Results reveal different patterns for men and women. Men who enter a female-dominated major are significantly more likely to switch majors than their male peers in other majors. By contrast, women in male-dominated fields are not more likely to switch fields compared to their female peers in other fields. suggesting that the "it's hostile" idea is nonsense and if anything, it's the reverse.

Choice feminism is disliked by actual feminist activists, and these women's choices are then used to fuel feminist advocacy because the numbers aren't equal. They don't want women to have equal rights. They want to force companies to hire women and stuff like that.

If we're using IQ as a metric for dysgenesis, it's quite clear that the average intelligence has been going up over the past hundred years. IQ is 80% heritable in adults in the US. That means that 80% of the variance in IQ scores can be explained by genetic differences. If you're talking about racial differences, then while that 80% doesn't necessarily transfer across, it makes sense to be the default starting position. That or 50% to minimize the possible error. That said, there is good reason to think that racial gaps in intelligence are also highly heritable.

I wonder if this has anything to do with people constantly telling them their rights are in danger and under attack, vs the shutting down of any conversation about men's rights? it made me realise that I, as a woman, have grown up to know that my rights aren’t given HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Then there's just the typical ignoring of men's responsibilities and women's agency. Typical stuff.

That is a good point, but one of the complaints is that it's a huge number of women with really high standards (80/20 rule), and that's a problem.

Of course, but not how someone else's standards are restricting your dating pool. That's ridiculous. Of course they are though. It's ridiculous to think otherwise. It takes her off the market so that's one less person you could date, and/or it prevents other guys from dating her and they will then go on to date other women who were potentially girls you could date. The only question is if people having ridiculously high standards is a widespread issue or just an exception.

I was, like you are now, ecstatic because I valued a woman that a bunch of guys hadn't tarnished It's about the fact that she isn't choosing to sleep around more than the actual sex with a bunch of guys. You're already missing the point. Guys that want a virgin have never been with a virgin Except all the ones who are happily married to their previously virginal wives, who are happier than everyone else. Funnily enough, given how feminists say they want to be rid of gender roles, the answer is gender roles. Interestingly, although the annual incidence of rape for women and being forced to penetrate for men are similar, a much smaller percent of men than women reported either type of victimization over a lifespan. You could just use birth control, use a condom, and get an abortion if both of those fail. I think the bit i have trouble with is that you're calling this evidence where all I see is correlation You have to use some sense here. Correlation with something that could very obviously explain the correlation is different from a correlation with something that obviously can't. If there's a correlation between blacks and crime, I want to know why. Is it genetic? Is it cultural? Is it a wonderful trifecta of race, culture and genetics? Essentially everything is, yes, although race as separate…

A lot of people think it requires behavior that can quickly veer into misogyny and things I consider indecent Literally only feminists think that, but why does it seem like he's aiming that specifically at those in TRP and the like?

It's hard to take it as a source because it's got a clear agenda. All of the sources point out correlation with no context or explanation Except there is an explanation, and what context do you need? The evidence is there to read, and yes, the agenda is to convince you and to stop you dismissing genetics out of hand like almost everyone does, but that's because they are convinced. Ultimately - it doesn't account for the environment. A white person in America and a Black or Hispanic person don't …

It's also very hard to take that as a legitimate source Should I have just linked to each link it links to and copied the explanation here? I think there is a genetic factor in crime but not a racial one Race is genetic, but I assume you mean that individual differences can be explained in part by genetics, but across races, somehow there are no relevant genetic differences? There are genes that can result in increased violence and risk taking but I believe the only time that has been used in co…

There is massive blame. People are constantly shitting on "deadbeat dads" ignoring that they are only dads because the women they had a baby with decided to have a baby with a guy who didn't want a kid. With birth control and abortions available, it becomes a choice and the single mothers make it.

Kinda punctures your argument, eh? No, because it means you practically deny all social science. All you basically said was "I have a high standard of proof", which is funny given your extreme starting position. But let's dispense with this. You made the claim. Pony up the research and stop pretending you know what it is or what it says. Given what you've said so far, is there any point? If I present research showing that all the main culprits actually have little to no effect, as I said before,…

Difficult doesn't mean impossible, but it does mean difficult. Pretending otherwise is being dishonest. Calling it so incredibly complex and extremely difficult is just code for you won't believe it. Would you really say the same about any social science? And if you would, then why bother saying it at all? Why are extremists always so dishonest? Again, you're the extremist.

Can you point me to a study that manages to totally isolate race against socioeconomic status and environmental factors and shows definitively, the role race plays? Well I made a comment about this about a week ago, just pointing to two articles written about the subject, so I'll just link that. We value male traits more highly We value male traits more highly in men, and given that they are also conducive towards actually working and getting stuff done, we value them in the market too. We see crying in the workplace as weakness, even though it could come from passion. We see emotion as a problem, not a strength By definition, crying is when you are overwhelmed with emotions to the point your body wants to get some of them out. They contain high levels of stress hormones. Getting rid of…

The fact I didn't cite any doesn't mean there isn't any, and they aren't a made up concern, but the need to invent some new possible confounder rather than accept genetics plays some part is the problem.

Almost like I said it was a big claim and not a wrong one... However, I don't automatically assume 100% environmental differences like you do, so I'm actually a moderate by position, rather than an extremist like you. Also, "many confounders" is just so often an appeal to some possible unknown environmental effect. Significant differences remaining after you account for some basics like SES are, in reality, a good enough hint that there's some genetics to it (also, that's ignoring that differenc…

No one is saying that biology is irrelevant Maybe you aren't, but it's extremely common that people believe exactly that, even if they pay lip-service to the idea of biology being an influence. It is unnatural to ride around in cars, use spreadsheets, and all the other technology we use I think this could be equivocating. It doesn't really go against our natures to use technology. If we were to force men to stay at home while women went off to fight wars as an obvious extreme example, that would…

You are simply taking it to the other extreme and assume it's all biological Not all, but you have to remember that your environment is also partly genetic. If you're really smart, you're going to create an environment for yourself that is more intellectual in nature. The same for your interests. The same for everything. and presumably biology is therefore moral Well that's a jump. I'd love if we could actually be properly equal, but that would require us being equal. Funny that you ask why a bunch of times, but then stop as soon as you get to the "we socialise them into it" answer. Why do we give girls barbie dolls and give boys soldiers and trucks? Because they like them, because we evolved differently. It isn't that men can't cry. It's that men generally don't cry due to having less of the hormone that causes crying, having larger tear ducts, etc, and so we expect that. Society just doesn't care when men cry so they aren't encouraged to like women are. Als…

You kind of have to look at it from the woman's perspective to see why. For women, sex is cheap. It's something that's easily gotten. Eating junk food is cheap and easy. It just isn't good for you. Staying fit and healthy is relatively hard. A woman sleeping around a lot is a sign of low standards and low self-control. Sure, it doesn't necessarily prove that about her, but obviously people work based off what is generally true.

question is why do women keep saying they want a good man? Because it makes sense to want a good man. Why would you not want someone who would only treat you right? They just also have an illogical nature that pulls them towards the bad boys. They want their chad to be a good man, they don’t want an actual good man. Right. Because an actual good man isn't potentially dangerous, and that danger is a useful tool. They want a tamed beast. Even Jordan Peterson has done videos talking about this.

Women have the sexual and social power, and if they can get away with stuffing their faces and not dealing with the consequences, of course they're going to jump at the chance. Men don't have the sexual power, so no chance of still being somewhat successful whilst being fat, so they don't even try.

Feminism also attacks traditional gender roles, but that doesn't mean it isn't the manifestation of the negative feminine. Think of seeing threats everywhere and over-sensitivity, think of all the nagging and complaining, think of the narcissism, think of the entitlement, and the craving for victim-hood to use as a weapon. I do think this might be combined with some lower agreeableness in the more rabid types, but in terms of goals, they aren't that different. Attacking traditional gender roles …

And we already pay these people for their work, so paying you to raise somebody who will work for me is paying twice. Also, how would you measure if they are doing a good job on a per parent basis? You'd have to send someone into each person's home and watch them raise their kids. Also, what values would you reward parents for teaching their kids? This would quickly get political via that problem.

What good or service are you providing to someone by raising your own children or cleaning your own house? You could say that you are providing for your child, in which case you should charge them, but that seems rather ridiculous. If you stay at home and your partner works, then your partner is essentially paying you to stay at home and do the housework and raise the kids, but you don't mean that sort of arrangement I don't think.

So long as all the prior statements are true than the conclusion is true. That would make it valid, but not proof as you claimed. You've got it wrong, and you're still viewing women as just innocent brainwashed victims in this change. This change is explicitly because of women. Women, fundamentally, dislike men, or at least don't care about them, and thus their economic freedom (whether through getting a job or through perceived freedom through welfare) as well as their sexual freedom allows them to distance themselves from men, just using them as disposable utilities.
