I can understand just ignoring someone if its only been a few dates. What I dont like is when someone tries to ghost after a few months or a year. I have no respect for the ones who did that to me.

1 (41m) am the exact same way and I hate it. The ladies I know that there is zero romantic interest I can cackle like a hen with, the ones I do like I forget how to speak around them. I just want to be normal, my life is shit. I take care or my alcoholic father and aging aunt. I have no life, I work a shit job at walmart. No self respecting woman would want any part of this and I dont blame them. Theres a lady at work who I think likes me back and I wish I could go on a date with her, I fear I w…

Oh man have I had ones like that before too. Between them and my dad whose a raging alcoholic, drinks a half gallon of vodka every two days, I too sobered up. Good for you man, youre better off this way.

Realized that I can have standards too. I stopped chasing ones that were obviously not interested or just using me. Started taking better care of myself to include, no self loathing, keeping my hair and beard trimmed and looking good, stopped drinkin, brushing my teeth 3 times a day and eating and dressing better. All these things over time made me feel a lot better about myself and also working in town with a lot of coworkers of both sexes made me see there are a lot of choices out there. More …

I had to learn this lesson the hard way. Its absolutely spot on. Ive learned to smash that pedestal to splinters and take no shit like I used to. Makes me cringe thinkin about the simp I used to be. Aint found the one by any means but gosh dang my interactions with ladies have been far better than before and Im not ugly but I aint Tom Hardy level looks either.

Im in this dilemma at the moment. Theres this lady i work with. Not directly we work in different worlds. Shes a talker but shes wonderful and classy and beautiful and yadda yadda. Shes a little older than I am and damnit she makes me nervous when it comes to growin the stones to ask her out. I just cant get past the thought of why the hell would she go on a date with me. Ugh I feel like a boy in high school around her.

I was frankly shocked when I read that youre 23. You have wisdom beyond your years as this is spot on.

When I was on the swole patrol. It helped my self confidence tremendously however comma I dressed in a way that didnt advertise it. My shape usually came as a welcome surprise to whoever I was dating at the time. Now I am 40, out of shape with man boobs. I never shoulda slacked off from working out after I got out of the service.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
