Although reading is important, this quote by /u/Maleden hits much harder for me.

Nearly 300 comments, damn man you stirred the pot (no pun intended) A lot of people here are exceptions to the rule in regards to reward seeking, so your message might only be relevant to half the people who read it as opposed to the majority of traditional communities. Just to add to the shitstorm going on here - for the past 4 years Ive been taking upwards of 8-10 dabs a day on average. Some days 20, some days 3 or 4. I don't get blazed from thc anymore, I enjoy the act of smoking and the very…

The whole time Im thinking "Just fucking tell them already! Expose their cognitive dissonance right to their faces so they can make a change!" and then I realized it was before you knew how to handle it/how to save them from mediocrity.

This honestly hurt to read. Interesting find tho!

I love this post, I really use "I mean" and "well" too often. If we're going to take this point all the way home, we should (caught myself typing "we might as well"!!!) avoid being wishy-washy in any statements at all. Its either you know or you don't know. Its either you do or you don't. If a half-way context is needed provide it, but don't beat around the bush about it.

His main point is that if you can't control yourself you dont have full control of your life. The way to find out if your habit is controlling you is to stop for a period of time and see how it affects you; that is, to find if you do have deeper rooted issues. This post resonates with me because I have so many vices I use every day, that I use to squeeze a few drips of dopamine out of my overworked, struggling glands. Im still successful in the overall picture but I could be doing so much more w…

You did well, you fucked her and she thought you owed her something after that. You walked away at exactly the right time, she had her chance

You have a good point, I value my time. Not even a word needs to be said, hell she's already thinking it anyways.

She was hoping you would be blinded by all that sexual prowess she imagined herself to have... or at least used to

Sometimes its fun to banter a little. I know its not cold, calculating, or logical, but if Im not at least having fun every second of the way, why am I trying? In his situation I would have thought up something witty and walked away, instead of only walking away

People seem to be responding a lot with claims about "bullshit" etc. This is useful to me, I've got the good looking face, finally got my hair down, and lastly I'm back into lifting although yet to "make it." The part I've been missing since highschool is execution and you've outlined it well without relying on specific circumstances like many other posts tend to. Thank you, seriously. I'm saving this

In the end everything you want... the onus is on you to make it happen. She never viewed you as someone to have sex with to start with, and flipping that image in her mind would have taken more effort than it was worth. After all, you now know she was readily getting D on the side. You would have had to be more attractive than her current prospects while starting way behind the starting-line

It depends on how his friend is holding him back. I know he could work around it by being an even better, more influential version of himself, but does he really want to commit that much time and effort to this person who he describes as uncaring and unmotivated? Ive had friends from childhood who were similar, I tried my best to help them become curious, make them desire to be intellectual, to get fit or even muscular. But 90% of my efforts were being sent into a black hole. I was holding them …

After you've experienced the emotional roller-coaster ride of engaging a woman for an evening much of this seems pretty obvious, but its fantastic to see it broken down and organized this well. Like he said, you can't go into it expecting to remember these, especially not like a checklist. Once you develop the desired mindset it comes naturally.

What a story! Believe it or not I'm going to successfully use this to convey the TRP message to friends of mine on the fence. Thanks for the quality content, I couldn't take my eyes off as soon as I started

I know a lot of people here will say it was over when you caved in, but rather I think it was earlier. This came up in her mind as an issue for a reason, perhaps some light teasing of relenting prior to this point would have prevented this conversation. I do mean teasing though, as its never your goal to fully give in if you're trying to keep her a plate. At this point letting her in on your game and explicitly mentioning how its "what you do to in a defensive way to maintain an image of masculi…

This post is such a great compilation of multiple aspects of TRP that I think it should be sidebarred. I'm saving this post that's for sure It deals with execution of the ideas of TRP as opposed to just theory, which is something many who come here struggle with.

mmm'baby that's some good theory right there. Some of these things like reaction faces and your responses are likely expected from you because you've set a precedent of doing that. Makes it a lot easier to pull off since you know how people are going to react, having seen this from you. That is a major part of the calibration I think you're referring to (knowing accurately how they'll react)

This post really hit home as I come from authoritative/conservative parents. I've only recently realized the sources of all my habits regarding impulsiveness and risk taking stem from my raising. Looking back it sounds like something you would assume intuitively but when its happening to you... well, you can't really see your own eyeball can you?

I'm relatively fresh into college, 2 years, so I'll tell you what I would have told my former self. You're going to meet a lot of people very very fast if you're more than moderately sociable. Depending on the demographics of your chosen uni/college, many of those will be women who are also first years who are looking for the "college experience" in the form of high SMV men (quite a new selection to peruse through when youre at uni) and partying/socializing. What's more, all of your male peers w…

Im great with word choice so its usually about intelligence or something along those lines. Sound good, look good. Less common are "crazy" and "devious", but in a playful way. Here and there something about my chest being large, lifting definitely brings out the compliments.

A word we've all read on here a bit too much lately is 'manipulating'. The guy was talking about sociopathic tendencies that employ the most epitomic examples of maniplulation. What we do here is obviously tactical engagement with women; similar to manipulation, but not so controlling and obssessive. TRP hates obsession over women, so his use of 'manipulating' tactics struck a nerve with more than a few members.

Honestly, people are skeptical. There was a self-declared sociopath who posted yesterday with a long, well-worded post. Top comment? "Hey guy, doesn't something seema bit off here?" A major aspect of what TRP teaches is calling out bullshit. I think we'll make it just fine if it ever does happen.

The comment in reply with 300 more votes: As a woman, I can explain this! When a guy is ridiculously confident, it generally means he expects women of a high caliber. We want to be that woman of a high caliber for you. On the flip side, when there's a shy guy who's always down on himself, thinking he couldn't possibly be worthy of a great woman, why on earth would you want to be that kind of okay woman that he can get? In conclusion, pumping your egos works because it's all about pumping our ego…

People everywhere are devious to some degree, they do what they have to in order to reach their goal. In this case: not seeing the progress they desired, some women took things into their own hands. Perhaps this in their mind this was the only choice available, one oh so reinforced by their "supportive community"
