I really don’t think this is a fight between masculine and feminine. I think this is a fight between the direct and indirect. I can demonstrate this easily… how many people when the hear a compliment they wait for the “but”…. Why??? Because the compliment sandwich, compliment, critique, compliment. That has pavloved us into to not accepting a compliment. Direct has been labeled as aggressive…. Which has robbed people from the ability to clearly state, answer and move. Now we have innuendos, roun…

I don’t buy this. It feels like the “answer” is shoe horned into the a predefined problem.

At a certain point he needs to do better. He’s putting himself in these situations. This wasn’t like it was a couple decades ago. This shit’s Weaponized we as men have to be smarter and better.

This dude would put other guys down in the name of feminism. No tears for him. This is what happens when a toxic tornado means a caustic volcano.

Look calling for peoples jobs for private life activities needs to stop, regardless of topic. We don’t want employees being the private life ethics police. If you want to call for job trace it to performance. Then keep it in that arena and do the work. By all means I am fine with mocking her for such a reductionist and bone headed comment on Facebook. If her comment is all she can contribute to a conversation by all means she is showing her ass to the world.

Your post doesn’t read that you are as far along as you are making out to be. The world strange, it doesn’t mean we should retreat, it means we should learn how to explore it better

Not a damn thing. They are being honest and truthful with what they want. And I thank them for it. I just move on politely. We don’t want people hiding their true colors. We want red flags loud and proud, so we avoid them and not try to grab them like flag football.

Ohhhh you are such an optimist. you think American imperialism and our armed forces won’t go fuck up the rest of the world. Best analogy is the rest of the world is the battered spouse, and America is the other spouse with a split personality, bi-polar, multiple personality and anger issues. Oh and we have all the weapons. Oh did I mention we are stuck in the same room called the world. America needs individual and societal therapy stat!

Forgot to add presumed guilt. My StBX did a great job of making herself a saint and me the bad guy. When I wanted to leave my parents were not supporting it. They kept pressuring me to work it out. When I left and everyone finally saw the truth of her, no shocker it was a slam dunk to support me to leave.

I forgot the comedian the line was something like. What’s the one thing a white male can’t have? I don’t know an opinion.

The complaint lacks understanding of what is happening. Each person was voted for in a category. RG did not take from GG or MR. They are independent and are not comparable. If MR was selected another woman would have lost the nod. Simply by saying MR should be in there we are tearing down someone who did. That is contra to the Barbie movie plot. GG I feel there could be a case for the complaint. Scorsese has had his run. His stuff is all the same in terms of how he directs. I would for one like …

I would not fight the conversation but lean into it. Guys chose more drastic methods. So to compare apples to apples, a guy not picking up a gun is a suck for attempt. I think this conversation could help explore the issue better.

Repeat after me, not my monkey not my circus. That is 10 lbs of crazy in a 5 lb bag. I am not going to concern myself with that subculture. And if Reddit want me to look the other way, then fine. Play the long game let it become toxic and the needle will love the other way. If it doesn’t then who cares. Be the change in the world you want not the reaction to the hate you received.

What do you mean by patriarchy ? And do you think you are continuing the process of patriarchy by falling into old troupes about gender roles. Regretfully I feel patriarchy has become a polarizing and mischaracterization of what it really is abusive/toxic behaviors. We need to focus on the behavior because we can teach how to stop it and how we are complicit in promoting it. The best thing I ever read was from a feminist. She said if we want to end the cycle we must let men have a place to expre…

I can see how you could take it that way. Let me clarify. We were both a party to the conflict. I owned my part and got better, she did not. I am a better dad, leader and happier despite still in a precarious limbo with her for now. I am not letting her negative emotions get in. Learning that resilience is important. Learning my culpability allows me to grow. I also now know a lot of red flags to look forward to. I know myself and accept who I am faults and all. No money was wasted I invested in…

I feel you so much. I am going through something similar. If she has trust issues everything else is noise. I am finding problems are not the problem they are what is noticed there are normally a couple of issues under those issues. Me recognizing the issues is important in how I handle it. My wife will not pick up or doing any house work. She thinks it is beneath her. I do it all, because I believe in having a clean house and makes me feel good. I started to resent her for it. As I worked throu…

Marriage counseling is only a WOMBAT if people are going to fix the other spouse. When you flip the script and work on yourself it becomes amazing. I went to marriage counseling and it was hell with my wife. She would deflect and never take responsibility for any of her actions. I would react that would not help the situation. She fired 3 therapists but I kept on seeing one of the therapists. She was the agreved on most the things. I defined my self as the receiver and was not taking ownership o…

I get that but if she is going no contact him trying to do paperwork can make it harder. Having a 3rd party gets it done. If she makes it hard the lawyer will know what to do. The money paid for a simple divorce is worth not dealing with the headache.

Get a lawyer. If you are going to finish something do it right to make sure it does not come back.

First and foremost I am sorry you are going through this. You are person who deserves to be treated well and loved. What you are going through is not normal or healthy. In fact it is the exact opposite. It does not get better unless your wife looks at her self and decides to get better, which rarely almost boarder line practically never happens. The begging and crying is emotional Manipulation. It is about her emotions and not yours. That is not the right thing. If we hurt others in society we r…
