We’ll just a couple observations…. first, you say you miss privacy after posting your personal life’s details in a public forum. Second, you admittedly ‘complained’ on Reddit but did you do so to her immediately and if so, what was her response? Communication is key to all relationships and what ruined my marriage. I am not supporting her actions but just throwing some outside perspective in the mix. I would have asked her why and peal the onion back, maybe she was in an abusive relationship/mar…

Dude… WTF. Did you forget to share your thinking this thought because you have kids together? If no, step towards the closest wall and smash your forehead on it. Then you will have hopefully passed that awful idea through your cranium.

We feel you.. it is a terrible feeling and a process that can suck the life out of you but you have to stay strong. Always take the high ride and be the strong one that is always there for those kids, they are going to need you. It can be brutal, so buckle up brother and stay busy and focus on the kids, going to their games, play dates, counseling, homework, school parent teacher meetings, etc.. Take them out for diversion outings and always remind them that you will always be there to help them…

It is a non-stop blender for sure.. do you have kids? Either way, you have to flip the mental and emotional switch and say F this, I’m getting through this shit. Went through the same exact process but have two kids and it was during Covid being locked down in Chicago. It was brutal, we couldn’t go to the damn beach or lake or pool in the summertime nor restaurants. Poor kids went through hell but my focus was to get creative for them. Jumped a rental car and road-tripped down south where life w…

You aren’t even divorced yet considering jumping full tilt into a new relationship and taking on her parents? Makes me think of a Wayne’s World saying- “are you mental? “. Seriously, think of what you’re trying to get out of or running from to go jump into a new pool that wouldn’t be yours. To answer your question, yes that is common for her culture. It’s also common for Armenian’s too which I lived through for 12 years. No bull shit, I had my mother in law, her mother and her brother all living…

Were kids involved? I’m a single Mom and Dad now, wouldn’t change a thing in taking care of both of them. Not a peep out of their mum for Easter, Christmas nor their birthdays. She is mentally I’ll and has spiraled out of control. Guessing court ordered psych eval is next. I am done and have moved on from hating and anger stages. Just speak highly of her to them explaining she loves them but she’s nut in there anymore until she gets help. Motherless children is sad but manageable w/ great therap…

Dig deep inside and get ready for the body blows brother. You have to be the strong one for yourself and those beautiful kids. Very “high conflict” Divorce took 3 years and every dollar I’ve ever earned and then some. After 4-1/2 years a judge finally stripped her of parenting time due to endangering our kids. Multiple DCFS investigations of her, 911 & cops, multiple ER suicide visits… I could go on and on. Pray for strength if you have faith.. get active and stay active w/ your mind and body. T…

Sorry just getting to this... it was really really tough. I went through early phases of anger, confusion, hatred and bitterness. However through the love of family, friends, a great therapist and numerous friends that went through hell too I turned the corner. I focused on my 2 kids and being the strong and stable one. I also started taking better care of myself working out and dropped 35 pounds. Dated around to figure out who I really was vs who I had become. Prayed a lot, cooked a ton of new …

I thankfully just got mine finalized after 37 months of hell, so good luck getting done this year. Sunday’s were the worst for me especially when both kids were with their Mom. Now I look forward to having some alone time on Sunday nights. I tried to gather with other single friends for dinners but grew out of needing that. It’s just going to take more time, it will get better. You’ll eventually process everything and find yourself the peace you need and the capacity for being emotionally availa…

Dude- this is golden to me, I really appreciate you sharing this brother. You nailed it w/ extremely high conflict every inch of the way. Pretty sure she is BP a/o narcissistic behavioral disorder. She is so sick that she doesn’t even realize our daughter is done w/ her and my son is next. It’s amazing what a fucked and flawed system we have that allows for women to do whatever terrible things they can imagine with zero consequences. Whereas if I did one of her pig moves with our children I’d be…

Just google searched my way into this chat boys. It’s unfortunately comforting to know that I am not alone having drowned in the darkness and depths of divorce. Doing so much better than 2-1/2 years ago, so hang in there AFS- coming up on 3 years into this complete insanity trying to split w/ ex who has severe behavioral disorders. Cops/FBI/DCFS/Suicide/etc. Along w/ many other issues 1st move she made was dragging kids through the glass since the day we split and I had to move out. I have to te…
