Unfortunately they also promote male disposability, just in a different flavor. A lot of them are just plain old grifters preying on all their male followers. I once made a comment "I am at this weird middle point of history where feminists hate me purely for existing and right-wingers hate me for not being alpha-male-traditional-masculine-robot and for being "too soft"". I find that it describes current reality pretty well in many respects

I am not necessarily disagreeing with you. I am inclined to go along Chris Hedges line of thinking that the rise of right-wing populists is a direct result of the decline of the so-called "liberal class", who, instead of fighting for values which would help the average folk, colluded itself with the big business and various political lobbies.

There is a difference between a politician who yes, profits off politics but at least tries to uphold some values and during their time at the office tries to do anything positive for the community vs one who is totally unhinged and, in the process of amassing his power/wealth/influence, doesn't give a crap if he destroys everything around in the process. I think what OP tried to convey is that Trump is keen on creating the APPEARANCE of protecting other people, as most right -winger grifters are. It's pretty obvious for anyone having half a brain that those people are only focused on their own particular interests.

Using "mankeeping" to describe jealousy/abandonment issues/controlling behaviour to me is not much different from using "mansplaining" to describe obnoxiousness, pushiness, "I am always right" etc. Unnecessary neologism reinforcing gender division over a given phenomenon.

It's just that this phenomenon happens between men and women as romantic partners where both are guilty of it. I have also seen an analogous phenomenon in men with men and women with women friendships and experienced this myself both from men and women, who wanted to control whom I can be friends with and not.

True, this is indeed a form of abuse, but this doesn't have to be gendered - there are also plenty of guys who are so jealous and controlling people that they try to forbid their girlfriends from having guy friends. So are plenty of women doing this to their boyfriends. Overall this culture around "you cannot have opposite gender friends if you are in a relationship" is unhinged and insane.

Tbh it's absurd to think that this guy is actually gonna be an effective combat force if he is taken there against his will. Not denying that Ukraine needs to defend itself from Russian aggression, but this kind of "mobilization" is just pure nonsense. Zelensky had plenty of volunteers at the start and he squandered that opportunity, unfortunately.

The most unfortunate thing, is, that most of the people will actually back the person throwing out the insults if they are popular - seen and experienced it multiple times, both IRL as well as online. Now that's an interesting take. I actually thought that intersectionality theory would be a good thing, because it points out that being privileged in one area could be severely outweighed by disadvantages in other areas. But, as this video points out, it can also be used maliciously to dismiss/invalidate other's suffering. Thanks for sharing.
