I'm using these terms to describe how I saw them before TRP. Obviously I can see through all that bullshit now, and I'm done being mad at myself for these women.

And here's hoping that someone else here won't. I wasn't lucky enough to know someone who had walked that path unsuccessfully, who could tell me what a dumbfuck I was being. I played the fool, lost my money, you don't realize that I don't care about it anymore. Sunk costs. I learned the lesson the expensive way. Be grateful that you didn't. The real fool would do it again, or wouldn't heed the advice if given.

There's a bit by comedian Dylan Moran which goes something like this Men fall head over heels for women. We adore them, obsess over them, and at times we'd give our lives for them. That is the way women feel about shoes.

Yeah, hindsight is 20/20, and I realized this while I was there. Sucks, but it's sunk costs at this point, no way I'm getting that time or money back, and it's best for me to just move on and better myself.

I'm way down the line from these events, it's been over a year and a half. If I had known about TRP at the time, this post wouldn't exist and I wouldn't have gone to therapy. I was only there for maybe 5 or 6 meetings, and then I was out. Found TRP a month later. As painful as TRP has been at times, I think it shapes us, and we're stronger for it.

You hit the nail on the fucking head. Even family was saying "Wow, that's one hell of a booty call." There are a thousand different ways I wish it could've gone, or that I wish she could've told me what was up, but her wishy-washy excuses and ultimately her stepping on me led me here, and I'm thankful for that at least.

I was hesitant to make the trip at all, because in my gut I felt it might have been too long. But she convinced me to book the flight, saying she wanted to see me and spend time with me. I waited a month before booking so she had a chance to change her mind. She didn't. I booked it. Then she managed to change her mind on arrival, after I had already committed. Yes I was mad at myself, and still am to some extent, but bear in mind I was a different person then, and I had to learn this lesson the …

I remember reading about some charity where they were trying to give tampons to African girls because they couldn't go to school because of their period. They wanted to be able to do shit while on their period. And when they got the tampons, they fucking went to school. Western women, who have tampons and Motrin and 100 other ways to help them deal with their period, now want to be paid because "I don't feel well." I mean, what if I called up my boss and said "Hey, can I get some punched-in-the-…

I agree with everything but I want to make a point about Hermione. She wasn't a complete Mary Sue in the books. She had character flaws. While smart and cunning, she struggled to express her emotions throughout the series, she was subject to ridicule from her classmates for being Muggleborn and a know-it-all, she was the ugly duckling and struggled with that internally until at least Goblet. Smart and powerful, but not without her criticisms and flaws. Movie Hermione is a different story. Whethe…

I love my grandparents to death. It's just frustrating to watch them be mistreated.

This exactly. The point I was getting at is that kids are easy mode. If you can't get past kids then you're SOL with women. If you can get past women, then demonstrating that you're good with kids too can only help.

If your interest is Econ but you want more math in it, I would at least consider Actuarial Science. It's kind of like doing an Applied Math degree, where it's "applied" to economics. Stats, game theory, decision making, maximization, all that goes into Actuarial Science.

You definitely shouldn't manhandle children who aren't your relatives or haven't known for a very long time. Doing that at the YMCA or to some stranger's kid is an easy way to get a lawsuit. However, children are easy to pick up and play with. You can pick them up by the torso, under the armpits, or wrap your arm(s) around them. I wouldn't ever throw them, but picking them up, spin them around, flipping them upside-down, kids love that shit.

Basic Question 1: ”Are you a player?” I was about to ask you the same. Question 2: ”Yeah, I bet you say that to all the girls..” Only the ones named (girl's name here. Works best if she has a unique name.) Question 3: ”What’s the matter? You look so sad.” My goldfish died, and on top of that, I don't have your number. Question 4: How many girls have you slept with?” That's not a question you just ask a lady like me. Question 5: ”Are you seeing anyone else?” No. Is your name "Anyone Else"? Interm…

You have a couple options here: you can put up with his shit and fire it back in similar quantities, or you completely block him from your chat. If he's willing to shittest you, do it right back or completely ignore him. But no matter which option you choose, your tone and confidence need to express that you are the better man.

Should clarify that "all the advice I have to give" was literally "You need to talk to her about this, not me." Otherwise, I'm not getting involved.

It works the same way, except with other guys, insults do not equal lost frame. Guys will take that kind of heat and know that other men mean well. Women will take that and hold it against you on the day of your funeral. Approach all shit tests, from men, women, children, or animals alike, with the same tone and confidence. But the content varies. Men talk shit to each other's faces but speak praises behind each other's backs. Women speak praises to each other's faces but talk shit behind their …

I don't see it becoming too much of a problem. Super casual girl, we both know we're nothing serious (and if she went for commitment, I'd know how to put that idea down). Plus, it's a lot more convenient than my other plate across town.

Yo dude, thanks for the gold! And yeah, I wanted to talk a bit about frame but felt it was getting wordy, so I just focused on tone instead. Glad you appreciate the post.

I have no doubt you'll find women who will message you first, and that you'll find women who will be attractive. But I doubt these will be the same women.

As though women don't already control Tinder, now you're going to give them info about my paycheck so they can judge me on that too? And you'll be hard pressed to find an attractive woman willing to initiate a conversation.
