THIS. I can understand his disappointment, not that I care about it. But if he loved her and wanted a family, he'd get the fuck over it.

I can't tell from the original comment if they just hadn't met when she sent the package, or if they still haven't met. I'd be relieved if they've never met, because then he's not actually dating much younger women.

I just saw what I think was an update to this post. She left him!

I've always had a problem with this "no one-night stands" thing from guys like this. They do just want sex, but they want to have ongoing whenever they feel like it casual sex with women they'll never actually take out on a date, and won't lead to anything, and they want to avoid the kind of women who are open to have one-nighters, because they file those women in the "whore" category. I know some women who enjoy casual sex and much prefer hookups because there are boundaries, and it's much easi…

I'm middle aged, so I might have a bit more experience of meeting men in the wild than some younger women, now that OLD is so prevalent. I first figured this out when I was in my late twenties and a man followed me around all night at a salsa club. Danced with me all night, ordered drinks, introduced me to his friends. At the end of the night he said he'd like to take me out some time and asked for my number. We continued chatting, and he asked my age. (He also asked if I lived with my parents a…

A male acquaintance recently sent me not only sexy pictures that other women had sent him, but a VIDEO of a woman giving him head. I said WTF, what are you doing, man? What is wrong with you? "I thought you'd like it". Yeah, no. That is SICK.

And why are all these stoners always so judgey about a woman enjoying a drink?

It's normal in the sense that most men ask to meet right away. But it's up to you whether or not you're comfortable with that. Don't let him push you if you're not ready.

It's not always easy to be single. But almost every woman I know in a long term relationship with a man is miserable, resentful and exhausted. None of the men do even close to half of the housework and child care, and a lot of them don't work out of the home either. Like what exactly is the point then? If a relationship isn't going to add something to my life, forget it. What are women getting out of these relationships? Certainly not a partner. Dick? I can find dick in five minutes, and men try…

I'm only called "difficult" or "intense" by people who are constant disappointments. Plenty of awesome people think I'm easy-going, because when everyone is doing their best, relationships are pretty easy. Imagine that!

So basically what women have been doing for millennia?

OMG. I cannot. On the flip side, there was a post in that sub a few days ago by a new mom who, after like a whole day of labor, basically lost her mind due to pain and stress and asked her husband to leave the room. He came right back in when the baby was born, but now refuses to speak to her, won't go to counselling, won't work things out, and is filing for divorce. Because she "robbed him of his moment" or some such garbage. This poor woman is despondent, and probably can't even focus on her b…

Incel group? Incel means INvoluntary. Ninety nine percent of women could catch a dick in ten minutes if they wanted one badly enough.

I just point out that most women end up alone regardless, even if they were married for decades. Women tend to marry men a bit older than they are, and women generally outlive men. Seems like a dumb reason to marry someone who isn't good enough.

She's trying to recruit you into her "lifestyle" precisely because it sucks, and deep down she knows it sucks. If other women get themselves into the kind of mess she's in, she'll feel like it's not so bad, or like it's at least normal. When other women reject it, it confirms what she already knows: that her life sucks.

I've always been pretty good about writing off LVMs, but my biggest problem was in wasting my time and energy thinking about them or in trying to educate them. Or, I'd stay friends or FWBs with them. Even though I'd lost respect for them and had dismissed them as potential partners, I was still allowing them space in my head and in my life. I was only hurting myself. I think I've done far more damage to myself than any worthless man has ever done. Only pretty recently have I learned to just walk…

This goes for everyone, not just LVMs! I finally started to find good friends in my forties. I realized that none of the friends I'd had when I was younger ever paid me a compliment or thought I was capable of anything. They were constantly negging me, and if I felt insecure about something, they'd always make me feel worse. My current friends actually think highly of me...the way friends should! Obviously I want people to be honest with me about things I could improve, but now my policy is If y…

Sorry, what? I'm not religious but does this dude think God gave him a boner and stuck it in some woman on his behalf?!

I think a potentially HVM will raise himself up on his own. I dated a guy a few years ago who confided in me that he'd had me bookmarked on OLD for a year but waited until he lost weight and got a better job before messaging me. A man who isn't delusional and entitled will work on himself.

Something occurred to me today. There is so much societal pressure for women to marry or couple up, but on top of that I've noticed that a lot of it is not just about marriage but about The Wedding. The way that a lot of women describe their wedding is that they get to be a "princess for a day". I mean, it's not unusual for a woman to be recounting a horribly abusive marriage, but sigh about how she felt like a princess on her wedding day. And then I realized: A queen doesn't need to feel like a…

lol that's Javier Bardem. He's certainly not Paul Newman, but that's a really, really bad photo. He's been around a long time and was a great actor in Spanish language films before breaking into Hollywood. He's what I'd call "sexy ugly". I find him hot because he's extraordinarily talented and charismatic. But he's certainly not handsome or cute. Saorise is beautiful.

I'm vehemently against automatically giving a child his or her father's name. Considering how many children are raised without their fathers in their lives anyway, it makes no sense whatsoever.

Jeez, is he aware that some couples aren't able to have kids? And it's the man's problem as often as it is the woman's. You wouldn't believe how many men expect their partners to go through invasive fertility testing before they're even willing to jerk off into a cup to check their sperm.

My point is that fantastic women routinely settle for men with very little to offer, only because they think that they'll meet the bare minimum of not raping and beating them. Maybe they still don't meet even that. I don't know. I do know that I have several friends who are saddled with chronically unemployed obese boring men and complain about them constantly, but then sigh and say "At least he doesn't beat me and cheat on me". The bar is so low a lot of women feel lucky to have a man with noth…

Not my friends, but sometimes strangers. I was once at a family wedding and the only single person at my table. The man sitting next to me was chatting with me, as one does when you're sitting next to each other at a social event, and his girlfriend or wife or date kept loudly saying "Stop talking to her. Stop. Talking. To. Her." It was extremely awkward. He wasn't being remotely flirtatious or inappropriate. I also do a lot of things by myself, like going out to dinner or to listen to live musi…

This. One of my married friends is excited about her husband. Literally one. The rest all settled down with these flaccid chunky dudes who they're not attracted to and who they don't even seem to like very much. But they're non-violent and probably won't cheat, so that makes them marriage material. (Meanwhile, a woman has to be gorgeous, slim, curvy in the right places, charming, interesting, educated, and so on to even maybe be considered girlfriend material, to a forty year old, who's maybe re…

I'm actually attracted to bald men, but women age SO much better than they do in general. We take far better care of our bodies and our skin, in part because of the brainwashing that we need to look perfect all the time, but also because we just take our lives more seriously. I often wonder if the men who feel this way are just projecting, because I've found that it's usually the worst looking men who harp on women hitting "the wall". The hottest men I've known have been the least problematic ab…

I've been lurking for a few days, but wanted to say hi. I'm really glad that I found this space. I'm in my mid-forties, and have subscribed to the views shared here for about twenty years. I've never married because my Dad set a pretty high bar for what a husband/father should be, and I've never really met anyone who I thought would make a good partner. Though honestly I stopped looking in earnest at around thirty because...well, I just don't have the energy. And good grief are men ever exhausti…

This is SO true. It makes me sad how often I overhear women talking about men, obsessing, ruminating worrying. Men don't think about women at all. Except in terms of how to get us into bed. There've been studies about female characters in film and TV, and how a staggering percentage of their conversations revolve around men. They're not worth the time OR energy.

A hundred bucks says that if a woman showed up for a date dressed like a nun, he'd say she was ugly and boring.
