Wow, she’s a real winner. The hatred of men and open glee in abusing the court system to get that bag for her chosen class of “victims” is grotesque.

Or something horrible like “could you clean up after yourself at least?”. That’s ab*sive!

Like I said, unless you’re cool with the status quo, which means if you’re okay with not having sex then disregard

Separate bedrooms? End it. I was with my wife for 31 years and it never got that bad, she still cheated. Unless you’re cool with the status quo, you can find a better situation, even at your age.

She sounds like she might have ADD and is incapable of doing anything as complex as starting a business. If she can’t maintain a household while not working, she’s definitely not capable of launching a business.

Best of luck to you friend. Once you give up on trying to fix a problem in her mind you are free!

Protect your financial assets. Tbh it sounds like someone who is trying to justify in her own mind why she’s having an affair. Looking for old grievances and disconnecting physically sounds like she’s feeling guilty. The harpy single friends are always a bad influence on marriages.

It sounds very similar to my situation. I urge you to look up borderline personality disorder and educate yourself on what it is and how to deal with it. I would avoid confronting and accusing her of having it, but perhaps she’s aware of her mental health issues and would agree to counseling. Protect yourself and learn not to get sucked into the drama and manipulation techniques. It’s a subconscious thing for them usually and not always intentional.

My worst fear and why I’m choosing not to R. It just doesn’t seem realistic.

This . Just get the legal stuff started. It’s happening so you should direct it. You’re the man. Be the man.

You have to file now! You can always change your mind later, but file NOW!

I thought so too. It took a while but they found a way to secretly reconnect, then I figured it out. They can’t just turn it off, be on guard.

She is still with her affair partner, right? No deal, no reconciliation possible. Maybe you can be okay with a marriage that has the worst baggage possible? You are pure right now. Untainted by all the bullshit she wants to drag you into. Hold your head high and move on. You are a sought after person.

I’m unlikely to marry again. I’m not saying never though. Who knows, maybe someday I will feel like giving half of everything and adding a lifetime allowance for someone who doesn’t love me anymore will be tempting.

We had arguments? 100% my fault apparently. What? You are upset by my actions? That is hurtful to me that you were hurt. It upsets me that you were upset by me! Whatever. That cheat code just doesn’t work with me anymore.

My stbxw is a master at manipulating herself into the victim role. It’s just the worst and I’ve put up with it for 20 years. Her affair has freed me now. Guess who is the bad guy and who is the victim again? Get out my dude, save yourself. All these comments are great, especially the book recommendations. Tomassi opened my eyes, unfortunately I’m in my mid fifties so it’s pretty late for me. Rescue yourself before you waste your priceless life.

She fucked up big time bro. You will find better, but don’t marry it, there’s only downside.

Read Models: Attract Women Through Honesty by Mark Manson. It’s a good no nonsense book about dating.

It’s in woman’s fundamental nature to always be looking to “trade up”. The term is hypergamy and it is something men generally don’t feel the biological need for. It’s a sad reality that many women, once married, will turn their spouse into something they are no longer attracted to and will look for someone else to conquer.

I don’t really see a legal strategy coming out of tracking it unless he’s a potential danger to any children you are negotiating custody for. Don’t waste another dime on therapy, she’s using that to whitewash her actions with “We tried therapy”. Present your evidence and cancel therapy. Poof goes the whitewash.

ALL women have a stable of men they maintain in various states of friend-zoneship. That’s just how they are biologically wired and socially raised. The top prospects get their focus. Single women are fairly open about this but married women don’t ever really drop this behavioral pattern, their husband just has a (hopefully insurmountable) priority due to fatherhood, breadwinner, deep connection, etc. If your wife has put you down to second place then there is something seriously wrong with her, …
