Excellent post! I would postulate that part of admitting you have been wrong for so long means starting the anger phase for most men (me included) and there is a fear of dealing with it. This phase sucks and is tough to get through but once you are on the other side, you can read a post like this and just knowingly nod and smile. :)

Speaking as a father of a 14 year old girl, your daughter will be the only girl you ever love unconditionally. How you treat other women doesn't really come into play.
