I think there's a lot of stupid mistakes with these advices, for example: Be yourself actually means be proud of yourself; be confident. If you can't be proud of yourself in your current position you need to do things in order to reach a level where you can be, thus the "change up a bit". Furthermore, "don't be nice/agreeable" and "don't be mean/insensitive" are both advices that can co-exist in practice. You could call it middle ground, but that's just shitty advice honestly. Yeah, I kinda agree. It works best when you start doing it automatically in your everyday life though. Once you're in a tense situation you'll notice it's not as hard to start breathing the right way again.

Some time ago I read a study where they found out men rated women as more attractive when they were smiling, but suprisingly women rated men as more attractive when they looked slightly irritated (RBF). I think you're good.

I think anxiety is what's causing the stuttering and such. I have it too, and in my experience my body just tenses up involuntarily. It's like a subconscious reaction. I'm gonna give you a tip that's quite unorthodox but it helps me a lot if I do it right. Start taking deep breaths through your belly/diaphragm. Like 6 seconds in, 6 seconds out.
