Cat calling is a sy ptom of a societal problem. Women being judged by looks before merit. And it's frustrating. Is a shop owner following a black teen a big deal? Not really. But it'd a symptom of a far greater problem and it'd enraging to women or black men that deal with those societal problems every day. But you seem quick to just announce as a white male that those problems don't exist having never having to deal with them. Classic.

Did it bother you that james bond was perfect? Iron man? Captain America? Many male action stars are perfect and it bothered no one. But make women perfect and it upsets you. You think its pushing gender concepts. Is it possible that you have issues already with gender and that's why these movies bother you?

This show seems to be aimed at women and dealing with a lot of issues regular women have ti deal with. Like cat calling. Or being taken seriously at work. However this seems to upset a lot of men who think every movie should cater to them. Edit women are still getting cat called in today's day and age because so many men on this thread are defending it.

Luke was a farmer. Ray was a scavenger that had way more skill to start. Plus there were plenty of training scenes. Plus who cares. I want to watch the story. Not her doing push ups so that you're okay with a woman being strong

So you just want female superheroes to never beat up men? That would make the movie better for you? And men were always shown as tougher and more Intelligent. The damsel in distress trope didn't come from women being capable. And they cast a lot of really sexy women. If you don't find them sexy, that's on you.

They could easily have done that, my generation also grew up on films like Alien Grew up on films like that? Can you name 4 other action movies from that Era with female leads? I can think of a thousand with male leads but as someone who grew up on films like that, I bet you can name a lot.

007 is a codename. It's an agent. And whoever plays that agent can be 007 as long as they tell a good story. When someone leaves my work, I don't only look for people the same race and gender to replace them. I look for the best candidate. Mi6 would do the same.

For a long time, every action movie was geared towards men. Now, action movies are split between being geared towards men and women. Men used to have 100 percent of the movies aimed at them and now it's 50. This loss has upset a lot of people because what used to be privilege, is now equality. So people like to talk about how marvel will go out of business because they dared have women leads. Or how star wars is ruined forever. But the reality, is not every action movie needs to be geared at men…
