It's almost like guys who only want pussy are shallow people not worth anyone's time.

Don't ghost people, be a fucking adult about it. Just tell her that you don't think this is going to work out, bc you're looking for someone who takes their plans seriously.

"I can excuse cheating, but I draw the line at not being able to date my friend's SO." Do you hear yourself right now? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. First off, the company you keep is a reflection of who you are. Are you the kind of person who can excuse cheating in your own relationships? If your girl was cheating on you, would you want one of her friends to tell you, or should they prioritize their friendship with your cheating SO? Secondly, she's not your girl. She doesn't owe you anyth…

wtf, don't hit on your friend's girl. That may be the easiest way to lose friends I've ever seen.

What part of that exchange made you think he was trying to be helpful?

For reals though, how exhausting would it be if 1 out of every 100 potential partners approached you? You'd have to be flirting all the time, it would be terrible.

Reasons why someone might not be able to finish are too many to list here. Everyone's different. That said, it's never a bad idea to let your partner know that their finishing is important to you, and that if there are things you can do for them to help make sure that occurs, that you're open to trying some of those things. Be open about what works and doesn't work for you, and be open to feedback that they might have for you.

I mean, if you think that's all the value you bring to the table as an individual, then maybe it's over for you. To flip the question, are the only things that matter to you in a partner their age and waistline?

If it helps, I think I'll continue the poop analogy. Not only does she takes poops, but sometimes, after questionable Chinese leftovers, she has to take one of those dumps that is both solid and liquid at the same time. One of those dumps with intermittent bun flapping farts that reverberates in the toilet bowl. Take her off of the pedestal, and interact with her like you would with one of your friends. Be genuine with your compliments, don't try to be perfect yourself, and try your damnedest to…

I find it effective to turn the tables whenever a bunch of depricating jokes are thrown around. For example, to derail the ever present "who's got the smallest dick" line of jokes: "Well, mine's only 8 inches long, but at least it's thick."

Solid advice, but didn't work for me. I consider myself an amateur chef (insert justified ridicule from real chef here), so I did most of the "driving", and had fun, easy recipes picked out. Was still a success, since she was impressed and got to go home with biscottis, but I can't say that I learned much about her from cooking with her.

Be the best person you can be. Cultivate your interests, get fit, crack jokes. Don't focus on getting a girlfriend, focus on becoming the most attractive version of yourself.

You should be ashamed, but not because of your actions. You should be ashamed of your insecurities.

Yup, you've about solved it. No, the point is to become happy with yourself first. If you don't think you're a valuable person, neither will anyone else.

If you feel weird going to bars solo, go to a place where you don't feel weird going in alone. Strike up a conversation with someone cute, and be yourself. If there's attraction, escalate. If not, continue having a good time. Or, invite a few single friends to come with you to wherever you feel weird coming in alone. Whatever takes the pressure off of you.

If you just got out of a long relationship, don't make your first attempt at dating again a high stakes attempt. Go to some bars/local events/whatever you do, and try to pick up some girls there in a low-stress environment. Either way, you win. You might find an even better girl out in the wild, and if not, you'll build up your confidence to bring your A-game to the girl at work.

Why do you think last night was anything but a success? You made a choice to not escalate, and to enjoy yourself, and you did it! Continue to be comfortable with yourself around girls, and to make your expectations and desires known, and the way will pave itself for you.

You can never be cheesy if you're authentic. Be your normal self, and invite her to do things with you that you enjoy (and you think that she would also enjoy). Worst case scenario, she doesn't like the authentic you, and you part ways. Best case scenario, she likes you for who you are, and you continue having fun dates! If you're really having issues figuring out things to do, I'd suggest you ask her to pick a few fun dates in her town, since she knows the place better than you do.

Not places to go, things to do! Can she go picnic on top of a hill with a beautiful 360 vista in her town? Can she go fishing in a small stream with nothing more than a pole and a six pack, where nobody will come and bother you? There's beauty in a rural place, and I'm willing to bet you could make a lovely afternoon/evening out of that if you thought about "doing things" instead of "going places".

It's the law of averages in action. Assuming you are in contact with a few new people every week and you aren't actively attempting to be repulsive, some of them are bound to have had a crush on you. And why shouldn't they?

I'm sure that I would! But give me one good reason why you shouldn't figure out why you haven't been kissed yet. Really, go ahead. I can't answer that for you. If you're marginally outgoing and in shape, there have been women who have been interested in you. Why were you unable to see those opportunities when they presented themselves?

You're proving my point. You say you want girls, but you're unwilling to admit that they could want you back. Figure out why that is.

Are you? You seem paralyzed when asked to do something out of your limited comfort zone, and nearly all of your replies have been negative. That tells me that you have very little confidence, and that often stems from unhappiness, whether that's warranted or not. But you say you're happy. I'm an internet stranger, who am I to judge? So prove me wrong: What's stopping you from approaching a girl and asking for her number? It's not the girl, certainly, she's the whole point of this exercise. It's …

Look, everyone here is trying to give you the confidence you need to take the first step. I'm going to give you the opposite advice, because you've demonstrated repeatedly that you're just not ready for this. You need to become happy with yourself before you will see any results, and you're just not happy with who you see in the mirror for whatever reason. Look back through your comment history. Every time one of us has given you words of encouragement or suggestions, you've shut us down, saying…

Awesome! Shit man, if you don't believe that what you love doing is awesome, who will? You know why you're awesome, now all you need to do is share your enthusiasm for those things. I'm awesome because I can outcook you, and I'm willing to prove it.

My advice: screw it up a couple times. Ask for their number when YOU feel like it, kiss her in front of a crowd, bring up how seductive she looks in the middle of the conversation. In short, prepare for the worst, but expect the best. Yes, you will make an ass of yourself a few times, but those are the times you get to learn and improve from (review afterwards, when you're no longer emotionally engaged in the situation). Figure out where you went wrong, and you won't make the mistake again.

Take into consideration that most people have had drugs framed in a negative light (and not without good reason). You just need to do a better job of framing it. Use words like 'safety,' 'moderation,' and 'responsible' while you're bringing up the subject. Drugs ARE safe and fun, if you know what you're doing, and you keep to a safe environment. DON'T ask them to see for themselves, not at first anyway. That will undoubtedly scare them away. DO let them know why you choose to use, and tell them …

Any advice for making myself less "scary" without becoming a douche? I'm not exactly friendzoned, but this is definitely hitting close to home with my current lady-interest. We're both interested in each other, but she's very hesitant towards developing the relationship.

This is true nine times out of ten. However, if you do happen to find that tenth one, do a little scoping out of the rarely used ends of the hospital in advance, more than once, to make sure that they STAY rarely used. And keep both of your pagers somewhere accessible; It sucks to be interrupted, but you're still on duty, and that needs to stay your priority. EDIT: As for the lucky lady, that's a little more delicate. I'd recommend taking her somewhere to have a private conversation, asking if sh…
