That's fine too, very feminine and good to express how much you love and adore your man, and we all want to feel safe in our romantic relationships to show how much we care. I know it doesn't feel like that for you though, God this would be such a difficult time for you, in so many ways. If you can, step outside of yourself and look back at the whole situation more observationally, this will give you more perspective. Now, getting to the point, yes absolutely. You have your dignity, but you must…

I know your deflated but let's look on the bright side. You did the right thing ending things then and there. This couldn't have gone any other way and you have your dignity in tact. This is a very important moment. Now wait. He has made an error, but at least he has been honest. You walking away has created the momentum to progress in the direction you want the relationship to go in. Prepare your heart to receive him when he comes back wanting to negotiate. Or not. Up to you. Sending promises o…

As someone who has experienced this firsthand, it's a great line of inquiry. I've dated men with full-on recreational interests who were less than impressed with my bookish, 'living my best' home girl life. Guys who want to take their jet skis out every weekend, and ride their motorbikes to the country to have lunch at their favouritepub, and then get up and play tennis with their brother the next day. It lead me to joining a gym and tennis club. I would love to learn how to ride a motorbike as …

I have ADHD and have zero navigation skills when it comes to relationships. That's why I'm here, like thanks for having me. My strategy is and always has been focusing entirely on my confidence through investing in my own value and then showing up like a thoroughbred. Because I am. I have a career and a good education, and I have a great sense of humour and dont take my too seriously. You know who I think about a lot, Isla Fischer's character in the movie The Wedding Crashers', she says to Vince…

Shut the front door! Omg, stop it! You manipulative little fox, trying to get a relationship with a guy out of your league, ha ... no other woman is out the doing that, shame on you. Seriously though, you seem so massively ashamed, and some kind of cleansing or purification ritual would help. Day spa, beach day, or clean your bedroom. Are you getting a college education? If you want be more, do more. Read english literature, heaps of women blow it with men all the time, always have done. It's th…

Love this line of thought, my sentiments exactly. Take back your power, loosen up and try to see the relationship through the lens of self-discovery. It will work wonders on your intuition.

Here's my opinion, for what it's worth. This is an opportunity for you to develop your confidence. I don't agree that you should share your insecurities with your man, save him from this and instead go on an internal self-discovery journey as it has the potential to reveal all kinds of information. What if I told you that you're beauty exceeds hers? Or what if I said you're RMV is clearly much higher since you've snagged a fiance? Trust me, single mum's are going to have a lot of insecurities sh…

Its not therapy but I would also recommend talking to your pastors wife and/or some female elder you have in your congregation. I attend a Bible study each week with other Christian women and we intimately share what's on our minds. They keep me accountable, keep me wifely, keep me good. We observe our husbands with grace and strive to be kind, loving women. That being said we still occasionally have to acknowledge manipulating tendancies, and behavior that comes from an insecure place in oursel…

Definitely, and just to confirm I didn't give religious advice but more generally speaking, I tried to point out to OP that she should sow her roots deeply if its happiness she seeks. From my experience material and superficial details are lovely but can only play a limited part in our ultimate RPW fulfillment. I've noticed as someone who actively participates in a faith community that its a good environment for RPW. Lot's of traditional, pro family, pro marriage people. Accountability is import…

My sincere apologies, I should expand on the essence of my thoughts a little. I'm offering advice, from a RPW perspective: I am not evangelizing. The post asks for advice for achieving happiness, and I think that in order to achieve happiness one needs to align oneself with an ethical platform, not necessarily one religion or another (concepts of repentance, grace and mercy exist in every faith) and not only do I hope this will lead to happiness, but will also offer protection from some of the m…

Find an age appropriate women's bible study group and meet with them weekly. I'm not meaning to sound dogmatic, but the attributes of good Christian women are very attractive and I mean be discerning, dont hang out with uptight judgemental do-gooders, you want to find a group who really know the Lord. A repentant heart will keep you in grace and mercy, and you will be well placed to identify a good partner.
