At least they say they aren't interested so you don't have to spend any more time with it. Most of the time I get no reply at all.

Any tips you use on actually getting out of bed at that time? I can wake up, no problem, but I never seem to get out of bed so I just go back to sleep.

I'll just add this here. I think it applies to everything in life! Keep it up, bro! You'r'e doing just fine.

I've been curious at all the benefits of learning to dance. Now I need to get off my ass and finally take the lesson I've wanted to take.

I'm near Columbia. As much as I do enjoy going solo, it'd be nice to have some more people to go out with.

Tofu, your posts here are what helped get me started. They told that a guy like me can do this stuff. While I'll miss your stuff on here, I'll definitely be one of the first ones to support you in all of your future endeavors. Following you on Twitter and subscribed to the subreddit. Good luck in everything!

Just wait until you read more and more on it and spend tons of time watching people. Definitely! I'm only about half way into the book OP mentions and I notice a lot more body language than I used to. Whether I interpret the correct meanings, however, is a different matter.

After getting the number, it's usually a good idea to send a "Did you get home safe?" text later that night. To be honest, this is the first I've seen this type of message advocated. Usually I hear/read the opposite as to not seem needy and such. Although, the kind of messages endorsed here seem to be a good style. I've tried the one-liners and such and then, even after having made plans, the attraction is gone and she either cancels or flakes.

People like me would over analyze the shit out of these if trying them ourselves. Then wind up not doing it. ಠ_ಠ

I was going to mention this as well. I actually see this pop up a few times here. Perhaps something worth posting about in itself?

...when you've turned yourself in to a genuine, charming, confident, better person than you used to be This sums it all up for me for why I even visit this subreddit. Thank you, sir, for sharing your experience.

I've (tried) to alternate between hot and then switch to cold to rinse off. I still need to man up and get some consistency, though.

Very interesting write up. I'm sure this is a dilemma for most of us AFCs out there, but I've always found it much more difficult to tell if a waitress or someone serving me is interested or just being nice due to the job. Regardless of that, though, definitely worth a shot.

Nice post here and I believe it to be true, as well. I learned this the hard way.

Well, honestly, it was more him just trying to convey to wear a condom.

Ahhh now this is more like me. My dad gave me the "talk", of course, but nothing really more than that.

Reminds me of the scene in Casino Royale (can't find the clip, but I'll keep looking) where Bond offers the lady a drink at his place, she replies, but he holds eye contact and just smiles.

Wouldn't this just give her validation? Or am I just missing something here?

I think smiling a lot is a good thing. Been trying to do more of it myself. I say keep it up and who cares if others don't like it, that's their problem. Keep on being happy, bro.

Weird thing for me that makes it harder to relate to what the book is trying to convey, is that I have a good relationship with my father even though I fit the other descriptions quite perfectly.

I'll be honest here, guys. I'm scared as shit about getting something. Probably one of the reasons I'm still a virgin, really. I should get tested anyway just for that peace of mind.

My problem with this is, when I have a couple of drinks in me already, I get pretty generous with buying drinks. I should learn to get the water a bit earlier next time.

I like how you just didn't care what they said and did the opening anyway. If nothing else, this FR should show us that. I give you a big pat on the back for this try, sir.

As a fellow virgin (soon to be 28) I wish you luck. I've been lurking in this subreddit for a couple of months now and I can safely say I have improved overall as a person because of it. I, myself, had a successful second date just the other night. Please let us know how it goes if you can.

There are more than 3 billion women on this planet, and more of them want to fuck you than you can deal with in one lifetime. Your job is to go out and find them (Credit: 60 years of challenge). There's another hot redditor girl out there and she probably likes you more This definitely puts things in perspective for any of us. Thanks for this.

I didn't see the story, but it's ok, man. I have a feeling that we are quite a bit alike and the best thing I can tell you is baby steps. Do something small that's more confident or something small that you were just too nervous to do before and all that will build up. Has helped me quite a bit.

You always give good advice in this subreddit. Now I can take that advice on the go!

I came here to say how much OP and I have a similar mindset but instead of saying that, I must say, this post is just too inspiring.

I had a similar experience last week. I was walking with a friend to lunch and passed a place and a woman working there comes out and says how awesome my ninja turtles shirt was. All I said was, "Thanks". ಠ_ಠ

I'm glad this post is here. Recently I've started doing some club dancing. I'm, by far, not the best, but the times I've done it have been the best nights out so far. I'm sure the touching you do while dancing with the girl helps as well.

That's the exact mindset I have. It's all about the baby steps.

Awesome stuff here, bro. I should probably start going to places by myself more (movies, restaurants, then eventually the bar). I don't know why, but I just feel weird going to those places by myself.

Good post. I'll definitely have to remember these points, especially the Assuming It's Not On one. I've done that so many damn times.

It's ok, I'm still new at it, too. Luckily, I have some friends that can help out and they know tons of people I have yet to meet. Hope it goes well for you, bro.

I feel the exact same way as you about the volume of the music. Unfortunately, I don't believe there are any chill bars in my area for me to check out. One thing I've been thinking of, however, is just to have people over to hang at my place. Invite a couple of friends and have them invite their friends. Should be much easier to get into conversation.
/r/seduction24/03/12 11:27 PM

Still, it's an article that makes some people think about their past experiences and go, "Hey, that's me. I should stop that."

I actually have a copy of No More Mr. Nice Guy and I can definitely relate but the reasons I act that way that the author mentions in the book just doesn't seem to relate to me, however. I'll definitely give it another read. Thanks!

This may help me out quite a bit. I like being a gentleman but I can't help but wonder what the line is between a gentleman and just being a needy nice guy.

It's one thing to read these but it's a total other beast to remember about them when out in the field.

Speaking from personal experience here...I think the reason a lot of guys don't use a lot of kino is because they believe that it isn't appropriate or may offend the girl. I know I still got a ways to go before I can get this out of my head.

Looks very slick but not being in one of the top cities of the country, these types of services are just a fantasy. On a side note, Tofutofu FRs are the biggest motivator here.

It's because nice guys don't go for what they want and they're afraid that showing a girl what he does want is going to make her dislike him. You totally got it right, there. I definitely used to think this and still kind of do, but to a less extent.

Funny you mention the exercise, I just went back to the gym earlier today after about a year off. Good call!

You're not being a dick or anything at all, so don't worry about that. To be honest, I didn't really think about it since I read your comment. I think it really comes down to insecurity. When I was in high school, I had a pretty bad issue with acne. It's way better now but I still get some breakouts which may cause me to still think like that. Probably doesn't sound like much or seems like an excuse and that may be true, but I believe this plays a big role. I will end on this note, however...I a…

This is not AFC or being a chump This may be true, but aren't most women put off by this? One girl even told me it was creepy that I was still a virgin at 27.

Went out with some guys Thursday and I chatted up with some girls we had met. May not be a big thing but it was for me. Made me realize that I can do this! The two buddies I went with mentioned later that they were proud of me. Felt really good.

I'm kind of cursed being that I remember names way more than I can recognize faces. People I haven't seen in years will ask if I remember them and I always go, "what's your name?", then I remember.

It's nice to know that you can be social and not like bars/clubs. Then again, it tends to be too loud in those places to actually be social.

Strong oneitis. But props to these people coming out and finally escalating, especially on MTV. EDIT: Damn, I feel bad for the guy in the first vid.

Thanks for clarifying. Makes so much more sense now.

That's basically the definition of "oneitis" and that's the main reason we need to let that go, correct?

Just curious, how did the phone call not work out? Props to actually calling though. Doubt I could do that right now. I'm worse on the phone than in person. I get nervous and have a hard time understanding the other person and even if I do, I have no idea what to say. EDIT: I think you posted this separately, so disregard my question :p

Good advice. I've done it myself where I've mentioned I was a virgin and they get turned off by it :/
