12	Yet another young man kidnapped off the street in Ukraine to be sent to the front They don't get firearms until they are on the front lines according to reports from 2023. Then they are in a trench and basically fill the role of bodies that force Russia to hunt them with drones and FAB bombs (really big glide bombs). The conscripts are put in the worst positions as sacrificial lambs to protect the veteran core of units. It is a common complaint from both sides in this conflict that the veterans do a lot of keeping fresh troops in the trenches with threats of violence.	/r/MensRights	25/04/26 02:31 AM
2	This is what conscription looks like Also Russia does a census every 10 years like the US you numpty. They delayed it 1 year in 2020 due to Covid. They did it in 2021 instead. 6	This is what conscription looks like Ukraine banned men from leaving the country in the opening days of the war. Romania has pulled dozens of bodies out of the Tisza river all of them men. The Tisza river is just 10% of the Ukrainian/Romanian border. Ukraine has never reported or acknowledged any of these deaths. That was Romania that reported them.	/r/MensRights	14/10/24 11:50 AM

Russia does have conscripts yes but it is generally a smaller portion of their military and outside conscripts for posistions like doctors they have almost exclusively been used in de jure Russian territory. The only large scale use of conscripts by Russia after the start of the war was Kursk. 22	This is what conscription looks like During the 23 summer offensive conscripts were part of the attacking troops. They reported not being given guns until they reached their fighting positions the night before assaults. Both sides have also reportedly used "blocking units" which are political die hards willing to kill those that flee posistions. Ukrainian officers have often been convicted of treason for giving up positions if they don't fight hard enough for them. 0	Equality feels like oppression? I don't know if "more" is accurate but they are definitely priveleged in many areas men are not. Like there are certainly areas where women have problems (like 1 in 3 being sexually assaulted at some point in their lives and the fact that they are generally still far underrepresented in political bodies) and we should not make this a pissing contest of who is most oppressed.
