My pleasure! Knowledge is truly the key that unlocks doors. I'd be lying if I didn't admit that someone had to enlighten me at many points past, present, and continue to do so in the future.

Many physicians and nurses incorrectly believe you must rip down the fused foreskin (the foreskin is fused to the glans of the penis like your fingernail to your nailbed until it naturally retracts, which means it becomes able to be pulled down, happening usually around puberty but can retract as early as 2-3. The average age the foreskin begins to retract on its own is 10 years old, but can take up until near 18) every time you change a diaper or bathe him. This misconception actually is one of…

Are you kidding?! Many of the women who get circumcised in regions where it is popular say they like it and it's great and then do it to their daughters! Here and here. "She also challenges some common misconceptions around FGC, like the belief that it is forced on women by men. In fact, elderly women often do the most to perpetuate the custom. I thought African girls were held down and butchered against their will, but some of them voluntarily and joyfully partake in the ritual. I thought commu…

Especially considering that the latest research shows that babies feel pain up to 4 times greater than adults, and often little to NO pain meds are given during infant circumcision, and when they are used they are completely ineffective and provide practically no pain relief.

Don't let baby out of your sight! Tell the hospital you want all testing done in room, and the two tests that need to be done in another room (usually the hearing test and heel prick) you can go with him or your husband can go with. Also make little signs for your 48 hour stay after you give birth that state, "I"m INTACT do NOT retract, only clean what is seen!" Sadly, you cannot trust hospital staff to not forcibly retract your son on examinations. Watch them like a hawk, same for when you take…

Not even close, it's an open wound in a urine and feces filled environment. An intact penis is the easiest genitalia on an infant to keep clean no matter what, you just wipe like a finger and that is it. A vulva requires much more work to clean between the labia and ensure you are not wiping feces near the vagina and a circumcised penis requires much effort to ensure the wound does not become infected, that adhesions do not form, etc.

Look, obviously things are the way they are, and when they build another stadium it will most likely house restroom facilities that are 50/50. It's just always something I thought of about public restrooms, men use the restroom more efficiently and rarely have a 20 minute line to piss. It would just make more sense to have more women's restrooms in facilities that have a fairly equal ratio of men and women. Just like, to me, in OP's workplace, having more men's restrooms just makes more sense. A…

I would have called the cops and filed a report. Fuck this "blood is blood" attitude. I totally agree with you. I have no qualms cutting someone off/burning bridges with family. Being related to me or my boyfriend doesn't entitle you special rules where you fuck us over and I damn well won't be supporting any family member of mine who so casually puts others' lives in jeopardy like you described above. The judge is not the real problem here, with his guilty plea, there is nothing the judge could have done even if that judge loved him some and supported casual sex. What we need to do is to change the law. And we, the people, have the power to do that. It's just that it'll probably require money and time, something people on Reddit either don't have to give or refuse to give making all the outrage here essentially worthless circle jerking. Can we actually use that outrage to do something? I'm as…

What kind of parents raise a daughter who thinks it's okay to lie to men about their age to have sex? It seems to be a mix of ignorance (the girl in this case seems to have had no clue how much trouble her lie could get him in), arrogance, and entitlement. I mean, I really wasn't looking to have sex at all when I was in high school, I had sex for the first time at almost 19, but not once did it ever cross my mind from pre-teen and up to lie to anyone about my age for any reason but especially no…

I was thinking of more of an "in advance" kind of thing, like how I was talking about when constructing a new facility. I didn't mean to imply that a fix right now would be to add another bathroom. Edit: Gosh I guess I'm not allowed to imagine things for the future/how things should be where we make decisions based off of what makes sense rather than arbitrarily trying to make everything 50/50 so as to not hurt any feelings. I guess I should start prefacing everything I say with "in a perfect wo…

I am happy to clarify that sentence as even before I clicked save, I gave it the side-eye because I wasn't sure it expressed what I was thinking like I wanted to. Our society has a large number of human beings, male and female, that believe you cannot rape a man, that if his penis becomes erect that he wants it. There is also a lot of social acceptance and praise for young men/guys to have sex with an older woman to the extent that, as you made a similar comment, they get high fives. If a male t…

Simple fix for me would be, with your ratio of men to women, having 2 bathrooms for men and 1 for women. To add to that, me personally, I wouldn't have an issue sharing a bathroom with men. In all my 30 years experience, the women's bathrooms are infinitely more disgusting than the men's. But it's not that simple, of course! Women simply take longer to piss than men do. Which is why in public settings like ball games, concerts, conferences, etc. the women's bathrooms have lines wrapped around tw…

I have been pulled over one time and one time only. It was a red light ticket and the officer couldn't care less that I was a woman. I got it taken care of in court because it was a really shitty intersection that throws off perception of where the intersection actually is. But that's beside the point. My ex-husband has been pulled over 6 times and never once got a ticket and he was blatantly breaking the law, for example, going 42 in a 25 school zone. Every time he was let off with a warning. "…

Especially these days with the explosion of helicopter parenting. I'm 30, so me at 15 compares to 15 year olds these days being more like 10. 2015 18 year olds act like middle schoolers. I have 2 younger sisters who are 20 (almost 21) and 22. They are the equivalent right now to my 14 year old self. Maybe even worse because my parents crippled them growing up.

I am a woman and while I don't have a rape fantasy, I do enjoy role-play. I like when my boyfriend ties me up, but it's not rape role play. It's more rough and kinky role-play. Cognitive dissonance makes it easy for a person to convince themselves something they went through wasn't traumatic. When a boy is groomed, I can guarantee you he will never see it as trauma without extensive help. It is very, very easy to groom certain types of people. Honestly I think the title should include, "If you wish to be a gentleman read on, if you do not wish to be a gentleman then carry on good sir." I have no desire to be "a lady" so I fart and burp when I need to or sometimes even want to. I'm not going to suffer gastrointestinal distress because someone decided it wasn't decent for people to fart in front of others. I think you took this the wrong way. I assume the author was referring more to women in general as in friends, co-workers, and other social interactions and not so much relationships. I would freaking LOVE to run a brothel. People are going to seek out sex work for so many reasons from simply wanting physical release and that's it, to something more tender and caring. It would absolutely improve things on a work conditions level and on a human sex trafficking level. And if you don't agree with every single thing they say you are against them, persecuting them, "the enemy". It's the same reason why these "feminists" balk at women who like to wear sexy clothing or who don't want careers, because "all women should be one kind of way" to these people. I could, at least, understand if you felt teens having sex with their teachers/adults in general was not a problem. As in, doesn't matter if the teen was male or female you feel as if they are old enough. But to be completely honest, you took the side of the one that makes the least sense "biologically" as you claim somehow male sexuality makes sense for boys to have sex with adults. Which makes no sense. We always want to, as a society, talk about how females mature faster than males do, that f…

Unless I get scaring then it's not the same at all and completely irrelevant. You have scarring from your circumcision!!!! ending up looking like and acting like a cut foreskin. Cut foreskin? You don't have a foreskin. Buddy you really need to go do some research seeing as you have no idea how it works. I wonder what their excuse is for me, a woman who has her foreskin, with only daughters, and dating a circumcised man who is more than enough for me sexually; seeing as I'm passionately and vehemently against RIC and will decry it until my last breath regardless of the social rejection I receive from saying so.

circumcision came back into practice because society wanted to curb male sexuality Only to nitpick on principle, it was masturbation as a whole, not really male sexuality. The anti-masturbation hysteria was at an all time high, man or woman, self-love was a SIN! As evidenced by your oft-forgotten valuable info on carbolic acid and the clitoris. Share with your friend this and this which is a study done on infant pain and an opinion piece connecting how this new information in infant pain relates to infant circumcision. If I had a son, I would 100% rather have my son go through a circumcision as an adult (after exhausting all other non-surgical options and once he decided he was ready to make the decision for one) than as a baby. You should add the phrase, "once it retracts naturally" and that only the person the penis is attached to should be retracting it to your awesome info. Many parents are under the false impression that they should be retracting their baby/son's foreskin to clean. The foreskin can naturally retract in it's own anywhere from ~3-18 years old (or more), however, the average age is 10 years old. "If intact, don't retract. Only clean what is seen."

Globally women prefer intact penises, especially the majority of those who have had experience with intact and circumcised penises. It's not 80 times worse, infants feel pain as adults do only, more so. Up to 4 times more pain, and little to no pain medication vs. you being adequately medicated for pain as an adult as well as having your full grown penis and foreskin so no guessing. Please stop avoiding your cognitive dissonance. And the fact that you aren't mature enough to type foreskin but rather say "dick skin" tells me I'm completely wasting my time here.

It also normally happens while the child is a baby, as opposed to girls and women being subjected to it at all ages, especially when they reach sexual maturity. This is completely untrue, both are done at all ages to both sexes. I believe the ritual where they slice the underside (subincision?) of the penis is done as a "rite of passage" to puberty age boys. Bottom line for me is that genitals are being mutilated and both need to stop.

Had I not had children, I'd still be in the Army since I had planned to make a career out of it. I'm done talking to you as you have made it clear you hate women and there is no point continui…

Then go travel and love life. You are not required to have a wife or a family. Tell those people who look down on your decision to fuck right off. You've got my support. I have met so many men and women who did exactly what you describe. It's not as bad as you think, they actually get lots of attention and praise for their lifestyle.

You took a piece of my first sentence and ran with it. You are taking valid points and snowballing them to the point that I can't take you seriously. You seem to think all women are the problem and men did everything feminists asked for and are now, all men, horribly oppressed. Look, men have always had rights. The problem is, most recently, those rights have been flat out ignored, stomped on, and are becoming eroded. These are major issues and problems. But you seem to be taking it to another l…

How old are you? Do you have much schooling left? I get so stressed out! I am 30 and in my second semester of college. I get so disheartened thinking of all I have left before I get my degree and I'm dreading math. From your answer, I know you are just like me in that regard. People never understood my overwhelming desire to love and be loved. To be in a relationship (especially since I have always felt so alienated from my family). For some of us, that need eclipses that of most other worthy li…

I really cannot take you seriously because everything you say boils down to "it's all women's fault, men are never the cause of problems. Only women need to change, men do no wrong. Men are always the victim and women the perpetrator." My 30 years life experience in no way reflect the things you are saying. I lived 26 years in California and 4 years out of CA from being in the Army in GA and NC. I'm not saying what you describe and theorize never happens, just that I do not see your explanation …

And I agree with you, but we need not get side-tracked over men vs. women. These emotional problems begin in childhood and we need to examine what we are teaching our kids. It seems we are teaching our boys more often to not feel at all and teaching our girls feelings are the only thing that matter and life has no room for logic. I don't care if you're male or female, if you struggle with expressing your emotions in a healthy way, you need specific and tailored help just for you. There is no "ma…

Let's do something right now. Let's chat, let's bullshit. What do you want to do? I was at the bay on Sunday and the next morning I had a sty on my eye and I was like FUCK did that nasty ass bay give me freaking pink eye!? I've been dripping colloidal silver in my eye and it's better today so I'm in a good mood. How's your day been? I suffer from depression a lot if I'm not careful. Mental illness runs in my family on both sides and it scares me a little. It makes me feel a little better that it…

Communication does not simply boil down to how females express emotion and how males express emotion. It's just not that black and white. People communicate differently. Women emotionally communicate and express themselves differently than other women. Same with men. We NEED to stop looking at this as a sex issue, but rather a human issue. There is healthy emotional expression and unhealthy emotional expression. That's where we can be black and white. I've seen men and women "bottle up" their em…

It seems to tell me that men need women more than women need men, emotionally. The question is, why? Is it because men are biologically more likely to seek the majority of their emotional needs to be met by their partner and women seek it from their partner, friends, and family? Or is it the way we run our society, that men fall apart after their wives have been taking care of them for 40 years because we placed men in the "breadwinner/provider" role and women in the "support/caregiver" role? We…

Sigh...I don't even know what to say. There are two kinds of sex workers. The ones who want to be there and have no psychological issues or sad pasts, these are the people who need protection and regulation in place to provide a safe workplace and provide a service that is beneficial to men and other women. Are the Swedes concerned with male sex workers or just the female ones? Then there are the women with issues, with tragic childhoods or the classic "daddy issues" or even worse "mommy issues"…

I don't think the military should be giving either parent 6 months. The military is always going to be different than most companies who can do more for their employees. But the increase from 6 weeks is a good thing. If I only can't 30 days for recovery because it is the military then she only gets 30 days of recovery because it is the military. You can't make recovery time a blanket time for everyone, that's just silly. Why would I get as much time as your foot surgery for simply getting my wis…

California. I've personally either changed the minds of or helped one parent change the mind of the other for 6 unborn baby boys in other states. The majority of my friends in NC kept their sons intact (mostly because I was in a "crunchy moms" group that I made friends in but even in there it took a year for the majority of women to be anti-RIC) but a few didn't even learn about the issue until years after their sons had been born and were circed and became "regret moms" but out here, even thoug…

Why does it have to be a pissing match? Why can't it be that you needed much more time to recover and women need more time to recover and establish a healthy breastfeeding relationship where she gets her supply to optimum levels? Women take varying amounts of time to recover after birth, with C-sections being major surgery where sometimes the internal organs never go back to where they are supposed to be. Your anger is misdirected. Sounds just like workers who are underpaid but not as underpaid …

To be fair and honest, if breastfeeding, the baby really does need the mother over the father, as even expressed milk loses many benefits of breastfeeding including the baby's saliva communicating through the Montgomery glands to tell the mother's body exactly what the baby needs. Everything except breast milk infant feeding fathers are just as, if not more so in cases, capable as the mother. If formula feeding, 100% equal.

Nah, internet debates. I have no idea where these people live. I'm in a state where the RIC rate is one of the lowest, ~22%. And so, so happy about it.

So you're basically calling me a liar. My friends said over and over they had no issue with him being shorter, that they liked the guy a lot, but that he was always bringing it up. IIRC, one of the girls told me any time they had any kind of argument he would always bring it around to his height which had nothing to do with the argument. Was your argument really that short men act a certain way, and that's why women treat them like that? No and I made that clear. I said why some women may have s…

Actually the most ardent supporters of maintaining RIC have been women. Women also make up a large amount of intactivists, such as myself. But I've never been as disgusted as I was when debating RIC with women. With men it's simple ignorance and cognitive dissonance that I usually encounter. With women it was sickening, their proud claims of giving their sons pretty penises, of his future wife will thank him when sucking his dick (SERIOUSLY WTF!!!!!) and worse. I don't even like thinking about i…

Yet I can't get this through my fellow American's thick skulls who willfully remain ignorant and uninformed about it. Out of 3 guys I told in my English 101 class (starter college class so the three guys were 19-21) only one looked up to see how many countries performed RIC to fact check me and his mind was blown. He was like, "How did I not know this, I thought they did it everywhere." And he was a very smart young man. The other 2 were unmoved, at least visibly. Hopefully the planted seed has …

This is such a frustrating subject for me because as the US runs itself, the vast majority of maternity/paternity leave is a joke. I was in the Army when I had kids and the 6 weeks is less than what's allowed before you take puppies from the mother. On top of that you wouldn't believe the arguments I got into about the 10-day paternity leave (as in "yay progress but we still need longer paternity leave" and so many men scoffed at men getting any leave). My ex-husband and I were in the same compa…

Look, can I give a perspective on one reason that might make sense why some women won't date shorter men? I am a 5'3 woman so honestly I couldn't care less about height because damn near every guy I've ever encountered is at least the same height or taller, most taller. Sure I like tall guys, but short guys are attractive too. I have personally tried to date short guys, as have friends and acquaintances of mine. Every short guy I went on a date with, with the exception of one, was just so angry …

I hate that they excluded you. My favorite writers are all male. I do enjoy plenty of female writers, however my absolute favorites are men. Also, I could be wrong, but I think the majority of sci-fi and fantasy writers are male as well, which is my fave category. Get back to writing! I'm 30 and well on my path to become a therapist and a writer on the side and I'm really dreading getting back into math after a 13 year break from higher maths. I used to quote that "boys are better in math and science, girls are better in English" load of crap for years. Shaped a lot of my perceptions and thoughts for a long time as a child. Which is weird because I was really, really good at math as a child. I was doing 6th grade math in 1st grade (my only teacher to notice I didn't need to put one bit of effort into my work and went above and beyond and challenged me). I took pre-algebra in 8th grade and got over 100% in the class. In 9th grade I had…

True but that means hiring a lawyer and going to court and for a lot of people who get fired that means they have no more income and cannot afford doing so. It's really a screwed up situation overall.
/r/MensRights22/07/15 08:00 PM

You have to prove that the reason they fired you was because of something that is illegal like your race or your sex. The sneaky thing that companies can do is just use any random reason like being late once or anything that would allow them to fire someone at will. You have to have solid proof like an email or witness corroboration or something like that. It makes it incredibly difficult. At least as far as I know.
