I think a lot of the time, the things you see in media are the extreme examples because that's what people will click on. No one wants to read a story about the hordes of feminists who live normal lives and advocate normally.

I was just trying to show you what I mean and give a source instead of just saying something and not giving any sort of source.

The patriarchy isn't all men in general. It's defined by the Oxford Dictionary as a system of society or government in which the father or eldest male is head of the family and descent is traced through the male line. In terms of feminism, it's usually used to describe a society or a culture that puts a divide between men and women, placing men higher up. In short, the patriarchy isn't just a blanket statement for men but a descriptor for the inequality people face for their gender which largely…

I mean, I can't say anything that women are solely responsible, just like there's nothing men are solely responsible for. Sole blame based on something as arbitrary and vague as gender is just not how the world works, in my opinion

I don't think there's any good-faith feminists who believe they're entitled to everything or that men are responsible for everything. And if there are, they'd be a minority.

I don't think we live in a world so black and white that women can be entirely responsible for one thing, just like men cannot be entirely responsible for one thing either. Now, the arguement could be made that x male politician did xyz, but the impact, causes, and steps to go through whole involve y female voter, z male activist, u female supporter, etc... Honestly, generalization of either sex is something way too accepted.

I guess the arguement is given that abortion is a woman's choice because of her bodily autonomy, but once the child is born it's both parents' responsibility to care for it. There was an active discussion on either r/abortiondebate or r/changemyview that gave good insight for me, someone who doesnt know enough yet to form an opinion. I'll add the link if I can find it for anyone interested EDIT: found it! https://www.reddit.com/r/changemyview/comments/nei48p/cmv_a_man_should_be_able_to_financial…

I know they they only recently removed the luxury tax on tampons in Canada and they still have the tax in a majority of states in the U.S.

I think this refers to the different taxes on razors vs. tampons. Tampons have a 'luxury tax' while razors don't.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
