Yeah, I have seen some women with a conservative political ideology buy into Red Pill. Maybe not all of it but they will repost stuff Red Pill accounts say on social media. These women believe in traditional values (even if they don't necessarily follow them themselves). They believe that men should be masculine and providers and women should be feminine and mainly in charge of the home and don't believe trans people are a legitimate thing. They also skew racist (suspiciously making fun of the a…

The other comments here have the best points. But like if you don't like the concept of exclusive monogamy then you can always try for polyamory or an open relationship or something. Don't be selfish: if you want to step out of the relationship for physical stuff you need to allow the other person the option as well. Also I thought that Red Pill dudes think that women are the ones that can't be monogamous?

It's not far fetched: conservative women aren't far off. But usually traditional conservative women will use guidance from (usually Christian) religion to guide their subservience: not a Red Pill ideology. Also traditional conservative women in my experience are usually manipulative AF.

I fully agree, that's a great way to put it "abandon transactionality".

As a woman who earns more than twice what my fiance makes I hear that. We are equals and work equally on household stuff. He may even be a stay at home Dad for a few years if we have kids and he doesn't seem to be concerned about his masculinity at all. To me he's very masculine: I get all swoony when he makes us a nice meal (he's a much better cool than me) or makes me one of his awesome mixed drinks (the best I have ever had - no lie).

Instead of asking "should roles go back to the 50s" maybe ask yourself what you want personally. Personally I don't think enforcing gender roles from the 50s helps men or women. Do you want to be stuck in a sole provider role working a job you might hate and not be able to quit or your family loses thier house? I mean that works for some people but why make that the only option? I think more options are better for people. I cringe when people mention maintaining the birth rate. I don't think we …

I don't know about studies but I look at it this way: look at character not "body count". What's the context? Have they cheated before? Have they just been single a long time and took every opportunity they had? Are they honest about their sexual experiences or hiding things? People may have slept with a lot of people but they were experimenting and realized it wasn't for them. That could be better than the person who was always curious about being with a variety of people and never got the chan…

The problem with that is that sexual habits aren't static for everyone throughout their lives. Someone could have been promiscuous earlier in life then decided it wasn't for them anymore and decided only to have sex in relationships. Then if another person had been only sexual in serious relationships for their whole lives and met the person who only wanted to have sex in serious relationships from now on then it could work. Then vice versa people who have only had sex in serious relationships c…

Jealousy, insecurity, old fashioned patriarchy (from the days that there was no way to determine paternity), and control (the idea that women with less experience are easier to control/manipulate)

They don't try to trick men into submission but they do encourage manipulation. For example the rule to be ready to leave anytime is in theory pretty solid. However the example used was the woman left her partner after he said he was going to be out late drinking with his work colleagues after she told him before he left that she didn't want him to go out drinking. My issue is: no discussion, just left. After saying he had been an ideal partner until then. Apparently it was about "respect". One …

I always thought this idea was a stretch: even for red pill and didn't even fully get the concept. Like are they saying any guy that gets married and supports his wife financially is a beta unless she's a virgin or something? But on a personal note I am a woman and make more than two times the salary my fiance makes (he's a man). I don't see a scenario where he would financially support me in the future unless he wins the lottery or I can't work because of some disability or something. It's much…

There's a lot of people here that can give good advice on that. I just want to say that the r/dating_advice sub actually has a lot of good stuff on it.

And some women who think loud and callous is masculine or something? I am not sure I will ever understand it.

Good points. Just to add to this I grew up with my parents listening to Rush Limbaugh in the car. Because I grew up conservative I agreed with some of his points growing up but never was fully on-board with him. I grew up and my political beliefs are pretty much opposite of my parents now. But one thing I didn't think about growing up and sticks out to me now is that I can't think of a time that my parents ever disagreed or questioned anything Rush said if so, it was small or semantics. It was a…

Just reading through your story and the comments: have you considered hiring a prostitute to have sex for the first time? You could even do it legally: save up some money for a trip to Nevada where it's legal. I very much agree that sex is overrated. It's like masturbation with a little bit more pleasure and another person there. But it seems to be something you have built up into a thing that's maybe holding you back in your head. As far as your ex: if she's having one night stand hook-up cultu…

It's true and fair enough. But people in general are never entirely objective and usually have an emotional attachment to issues they care about. When you aquire wisdom and social skills you learn that most people can't be convinced to change their opinion on an issue and when not to engage or when and how to cut it off before it becomes a lengthy discussion.

Okay, granted it's more complicated than that. I meant, she wasn't that into you. Believe me, men do this to women too. There are a lot of people who don't know what they want and string people along. But in the end it means they don't like you that much and your efforts are better spent elsewhere. Don't believe that it happens to women too? The book "he's just not that into you" was written for women. I don't endorse the book, there's a lot of BS in there. But this message is good: if someone i…

Women really have the same options when it comes to finding a person you are into, is into you, and is compatible. It's difficult for everyone to find good long lasting relationships.

I know what that's like. My fiance comes from another state and most of his old friends are with women less attractive than them. Him and I are pretty evenly matched and I am more used to that norm. Or even less attractive man with more attractive women.

I really wish I could post pictures of the couples I know in person without violating anyone's privacy. Yes, I know many happy genuine couples who are of various heights, weights, and attractiveness levels and as far as I know they are faithful to each other. One example is my friend K. She's in her late 20s and gorgeous. She's married to a guy, we'll call him T that's like 12 years older than her I think. He's got a big nose, big head, like a not particularly attractive italian guy with a reced…

I agree about not trying to have sex the first date. At least if you are potentially interested in a relationship with that person. It's not based on some puritanical beliefs. It's just that you don't know that person well yet and sex will change how you get to know them.

"set up your own red flags" what?? Do you not know what the term means? Red flags are warning signs that the person may turn out to be abusive, cheat on you, steak from you, or just be a toxic partner after the honeymoon phase is over.

Maybe younger women have a lot of those toxic attention seeking characteristics. I definitely knew a few when I was in highschool through my mid to late 20s. But if you're not like them it's also difficult to have a friendship with them. Then years later it seems like most I know either grew out of it or is considered a hot mess that no one ever talks to anymore because those people are toxic and exhausting. Also there's probably not as many as you think. I wanted attention as a young woman. So …

Just to reinforce what the OP said and add to it: Women have different specific personal standards for attractiveness of men. I understand that may be difficult for many men to accept because it means that no matter what you do: the woman he might be into may never be attracted to him. One dating tip for men who are not feeling confident in how they look: find flattering clothes that make you feel confident and take pictures for online dating sites using them. Personality goes a long way with wo…

There are some fundamental errors with the underlying assumptions in this article. The study it references does say that men are more consistent and fair with their attractiveness ratings but highly skew to messaging the women who are rated most attractive. That's not more fair. Women rate more guys as unattractive but still message more guys that are rated in the average range. It's because they are going for the more attainable men. How is that not fair? Also the studies do not track how high …

I just want to add that studies have shown that women don't have a strong consensus on which men are attractive and not attractive. It seems to be more of an individual preference than what men find attractive. "As a group, the women rating men showed some preference for thin, muscular subjects, but disagreed on how attractive many men in the study were. Some women gave high attractiveness ratings to the men other women said were not attractive at all." Rating Attractiveness: Consensus Among Men…

In contrast to the other poster's advice I would suggest online dating. That way you know the other person is 1. Open to dating and 2. Open to dating you (assuming you match on the app). Plus you can have conversations and see if you have anything in common first before meeting.

I think the root of your problem is insecurity. You're fixated on sex and weirdly enough conquest: but you already have her, you're married. Your marriage seems pretty healthy and normal on the surface at least. It seems like the biggest issue is your confidence in yourself. I would suggest looking to other sources for reading outside anything having to do with redpill or pick-up artists. Maybe some guys here will have some good resources for you. You're just hearing negative things from people …

Yes, women like attractive men. Duh. Most people prefer an attractive partner. All people only what to date people they are personally attracted to. Studies have shown that women have a wider range of men that find attractive than men do when finding women attractive. Women find men attractive that may not fit into the categories you are talking about. Whoa, smacking kids? It sounds like you don't value children and think they need to be beaten into submission. Don't become a biological or step …

This is only focusing on one part of your post but people aren't rational in general. We have opinions that are largely determined by our chosen group memberships and base level intuitive pattern matching. Largely we make out minds up on a subject first then try to justify it. So when you're talking about men and women using facts and evidence vs. personal examples that's mostly just justification anyway. That's likely not what convinced them in the first place. Maybe more men are comfortable us…

I mean, just learn to read physical signals. Like, put your hand on hers if she doesn't pull away it's a sign you can hold her hand. If you lean in for a kiss, go 90% of the way there and if she wants to kiss you she will move towards you to meet your lips. Try innocent things and try to touch her in non-sexual places first and if she seems comfortable with that, try more. If she's attracted to you and interested in things going further, she will initiate contact with you too after the first mov…
