Legality conjures up artificial difference. (Unfairly giving leniency for girls, of course bc simps gotta simps.) But outside of it, there's little to no difference. Your twenties is your second decade of adolescence. Thirties is the third decade of adolescence. Forties is the fourth decade of adolescence. Anyone whom says otherwise is in denial. I hang out with older people and I notice a difference between 20-50 and 75+.

Society is trying to devalue young people with the the "brain development" theory. The social expectancy of young people has dropped. It used to be that 15-18 was seen as "old enough to know better and have your shit together". Thanks to recession, helicopter parents, and PC culture, young people are having a tough time finding their footing and society as usual, puts diagnosis on them.

Statutory rape should only be for cases of real grooming, like Epstein. Alot of statutory rape cases are female minors thinking themselves to God for their male age-peers. Female youth is a goddess complex. They want money and attention without having to work for it, so that's why go for older males. It's only when gifts and attention stop coming that they cry "rape". People treat 13-17 and 18-24 as automatic senior vs infant. It's not. Anyone less than five birthdays away from 18 is liable for their own actions. Teens are not weak infants, especially girls. That boy shouldn't be treated as a grooming victim just because he was a year shy of 16. If teens are sent to jail for violence, why aren't they held liable for romantic affairs?

I like how they use the "youth is innocence/immaturity" excuse for young criminals, especially female ones. I'm sorry, but hormones and brain development have no bearing on moral conscience. Huge difference between carelessness and voluntary manslaughter. Besides, people over thirty are mighty careless yet they're never seen as invalid for cognition, even if they have disability. So why should people under thirty be treated any different?
