Being in a similar situation like you right now, I have to say standing your ground will get a lot of pushback but a lot of respect. Also what someone else said is you can have some ready phrases like "cool story bro" to quickly cut him off and ignore his behavior. Maybe try staring at him for a moment or two after he does it instead of lookig away.
