Out of sheer curiosity, and not in an argumentative tone, could you please enlighten me to these rights that women have that men don't? I feel there are societal pressures, and a lot of cultural bias but no rights are enforced that we don't have. Again, I don't mean any hostility, it's all out of sheer curiosity.

I already know what an egalitarian is, I am one I believe. But eh, I've learned a lot from this post. I believe that some people still are feminists and believe it does good, but the majority has been corrupted. I don't agree with the thought that "Feminism helps men too!" But I don't want to forget women as well, as that would be a step backwards.

Eh, it's not fully there. I know that a lot of us here are just trying to strive to eliminate these cultural borders we've put up. However, there still are quite a few who have joined the movement and hijacked it. I know we can stop it though if we really try. Feminism has been turned (Or maybe always has been) into something evil, but this movement still can do it, I know it. I just would hate to see such a strive for equality fall short of it's goals.

No, it is because it is what I personally believe. I have learned from another redditor about suffragattes as well as liberation feminism. Neither were feminists, and you can see them on this thread if you'd like. Honestly this thread has informed me of quite a lot, but it is not what a feminist told me, it is what I personally, as a MRM member, believe.

This is one of my thoughts as well. People will abuse ideas and beliefs to get things the way they want them a they are just bad people. Often times ideas get abused by bad people and turned into something much worse.

Huh, I never thought about it that way. It makes sense in a very animalistic way since were are humans. I still believe it is better now with both genders out of the house, or with the possibility of in the house. I don't believe women should be stay at home the way they were then, but I guess it makes sense to think of it less oppressive than modern feminists do. Stay at home mentality of the wife in the early 1900s I'd think might be a cause of it. Women were expected to only be stay at home wives and to be somewhat subservient to men. This in my opinion would have caused an ideal that women in fact are something you need to work towards to get, sort of like a reward.

Ah fair enough! Though our mentality has shifted since those times, I remind you. Societal representation still isn't just caused by laws, look at President Obama. Each law has people who disagree and agree with it, and it doesn't cause our society to become fully adjusted to those principles. I can't deny it has a part in it, but you have to admit many more factors than laws cause society to accept an idea and give it such widespread fame.

I don't believe we should stoop down to their level. Stooping extremely low is why we're here in the first place. I don't want our movement to become corrupted with evil tactics as theirs is. I don't support feminism in it's modern form.... How many times do I need to say this? When I say feminism, I mean the movement that throughout it's entire history we blame it, but in it's modern form I don't support it. I believe that we seriously pin things that aren't attributed to it on it though, and that is what angers me.

Feminists aren't an ideology, they are a group of people that believe in an ideology. My problem is that we blame everything on modern feminism. Unless somebody is tied to something we can't blame them for it without DIRECT EVIDENCE. I believe we believe in something called innocent until proven guilty. When the feminists attack our beliefs we should call them out and show the terrible things we do, but when they have no direct ties we can't just say "They caused this."

Then why don't we try to communicate with them so we can both pick up the pieces? I know there are some who will willingly admit that there is something wrong and they will try to help. I don't agree with this. While I agree feminism in part helped this happen, I think it's also due to the societal belief that women are "always right" and are completely innocent. Feminism isn't the cause of these as they've been around for a long time.
