You do realize they also listed an environmental science degree, right? Which is a stem degree....

It's the overtime that makes it worth it from what I understand.

That was the only thing you took issue with? You read the rest?

You are right that I meant to be using equity (which is also what we should be shooting for). Still don't think that women receiving a few more percent of degrees than men for a short period of time so far calls for an immediate halt to their inclusion in Title VII, especially for how long they were an underclass in our society.

Not really sure that women being more educated than men for a short period now is inequality. The reality of the situation is that there is never going to be a perfect 50/50 split (until everyone is receiving college educations because that is basically what is required these days to enter the work force). If men made up 50.00001% of all degree earners, that is inequality. If women make up 50.00001%, that is inequality. The goal isn't to bicker about who is currently getting more degrees right n…

Both of which are wrong. But these are not liberties that have been taken from us. But it isn't a liberty received when black men receive 20% longer prison sentences than white men. Nor is it a liberty received when black men are assumed guilty in all cases, not just cases of abuse. It's just discrimination, all of which needs to be addressed. So yes, it is the case that we are generally assumed to be the instigator in domestic violence cases, and that is unfair, given "... in committing acts of…

Because when they were included in the Civil Rights Act, it was considered a joke source. Also this is not the first time this has occurred in America source.

Not really sure how recognizing my privilege constitutes bitching and moaning.

Part 2: Especially when it comes to Trump, this is a reactionary movement from conservatives who are sick and tired of the left constantly calling them racist homo transphobes. Here is a dissection of Mr. Trump's tweets. 62% of his retweets are tweets made by people at him who follow at least 3 known white supremacist accounts. "58% of the top 50 White Nationalist accounts on Twitter follow Donald Trump." Until recently, I didn't know what the Fourteen Words are, or what seeing 88 on Twitter mea…

Part 1: My comment was too long, so breaking it up. There is a TON of racial bias in the police force. This is a copy of a post I made earlier today which will clarify that there is a ton of bias. It isn't a witch-hunt, because a witch-hunt implies (to me, at least) that we are looking for something that isn't there, which isn't the case. The police are a corrupt institution that protects more than just a few bad apples. Here is an artible that discusses a report made in 2007 by the FBI that ind…

More assumptions! I have worked since I was in highschool, currently in my late 20's. My folks were business owners who got butt fucked by Walmart, and eventually we lost our house. I have worked nights, I have worked days, I have worked blue collar, white collar, and retail. I have worked born again's who paid me more than they should have and I have gotten my contract cancelled and my position downsized to India to save a few dollars on a shitty product (different jobs). I have traveled across…

LOL. Yes, I have had quite a few. Now let me ask you this: Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon? Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned? Can you sing with all the voices of the mountains? Can you paint with all the colors of the wind? Cause if we are asking each other questions that have no bearing on what we are commenting on, I would love to get your answers to those.

What would any law do in these cases, those are societal problems if they're problems at all. And if there is some kind of way to regulate this problem which may not exist, would you kill to enforce it? Unfortunately this one doesn't have a good answer, but these are still privileges that I enjoy as a white person that I would not get to enjoy as a minority. Keep in mind that one of the purposes of government is to address the societal issues that we face, so we kind of have to do something. Fai…

You are right, you are not the person to address that to. Just frustrating to see all the ridiculousness in this sub, as men (myself included) do have some legitimate grievances that are not being properly addressed in our society. Unfortunately those grievances when listed also get associated with nonsense like "The people who want to harm me/reduce my civil liberties/deny me education and social benefits because I am white." Very few people want that, and thinking and stating otherwise makes t…

Could you list for me a liberty that white males have lost? Cause I can't think of one. Privilege implies that we were above others, and we still have the implicit biases that favor us (assuming you are a white male as well) over others that things like the Civil Rights Act attempted to address. Examples of these privledges: I don't get harassed by the cops, even when I am acting oddly in public, I rarely get pulled over, if I apply for a job with the same qualifications as a minority I am more …

No one is taking liberties away from whites. We just aren't getting the bonus of being more privileged than we should be.
