On the one hand, I think we all know this happens. On the other hand, proof? This subreddit has been turning into the shithole that outsiders have been accusing it of being for a while now. These low effort posts getting thousands of upvotes is ridiculous, especially when actual news and discussion gets little to no traction.

My father never said it directly. What he did do was get mad whenever I cried. My mother had chronic pain and mental illness that lead to pill and alcohol abuse. He always expressed his feelings through anger, and hated when I cried. He’s basically the embodiment of a stereotypical man regarding emotions. Bottle them up, don’t show weakness, let it all out in a fit of rage, all the while repeating “get over it” to me.

Show me one candidate with even 10% of the vote that supports "open borders". This is such a common point of attack from conservatives, but I've never seen anyone advocate for it.

I totally agree with the sentiment here, but holy shit, guys. Gold, silver, and thousands of upvotes for a Facebook tier post with a typo in it? I'd say we can do better, but I've lost a lot of faith in this sub recently...

"Carrying the baby for 9 months" diminishes the situation way too much. Not to attack your comment, but I think we should expand upon what it would mean to force her to keep the child. Her body will be wrecked, left with a minimum of massive stretch marks, scarring, and loose skin. If anything goes wrong during the pregnancy, she could suffer even more serious injuries that may or may not heal over time. Death is an extremely small possibility, but it still exists. Then there's mental health. Po…

It’s difficult for me to not feel that most baby boomers are the assholes. They had everything handed to them and then fucked their children out of the same life. Now, they wonder why we are complaining about not being able to make ends meet with a college degree. Meanwhile, they didn’t even need to have a fucking high school diploma to get a livable wage. Of course, thats not to mention the fact that a majority of them are just as, if not more, bigoted than any radical feminist will ever be. Th…

There’s a real counter argument to this that needs to be addressed. Once the baby is born, it has to be financially supported, and the parents are the logical choice. Yes, we could just expect the mother to raise the child on a single income, but that’s not fair to the child. In the end, in most cases, it was still the choice of the father to have sex. He knew there was a risk, no matter how small, that the woman could get pregnant. The child had no say whatsoever about being brought into the wo…

Stories like this are why I'm glad I'm gay. Never have to worry about children. I just wish feminism hadn't sunk its claws so deep into the LGBT community so early on.

Even when they claim that they care for men, they blame everything on "toxic masculinity". In other words, it's still all men's fault and they should just learn to be better, unlike women, who are perfect.

Always annoying to see how feminists twist everything into a women only issue. Of course we should care about homeless women as well, but I can't think of any reason why it should be a gendered thing. It's much like the circumcision debate. Whenever FGM is brought up and someone mentions MGM as well, they all screech, "BUT IT'S NOT AS BAD AS FGM!!!", as if that's a valid reason to ignore it. Of course, that's if they even acknowledge that it's bad to begin with. It's always about the women up un…

Here we go again promoting someone who isn't even relevant. In the end this is only going to attract more attention towards her, which is the opposite of what we want. Why don't we focus on more relevant people, or better yet, the issues themselves.

Why do we care what Riley Dennis says? She's a random 60k sub Youtuber (that's not much for Youtube) that is honestly irrelevant. It's just so weird to me that people keep posting/replying to her content, which only makes her message reach more people in the end.
/r/MensRights30/09/18 08:22 PM

Have you read the comments here? There are comments being upvoted that are outright calling her a man. It's really not hard to respect someone's preferred gender if they're not using some ridiculous pronouns.

Unfortunately, the MRM is a very good cause, but many people within the movement are far/alt right. It's basically just the equivalent of how the SJWs have taken over the LGBT movement.

Yikes, is this really the hill we are going to die on? For some scummy politician? Why couldn't we get this riled up for other false accusations that were provably false? Why do parents feel like they are entitled to anything and everything just because they had a child? Most of the time it’s their choice to get pregnant, go through with the pregnancy, and not give it up for adoption. It’s not a fucking secret that having and raising a child successfully is one of the most difficult things you will do in life. If you can’t handle it, just don’t have the fucking kids. We already have enough.

Are you really basing this off of what racists and homophobes said in the past? They were scared of consenting adults gaining rights that everyone else had. These were people that supported lynching, segregation, etc.. Additionally, I'm really not seeing any actual support for pedos. Whenever a celebrity is found to be a pedo, they are quickly raked over the coals. The only exception might be women, but they get an automatic pussy pass for anything, unfortunately.

Not being normal is not a bad thing. There is nothing about being gay that harms anyone. However, with pedophilia, there is harm being done. Pretty cut and dry difference there.

Schools are filled with insane teachers like this in my experience. Every year, there'd be at least a few teachers that would explode into a screeching rage every day, sometimes against the whole class, sometimes singling out a specific student. Of course, it was always a female. Could you image if a male teacher did something like that?

Every time I see shit like this, I worry about how much it will damage the perception of the gays. This is especially fucked up since gays fought so hard to disassociate HIV with being gay, but here we are, doing the opposite now.

The difference in attitude between stuff like this and male-only barber shops, clubs, and other establishments is ridiculous. I’ve seen a feminist claim that the whole world is a male-only safe space, and that we don’t need specific male-only spaces. Meanwhile, we still die more and sooner, kill ourselves more, lose custody of children more, and so much other shit. How the hell are we the ones living in a worldwide safe space?

I had this happen to my mother when I was just 13. She had a seizure and hit her head, leaving her completely paralyzed, only able to speak. I lived with my grandparents at the time because my relationship with my parents was already strained, but I still lived only 5 minutes away and saw them at least weekly. I saw only a fraction of the stress that being a caretaker for someone like that brings, and I'm just not sure that I could do it either. I can understand why this woman feels that she can…

To any woman who speaks out against them, they simply have to yell "INTERNALIZED MISOGYNY!", or some other nonsense. There just has to be some underlying reason for why a poor, oppressed (but also strong and independent) woman would ever speak out against the narrative, you know, aside from them just looking at the facts and realizing feminists are wrong.

Female teachers shrieking at kids was honestly normal for me. It wasn't all of them, but about a third of them throughout my years in elementary and middle school would be like that. How can you use anecdotal evidence and then call someone else out for using their own anecdotal evidence? Do you not see how incredibly hypocritical that is? Using an ad hominem doesn't help your case either. Also, while I sympathize with your struggles, you have to realize that being homeless makes your experiences extremely skewed in a certain direction. This shows one of the major problems with feminism: it takes away people's autonomy. She automatically assumes that men like to be objectified, so it's fine. Meanwhile, I'm sure that she thinks most women hate being objectified, so it's the worst thing ever. Why can't people just decide for themselves and speak up if they don't personally like something?

We have some great posts here along with a long list of valid points regarding why we need a men's movement. I had anger issues, depression, and social anxiety by the age of 10 because my mother got addicted to pain killers when she started to get intense migraines, as well as a herniated disc. Yes, I've always agreed with the basics of MGTOW, but a movement or idea that tries to limit or exclude contact with specific people usually ends up attracting hateful people as well. In this case, if someone wants to avoid sex, marriage, and/or having kids with women, I can respect that. Unfortunately, it has turned into something much more toxic in the past couple years.

Not sure how much of a problem I'd have with this if he didn't include her gender. 200 hours of community service does seem reasonable. However, since it seems clear that gender played a part in the ruling, it's a pretty obvious example of a pussy pass.

There have been more than 1 million people nation wide protesting. One woman demanding violence is not only irrelevant, but expected. Of course there are extremists in a group that large. There always will be, no matter what the cause. The second image is about her being mad that women have to pay for tampons while men don't have an equivalent. This story alone sums up 90% of all these gender issues. Both claim to be the victim, but the woman gets all the attention and the man is left to fend for himself. The male is instantly seen at the bad person while the woman is seen as the victim. On top of that, people will still say that women are the oppressed ones living in a patriarchal rape society.

I never said that. Being healthy is ideal for sure, however I would also say that people should live their lives however they want, including being unhealthy. Those guys on TV that go around the country (or world) to try all the crazy and unhealthy foods are overweight, but it seems like they enjoy their lives. No, there was no rape, and I never said there was. However, I don't think it would be crazy to make filming sex without consent to be a sexual crime of its own. As far as surveillance cameras go, if you are having sex in public, it is your own fault if you are filmed by them, as you knew the possibility of getting caught, seen, filmed, etc was possible. The problem is that those feminists are not stopping the bad ones. They aren't standing up and taking action. The bad feminists now put laws in place and are pushing for more. I'm gay. Can you help me comprehend this? I read this multiple times and I still don't get it.

Well, he just gave you a source. Also, your vote count is positive at the time of me posting this. Are you still going to stand by that?

I believe you, but you gotta get a better source than that. It says right at the top of the page "Pictures of Men. Taken by Men. On the T."

It got past 700 at the time that I'm typing this. You were saying?

I think the rape claims are bullshit. I watched one of the girls' videos and there was no evidence to back any of it up. On top of that, it is way too fucking easy to tag a guy who is already seen as a bad person with all sorts of other atrocities. As for Laci Green, I don't like her at all. She's the typical feminist, spreading lies and misinformation all the time, especially about men. It's especially bad because she is spreading a lot of bullshit about men and their sexuality, along with simi…

There was an /s there, but if you knew that I was being sarcastic, then yep you are right. I've seen the same exact thing myself.

Gay men are the most sexist and misogynistic people on this earth! They don't love and adore women with all their hearts, so how could they really be fair people that want true equality? They only keep women around for the necessary evil of reproduction. /s It's really sad though. As a gay guy myself, I've actually seen a few women who truly believe that gay men are just all sexist pigs that hate women. Knowing how feminism works these days, it's not impossible that the mindset could spread...

It would seem I definitely had the wrong impression of MGTOWs. I agree 100% that it can be dangerous to get into a LTR with a woman in the world we live in now. They have too many ways to screw men over, especially if a divorce ever comes around. The only real problem here was that it seemed like MGTOWs were misogynistic and the MRM accepted them as part of the group, which was worrisome. However, it seems that was wrong. The reasons to be a MGTOW are very valid and even though it doesn't have m…

Well, some of the people I came across honestly did seem anti-women because they went beyond cautioning people from getting into relationships with women. They went further and just outright insulted all of them in pretty harsh ways as well as a few saying women shouldn't sleep around or have a lot of relationships. However, if what you're saying is correct about MGTOWs and their beliefs, then I think it's fine. In fact, teaching men to not seek identity and self worth from others is a great thi…

I'm not a fan, but I think I totally understand why they do it. Some of the other people that commented brought up good points as to why some men are MGTOWs and I really can't disagree. I have also definitely seen some of the MGTOWs complaining about women having a lot of partners, especially sexually. It was one of the main things that bothered me along with some of the other anti-women stuff. You make some good points about how MGTOW seems like it could be the male version of feminism. The one…

First, I guess I was trying to say that we don't actively talk about women's issues very much, or at least I don't see that. Almost all focus is on men, and there is nothing wrong with that in my opinion. I definitely don't think the MRM as a whole doesn't care for women's rights or issues. My concern was just with the MGTOWs as far as that goes. Second, I do agree with this fully. My main experiences with MGTOWs, online and otherwise, were just with the wrong ones it seems. The ones I found usu…

I actually fully agree with and understand what you are saying. You are completely right in my eyes. I guess the problem is that I was exposed to the wrong kind of MGTOW. The ones I saw very much seemed to be anti-women, but maybe I'm still wrong with that. Maybe they were what you describe, but they were just taking a....harsher approach to the topic when talking about it. Of course, something such as MGTOW could also just bring in people that are truly anti-women, even if most aren't.
