I am exactly like this with mine. It is so much better than the alternative, and my kid enjoys interacting with everyone at the same time when we are out doing something. Win-win, and I like the guy she married after me really well.

+1 for TRT - it made a world of difference for how I feel, how I look, and my overall well being. Easy way to maintain testosterone levels. I’ll never get off unless my doc makes me for some reason. My blood work is always spot on.

My ex did the same thing, my kid was a lot younger than yours too. Luckily I’ve grown to be fond of the guy she moved in with, and get along great with him. They’ve been together now longer than we were married. All worked out.

I would just move on and if she wants to hook up she’ll make it known. Why give so much thought to one girl doing this kinda shit early on?

Focus on taking care of yourself and your house/kiddo/well being, and being patient. It’ll all work out. Have your kid help you with some of those chores you put off perhaps, make a game out of it.

Not a lawyer and prolly depends on state, but my state has laws on the books that indicate if income is over a certain percentage from when support was calculated, and the amount of support will change by a certain percent, can go back to the court whenever for a recalc. The prosecutors office usually gets involved to ensure everything is on the up and up.

Same with mine then we got a divorce and judge calculated based on what she had been doing for several years versus full time. Now that our kiddo is in school I’ll debate taking her back at some point to have them compute like she is full time, but my salary has went up too so I need to be spot on with whether I’d actually get a reduction in support or not. Plus she buys my kid nice clothes so I’m less worried about it now tbh.

It’ll get better. I’m almost half a decade removed from this kinda scenario. And I get my kiddo less - but they are so excited to see you and you are always dad. There’s that connection to them. Try and get your mind right, be strong, and know it’ll get better. I’m pulling for ya.

I’m in a red state too, and my ex failed it but had a prescription for what she failed. I’m not a judge but I guess it would depend on what they fail for. We have delta 8 and other thc products that are legal here so I’d imagine popping hot for thc prolly not a big deal to some judges. But who knows. Wish you the best.

The voluntary is something I did too and kept the results in case something came up, without her knowing. It will get better, hoping for the best for you all. I would record any interaction with her for a while on his phone without her knowing and just stay hyper vigilant for a while. Take care.

My ex did something similar. I would expect her to request a drug test during a court hearing to try and catch him, that happened to me and the judge made us both go to the probation office in the courthouse after the hearing to take one. Make sure he is clean or gets clean if he isn’t, when my test came back negative the judge stopped any restrictive parenting time on me and things were more normal. Just my .02.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
