| 1 | I just don’t like anyone anymore…I struggled too. My divorce was final weeks before COVID quarantine and I just got used to being alone & in my own head most of the time. Went through a period of destructive behaviors with the free time and loneliness. Couldn’t find much joy in many “hobbies”. Like they say, connection is still important and over time talking to friends & family (and therapists) helps; and keep trying new things until you find joy again. | 1 | Made myself small for herI think it depends on the woman… my ex was avoidant-leaning, was maybe chronically ambivalent and had a limited capacity for sustained closeness. If I stopped being the nice guy and stopped trying to lead connection it might have bought me some time, but doesn’t necessarily mean she would have eventually leaned in either.
