Thank you! And I mentioned this to another comment but the way I see it, approaching in person makes you stand out immediately in this technological day and age, and you can get a response right there and then too. As long as both parties are not overstepping their boundaries, everything should be ok I believe.

Thanks Doc! Best of luck out there, we're all rooting for you.

That's true. What you may interpret as friendliness can come across as something entirely different to others. You might not necessarily be at fault, it can just be the way that specific person perceives you. Humans are complicated lol

From a girl's point of view (yours and your female friends) what are 3 things that instantly pop out about a guy when he approaches? Body language? Clothes? Speaking tone? Eye contact?

I appreciate it. As far as I'm concerned, alcohol is one of the few things that helps me with AA but I don't want to use it as a crutch. Do you guys recommend playing around to the question (making small talk at first) or asking her right away in a confident manner?

Yup, smartphones are the new norm these days. The way I see it, approaching in person makes you stand out immediately, and you can get a response right there and then too. Almost seems like a dying art.

Here's my thought process: even if she didn't have a boyfriend, most girls use this excuse to safely say no, because let's be honest, girls are humans too and no one wants to say no outright. That's just too mean. And I respect that. I'm not going to be that pushy guy. If she doesn't want anything to do with me, I just wish her a good day and I move on with my life.

Not sure if it's the same for you, but I'm also pressured by the fact that I'm young and having issues like AA. Makes me feel like a cast out when lots of my buddies have no issues with it

Just something I have to adapt to I guess.

Thank you so much for the kind words. And I absolutely agree, even her body language seemed more open afterwards. And I made sure to say goodbye to her when I left and she seemed happy and not at all bothered. The creepy guy vibe is something I hope to never get.

Objectively speaking, it shouldn't even be that big a deal to ask a girl out. She says yes, right on! She says no? Move on. But it's such a foreign concept to many of us (including me) that I truly believe it's the hardest hurdle to overcome. Everything else will come with experience

A part of me would not even imagine that scenario as a possibility, but another part of me knows that's possible with a lot of hard work. Hopefully we all get to that level someday!

Yeah I'd much rather depend on myself than others, which in turn may make me seem closed off, but it's just I'm better alone without the fear of someone holding me back. How would you say it's working for you in the context of seduction? Any breakthroughs?

I appreciate the lack of sugarcoating. It leads to honest discussion and gives a better sense of reality. I definitely will take some of your advice to heart, and clearly there's some thinking and compromise that has to be done. Thanks for the advice!

Happy belated Canada day buddy! Also thanks for the input. I'll definitely keep in mind that they'll be in a partying mood. But hey, we'll see if the Texas heat will play a role in going out ;)

Besides those questions, what did you find was a better topic for discussions? Thanks man!

How can you think about negative aspects when you see her as perfect?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
