the issue today is that the top 20% is now not really cutting it, especialy for the type of women men that have put in the work and hit the top 20% want. ok, so you're now in shape, making good money/financially indepedent, dress well, have good social skills etc. naturally, you want the same from a women. but an in shape women throwing on a nice dress lookign sexy with curves that owns her own place and is socially charming and has a good career is most likely going after the top 5%.

the alternatives are becoming less and less viable, unfortunately. have you seen all the phone zombies out in public?

I tend to attract women who came from strong traditional households as a child. Lots of rules, displicline, strict upbringing, stronger father figure. Conversely, women who grew up more in artistic / liberal households or had things like daddy issues / sexual trauma are often never attracted to me. why? I think it's because I'm fairly stable and don't run on an emotional rollercoaster, and am principled in my thoughts/opinions. women that have had trauma/abuse need that "high" that I cannot prov…

that's over simplying it. there is a grey area early in the dating process (I'm talking like messaging stage to maybe 1-3 dates) where true chemistry is not always the deciding factor. looks, charm, charisma can be just as important as of a deciding factor, and are what men have to learn in order to let women give them a chance to open up and see if chemistry is there. I may be an outlier here, but I think a lot of true connections are being discarded over women (and men as well!) going after th…

did you read the part where I said"IF HEALTH ISSUES ARE EXTERNALIZED"? We are in agreement.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/26 03:16 PM

I said "if health issues are not externalized". the 6 foot handsome guy with early stage liver chirrosis, cancer, and high blood lipids with no externalized signs (yet) will stil be the hot handsome 6 foot guy. here's a fun one. I have an automimmune disease psioriasis. with biologics my skin is completely clear. and I have very good skin and have been complemented on it frequently. no one is the wiser since it is not externalized.

Dating is supposed to be fun. but it's also kind of an arms race for men. you are competing with all the other men that are giving her attention, and also realize it's an "arms race". you have to get to her first / compete for her attention to give you the chance to really connect with her. whether you like it or not, it is what the dynamic is now. ignoring it doesnt change that. obviously, the main goal is to have fun and connect - but realize that it is a competition. slip back and get lazy ab…

you're flat out wrong. What matters is what is externalized. if health issues are not externalized, no one would know. how is that such a hard concept to understand? Also, a lot of things you mentioned really don't play a big factor in catching a women's attention. a strong libido? how does that strongly correlate to externalized health factors that women would take notice in?

eh, I think it's a bit of both. to your last point - men need to be pickier as well. that's a big part of the issue. I don't think that is talked about enough.

yup, still as you get closer to 40 it's true. women are more indepedent now and typically women in their 30s/early 40s are actually FAR more pickier than women in their 20's. At least the ones that I go after.

you are wrong. most men want a single women/partner. its mostly the top men that have chosen to capatilize on their position in the dating market that are dating hoards of women, because they can. this makes normal men realize that they must spam women to compete - they cannot put their eggs in one basket. they have to play the game to join in. its all an arms race in the end. a perverted arms race. yeah...dating apps have fucked the world. or moreso - the overuse of them. I don't know who to bl…

dood, I am 100% (at least from the outside lol). and being in great health does not mean attracting women is easy. what about a short balding guy who is in good health? you have no idea what you are talking about. I actually look far healthier and in shape than 95% of men my age. willing to DM you pics to prove it.

1) I believe things are rapidly changing now - and we will see the affects soon. most people under a certain age will not get married soon. 2) I said that women are passive actors unless you are the top 5%. This means that as a man you probably need to be in the top 5-10% to just "do your thing", not put any effort into dating, and have women persue you.

I'm more successful/confident/sure of myself than I have ever been (hit 4 mil before 40 and almost ready to soft-retire, tons of traveling, in great health, cultivating my hobbies I love, and generally treating life as an adventure) - yet the state of dating in america is the worst it's ever been. that's been very reflected in my dating life recently It's hard to NOT blame yourself and get down in the trap of feeling like you are not enough. the only real solution is holding to your standards/pr…

she was serious - I actually said that exact line you mentioned lol. "guess I'm not a real gentleman then - sly smile" (it was too easy of a setup haha) she was actually pissed - but I think she was pissed at guys for some reason. like something happened.

Anyone who has half a brain cell and basic pattern recognition could see the whole looksmaxxing thing becoming mainstream. reliance on social media for dating prioritizes looks > women are pickier and men are thirsty, which forces men to be be better looking > the hypergamous cycle means womens' looks standards increase higher > this forces men to be even better looking, starting to resort to more extreme measures to beat out the competition like bone smashing and leg lengthening

I have a body that would grace a boxer brief ad, after working out for 10+years and having 6 pack everything. I tell, you, it doesnt matter unless she is ALREADY attracted to your face/height. no women has ever found my physique attractive by itself - however, if they were attracted to my face - then they are

Nailed it. if you dont pass the threshold, and the threshold is based largely on immutable qualities that women for the most part universally desire (you're not fucking convincing me on this argument, sorry ladies), then the rest of the "try harder" stuff doesnt matter.

JFC not this type of thread again. Women's attraction is about making them FEEL a certain way, versus a checklist. Ever see a women rattle off her checklist, only to see her date someone missing a ton of stuff off that checklist? now, there are things that overlap in the "venn diagram" between the "self improvement circle" and "attracting women circle", but it's far less than what people think. and it requires a catalyst - which is what you speak of....and to my next point... the lack of intermi…

No it hasnt, you must be very young or completely unaware of how teh world has changed in the past decade. if youve been around dating prior to covid people absoklutely chatted with strangers. abso fucking lutely. no, maybe not randomly going up to a women while she is packing her groceries and asking her out, but like... out at bars, smiling at the park, saying hi on a walk, etc. I was at a coffee shop today and a women just plugged in her charger in my personal space (like reached out near my …

The issue alot of men are realizing is that it's hard for dumb reasons. dating is completely perverted today We refuse to meet in third spaces, everyone is stuck in their phone, talking to strangers (especialy flirting) is considered harrassment. instead, we make meeting on apps the status quo - where people select people 95% based on superficial characterists (lets be fucking honest here) the only saving grace is meeting through friends/co ed sports/hobbies - but these are WAY overrated for mee…

100% this. OP is forgetting there is a grey area that exists where she is not either intrigued or offended by you that you can turn into a hell yes by flirting/conversation. and 95% of men will be in this grey area - most men dont get signals of genuine desire out of the gate. my last gf was beautiful (more than myself definetely) and she never gave me "hints of genuine desire" on her first or second date. In fact, she told me on our first date that it was fun and nice, but she didn't feel a ton…

Has anyone had such a stark difference in attraction from the opposite sex based on location? I'm talking like....tons of interest versus almost no interest. currently dealing with this now and honestly may decide to just move to another city or date in other cities to see what it's like. In my previous location I'd get looks from women, I'd meet new groups of people and at least one or multiple women would be interested in me. Hell, I'd actually get approached at the bar or restaurant semi freq…

I find interesting how women project their adoration and love for you on to other women - like it completely changes their perception of how others would view you my previously gf was attractive - and obviously she found me attractive as well, and moreso overtime as she got to know me and adored me. I don't consider myself objective attractive at all - not ugly, but just nice and average. Sometimes she would always ask "lol tell me how much you get hit on when you are out - It HAS to happen a lo…

how do you guys deal with sex drive but also unwillingness to deal with the whole dating dance? was in a relationship for over 2 years - got that fulfilled (obviously). Now I've been single for a bit and it's starting to get to me - downloaded the apps and put "casual fun", got a decent amount of matches but running into the whole spiel of people not messaging back / having to maintain conversations / being obviously catfished when I find their social media. all that fun stuff. in the end I just…

I mean - why be so black and white about this? maybe just broaden your dates a bit - you don't have to go on every date. also talk to women in person, men, people etc. you aren't doing a service to the women you aren't super interested in but going on a date for "practice". But I do sympathesize with you on finding it very hard to find someone you are attracted too, while not really "Shooting out of your league" yourself due to the options women have onnline. And the non-white "penalty" as well …

inspired by a previous commentor on the "female hivemind" women 100% shift their dating preferences to what suits even the local female hivemind - I actually think this a subconcious phenom driven by evolution to only sleep with men that will be acceptable with the local tribe. this is strangely apparent in how attraction preferences shift based on the local environment a women is in. this can extend from groups to neighborhoods to entire cities that have completely different preferences from ea…

yeah, the non-chalantness is not attractive in itself because it does not generate emotion. yet, women will say they love a guy who can control his emotions. but that has nothing to do with attraction. It's a comforting quality to have for a long term relationship. the only context in which this is attractive is if shit is going down and you are able to take control of the situation for both of you calmy. but even then, she also needs to be attracted to you before. the immense impact of facial neotony into adulthood for men vs women is a topic that I'm surprised is not discussed more. I'm not talking about "looking youthful" like brad pitt looked youthful into his late thirties (BUT still had masculine striking facial features). I', talking about due to genetics, you don't develop the strong jaw, facial hair, your skin remains soft and your face generally just looks like it stopped developing after the age of 15. This is a death sentence for men but a HUGE…

I always think it's funny that women confuse anxiety with attraction and men can actually use that to their advantage dangerously. The worst thing you can be to a women is a non-emotion iliciter. bad emotions are better than no emotions. the funnier thing is that men are generally more self aware of this and don't fall for the same tactics as much
