It's about being a victim... Viewing yourself as the disadvantaged victim of the narrative is a natural human trait, you even get billionaire wasp's complaining about how tough they have it. Problem is, when your a victim there needs to be a villain....

Well said. Movements often attempt to simplify their own and their perceived opponents positions, and nothing in the world is as simple as it's made out to be. Yeah, they are going to answer you, because the entire premise is bullshit. The age gap in marriage is 2 years, with the average woman getting married for the first time at 28.6 years. Wait... Free phones? Isn't the Obama phone expansion of the lifeline program still in effect? Also, if they were going to limit it to less than 1/3rd of homeless people, why not make the money really count and limit it to just trans people of color... They may have had enough per person under those conditions to straight up buy them a home.
