now you are being especially intellectually irresponsible. i have to expect more from you.

i am not entirely opposed to this concept but this sub used to be much more strict about gender war crap and i think that is a much more intellectual vantage, discussing. mens advocacy in terms of what government can do, what legislation we should support and what legislation we need to oppose. there are other subs to discuss gender war / sociology stuff. this sub isn’t supposed to be about dating or mens loneliness.

i dont consider people guilty by association. hasty generalizations don’t help anyone. misandrists are misandrists. that is the defining feature. i think this sub has kind of gone turbo charge over the past year. i get that the message we have is rarely heard but we have to hold ourselves to an intellectual standard. a lot of stuff ive been seeing here has become increasingly defensive and prosecutorial. lest we forget many left wing politicians are not effective representatives in the first pla…

it took a lot of hutzpah for me. it was not an easy topic to brooch but my ideals compelled me.

it would expose a hypocrisy but there is a logical fallacy therein. circumcision isnt immoral because doing the same to newborn girls is immoral. it is immoral because it is a violent genital mutilation in violation of bodily autonomy, and a medically unnecessary and harmful surgical operation in violation of the hippocratic oath. its possible that despite this fallacy it could convince people of its unconscionable state.

i tried my damnest to convince my sister not to circumcise her newborn son. i tried my best to explain why it was unnecessary and why it should be apprehensible. she did not care. she thinks uncircumcised male genitalia is gross. i have a hard time showing my face in her home. i met the infant once and i dont think i can stomach a second time.

well they literally couldn’t vote. that is a form of oppression. have to give credit where credit is due. just basing it on outcomes like you say is an ad hoc ergo propter hoc. of course the majority of men also couldn’t vote for a significant history of the nation, only those that were land owning and white. recognizing what in your argument is refutable gives better merit to confirming the argument

ya they weren’t represented in government strictly speaking so thats pretty damning, but their measurable quality of life was more or less the same as men. i particularly dislike the notion that marriage as an institution was inherently oppressive.

i prefer isolation to loneliness. its not like “oh woe is me im a sad virgin” its a viscerally destructive thing, just from a health perspective social isolation is really really bad.

a lot of it is just built on appeals to emotion. like women are still frequently considered an oppressed demographic just because it feels right to them. no evidence or proof to back it up, it just feels right so it must be so. evidence given if at all is usually “we were oppressed 70-100 years ago so somehow we’re still oppressed”.i cant count how many times ive been in conversation with people about the gender wage gap despite a long history of legislation that prosecutes discriminatory wages.

i was just trying to expand on what you said, not arguing against it

the manosphere doesn’t exist, it is the language of the opposition.

i just want to jump in and say many men suffer disproportionately but the loneliness epidemic is universal and detrimental to your health. during bidens term the surgeon general of the US promoted a lot of good science on the topic and he said it was the primary health concern in the nation, outpacing the health effects of smoking obesity and car accidents combined.

i think its an interesting distinction with the figure of authority. i dont agree with the age limits but buffering it for authority figures is an interesting distinction.

you have to remember it’s not always going to be forthcoming or articulate about its inner workings. its going to tell you what it thinks you want to hear or what it thinks is the most likely next response.

but its an easy person to hate, so what better way to condemn a movement than by associating him with it. it makes male advocacy easy to condemn.

every single conversation i have about male advocacy is about how andrew tate is poisoning an entire generation of men. ive never met anyone who actually listens to the guy.

“all the world leaders are men therefore patriarchy. apex fallacy? never heard of it.” they dont understand that money rules the land, not the presence of male genitalia between your legs. i cant just walk into the senate swinging my dick around and get to dictate the future of the nation.

they assume misandry just means complaining a woman won’t have placating sex with you

“men should be helping other men. but you’d better stay away from us women because we don’t owe you sex!”

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
