I'm a bit surprised this is a controversial view? Women can trivially take the other option if they want - they can just like whoever they want in an app or go hit on guys in public. They mostly don't because they don't have to (well, if they're on a dating app, not overweight and have half decent pictures). That's the only point OP is making, right? I mean, you don't have to look at the job board. You could just go hit on someone yourself. OP's point is that having the ability to peruse a bunch of people who've already expressed an interest is a privilege afforded to women but not men. Nothing good or bad about it, but it is a distinct advantage.

In the context of dating apps, this just isn't true though? Men swipe on what, 40% of women? Women swipe on like 5%. Objectively speaking men are "OK" with way, way more women (even if you discount those who they filter after the fact if they get a match).
