Anyone calling LLMs random number generators is an idiot, and if they qualify it with "essentially" then they're a weasely idiot.

There's something to be said for consequences. Boys and men need to face them, so we learn very early on in life to extend a baseline of respect.

What does the first part of this sentence mean to you? "When all other factors are accounted for, men consistently receive harsher criminal sentences than women for the same offenses." Don't answer yet. I'll highlight the part you need to focus on: "When all other factors are accounted for," What does that part mean to you?

By definition, women cannot rape men. Do you not see how that's a problem with the definition? It's why the stats are so lopsided. It's a glaringly obvious problem. How do you not see that?

AI is only as good as the data you give it Indeed. And while the context you provided with your pre-prompt instructuons will tailor the answer, it won't change anything about the massive and biased data set the underlying model was trained on.

It's interesting, and sounds legit, but are there any studies showing men have generally more curiosity?

This is challenging in the workplace. Studies have shown then people treat men and women equally, they are seen as misogynistic. This is especially true of men. If you expect the same accountability from women that you do of men, all those around you and the woman herself will feel you're treating her unfairly. The baseline for "fair treatment" of women is well above that of men. That's why we have to couch everything we say in softer terms, and make requests and criticism of women less direct. …

This is Bob Garfield's story https://bullypulpit.substack.com/p/some-personal-news It's long, but a good read. It explains a common scenario where the one man gets bullied by his female (Adj.) coworkers and kicked out the door, because they bullied him. There's even a clip of Brooke Gladstone losing her shit at him, on air, dropping an F bomb at him, on air. And he was fired shortly after that, after she lost her temper. I don't know if Tom Ashbrook ever fully recounted what happened to him. He …

And where do men learn to become that way? From their female (Adj.) primary school teachers, their mothers, and 90% of their dating experiences with women. Bob Garfield and Tom Ashbrook are were two of the best NPR hosts. Both were bullied out of their positions by women to make more room for more women behind the mic. Neither deserved what they got.

A man child is a slur used to identify a man who isn't upholding patriarchal values. Note that this would typically be something feminism would support, but it's used by feminists as an insult and to the exact opposite effect.

I personally think it was the rise of social media, particularly apps for social media. Actual crime stats have been falling for many years, yet most women active on social media are fed (via algorithms) stories and anecdotes claiming the exact opposite. IMHO social media has done to the minds of many women EXACTLY what Fox News and AM radio did to the minds of Boomers. A constant firehose of reality distorting fear-based content.

I just finished the first season of The Night Agent. Halfway through I was truly shocked that of the three main bad characters, one was a woman. It was surprising and refreshing to see a woman lead share some of the evilness of the story. Alas, about halfway through the season a new explanation emerged. Turns out, that one bad woman had no choice. She'd been "forced" to side with the evil men in order to prevent an even larger evil. This was an unsurprising plot twist. It couldn't have been less…

Men can have children, yes, but just like with women, the chance of illnesses increases the older the man is. Pretending this doesn't happen is extremely dishonest. Sounds like typical feminist word games. Women love pretending words don't mean some things and insisting they mean others, all depending on which is more hurtful to men at that given moment. Another fun word game is insisting that any insult used against women is ipso facto misogyny, as if actual bitches don't exist. They do. Just like dickheads and assholes exist. Only a feminist can perpetually squirm their way out of accountability for using the words they use. In fact, that might be the sol…

The problem is that most of you judge the entire very complex feminist movement based on female US activists. If we're based in the US, why would we not judge feminism based on feminism as it exists in the US? Of course it's a global movement with varying definitions, that doesn't mean it's beyond critique. That just means women are free and able to change the definition any time they wish, and they do. When you ask an American feminist what rights American women are lacking, they point to abort…

Separating an idealized on-paper goal from what the adherents are actually doing in the real world is disingenuous, dishonest and dangerous. It's acceptable in an academic context, for purely academic reasons and discussions, but it's an absurdly dangerous approach outside these philosophical discussions. What's to be gained by extending this generosity to hate groups? All it can do is lend legitimacy to movements that deserve none. It gives them license to continue spreading hate all while hidi…

The white supremacist movement also has some very milquetoast sounding ideals, like "ensuring our children have a safe and stable future". Sounds fair enough, right? This is just rebranded "Race Science". It uses and is built upon the identical methodology white supremacists use to justify their hatred and discrimination. Ignoring all the faulty logic behind it, and there's plenty of that, up until the early 2010s it was widely understood (on the left and the right) to be immoral. We all recognized it as disgusting, repulsive behavior. Somehow feminists were allowed to get away with reviving race science. To this day, they're given a free pass from society a…

The perception gap seems easily explained. When a man doesn't get a job, he doesn't get the job. When a woman doesn't get a job, she (in many cases) feels she didn't get it because she's a woman. (It does not matter if the position was given to another woman.) When that woman explains what happened, other women will (nearly universally) agree: It was misogyny. That's why she didn't get the job. If she feels it was misogyny, it is the role of other women to confirm that for her. If all the people…

Bernie had broad support, across all demographics. Yet only once his supporters became a "problem" for the DNC, did they get gendered as "Bros". And when the DNC wanted to blame Hillary's loss on misogyny, they started marketing the term "Bernie Bros" as a way to pin her loss on men. some of that fear is justified. It is, but it's their's to manage on their own. Instead they shout it out loudly and often, further perpetuating the bigotry and sexism. Great observations. Maddening, but insightful. Regarding HR, in my industry (media) I've worked in large corporations that are 70-80% female and observed time and time again that, despite the gender imbalance, HR still gives preferential treatment to female (Adj.) candidates. It's absolutely not about qualifications, either. I've been in plenty of first round interviews, and seen many qualified male candidates just not survive through to the end. I can't prove it of course, but it seems most HR …

Thank you for this. I noticed years ago how SO MANY of the comics there make no attempt at telling a story or making a joke or even making any kind of worthwhile observation. So many are just "this thing happened" without ANY of the other elements that make people want to read comics. I kept my mouth shut, though, seeing how wildly upvoted many.of the most innane comics there are. Well I applaud your psychic powers, but the remainder of your comment doesn't address my point. It sidesteps it. Yes, there's an entire rainbow of social, cultural factors influencing child development. Yes, movies are included there, too. The point I'd made that you seem to have glossed over is that despite the wildly popular dominant narratives, the blame for many core elements of "the patriarchy" falls directly on women's shoulders. Hiding this fact behind wishy washy platitudes is not how pr…

>The Progressive Narrative claims men are simply fragile, sulking because they lost historical privileges and can't handle equality. The thing that bugs me most about this is that, unless you're in your 80s, then you've never lived in a world where men had these privileges. They've been long gone for decades now, and that's fine. But it's downright stupid to assert that any man alive today and under the age of 80 ever knew or expected any of these privileges. Nobody is mourning the loss of somet…

If they were to believe your correction, they'd lose one of the many items on the menu that they use to feed their seething hatred of men. Remember, that seething hatred always comes first. Taking anything off that menu always has an effect opposite to what you'd expect. Like the wage gap myth. You'd think it would be good news to hear it's untrue and that young women have been outearning young men for a long time now. Nope, that just leaves the seething hatred even hungrier.

There’s this microgeneration of boys that were going through puberty around the time of the #MeToo movement, in 2016, 2017, who are now of voting age, of college age, and they have spent their entire adolescence in the shadow of this conversation, which has been framed very much as: Men are predators, men are harmful, men are trash. It's Race Science. That's all this is. Feminists have repackaged all the flimsy methods used by early 20th century race "scientists" and simply pointed them at men. Think about the methodologies of both and how they reach specific conclusions based on broad population-level data. It is 1 for 1 and 100% identical. It's exactly the same. That's an incorrect comparison. Of course the right has no shame with their insults. The correct comparison is this: You don't hear guys on the left using sexist slurs to go after Pam Bondi or Caroline Leavitt or any of the other women we're against. However, you DO hear women on the left using sexist language to criticize men on the right. See the difference now?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates14/02/26 08:15 PM

And I'm saying it's not effective. I'm saying it's harmful, because these insults don't land in a vacuum. And the transparently bullshit reason that you "don't mean all gays. Take a look at this little convo I had, and how the woman doubled then tripled down that Oh No I Wasn't Mocking His Height! And then the excuse she uses is insane bullshit that nobody could possibly believe. https://old.reddit.com/r/ICE_Watch/comments/1r1kvq6/your_fng_dead_dawg_ice/o4qi5el/ To sooo many wen, men simply aren't people. They couldn't possibly …

You've subscribed to a painfully reductionist narrative, friend. "Women have always had it worse than men," the white woman said to the black man. If you don't see how that's wrong, and toxic, and a gross distortion of history, then please do just run along. But that's the message brown and black boys have been growing up with for decades. I don't like it one bit, and you shouldn't either.

So historically, queens were, what, locked up in dungeons? And the wives and daughters of aristocracy, just sent to the mines like peasant men?

When men don't go to the doctor enough, it's because every single man, entirely independently and all on his own, decides to make a decision that, by pure coincidence and no influence from society, happens to be the same decision made by so many other men. It's a galaxy-level coincidence we may never understand! Meanwhile, women choosing lower paying jobs is never a choice they make, but one which society has forced upon them, and is society's job to correct.

Nobody has a right to abuse the English language, though, or any language for that matter.

As a man speaking with women, one thing has become very clear over the years: Every woman feels that she, and she alone, decides the One True definition of feminism. No other definition can be allowed to exist. If you as a man have ever heard or seen any different definition from some other woman, then no you haven't, stop lying. You need to support women.

You do know we are on her side I'm always amazed at the arrogance of people who think they speak for anyone but themselves, let alone for half the entire human population 😆 🤣 😂 Like how self-centered can one person get? It's just unfathomable

I've always found it hilarious that every woman, genuinely and truly, believes she and she alone knows the one actual and true definition of feminism.

Aside from you and maybe your husband, absolutely nobody believes that.

Then by your definition domestic violence doesn't exist. It's always just "fights".

So to me that’s a fight not domestic abuse. Why?

When a woman goes on a first date with a man she thinks “I hope he doesn’t kill me.” Because she watches too much True Crime and has become sexist and ignorant, exactly as people who watch too much Fox News become racist. It's identical.

This 2% is accounted for more than 50% of the self-harm cases in youth prisons. You're prioritizing self-harm over actual suicides, which are not counted in this stat. Doesn't that make you feel like shit?

Wow, thank you for the great answer. That makes a lot of sense. I'm curious if you have the same "Just be yourself" cliché in Sweden, or perhaps a different twist on it?

I'm not sure. Seems like you'd come off as this guy.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
