5	Any Middle Age Success Stories? Divorce was literally the best thing that ever happened to me! It took about 3-5 months, where i was unhappy, but it almost felt like I was unhappy because I thought I should be. About 6 months in I realized I was much happier having the freedom to do whatever I want, not being bitched at and nitpicked nonstop, and not having to support a walking financial disaster. 2	Advice on how to cope with being alone Im not divorced, but i did get married late and was very happy being alone when not dating, and here are some tips. Get really invested in a hobby, preferably one that involves other people.For me this is poker, I love it get together with a group of people have some laughs, and play cards. For you it might be poker, fishing, golf, disc golf, bowling, pool, darts, outdoors club, cooking, etc..
