Oh for sure. I was referring to how men and women are socialized to express themselves and used "male" and "feminize" as shorthand for that. I thought this was clear with the quotation marks. My point was that I don't think that qualifiers are wholly a bad thing. I don't think that women should use them less, but that men should use them more.

I forget who said this, but it really stuck with me. Men don't want to date women, they want to possess them. I've definitely seen this pattern emerge among my friends and coworkers. Society has convinced men that women will fall for them at the drop of a hat, and that's how they want it to be, even if they claim otherwise.

Ask any lesbian who is tuned in and she'll agree with you. The actuallesbians subreddit is modded by men who claim to be lesbians, one of whom tried to breastfeed his own child. The subreddit is increasingly full of male-pattern objectification and violent sexual phrases. I feel so bad for young lesbians confused about their sexuality, when the mainstream is promoting articles like this to say that lesbian sex includes a penis. Young lesbians are absolutely being groomed into including men in th…

My guy "friends" at the time made so many gross porny comments about Gal Gadot that I never even bothered to see the movie. They had almost nothing else to say about it.

I just want to say I've always secretly thought this! I've always thought the "male" way of assertive discussion was reductive. I too think men should feminize their speech patterns rather than women adopt men's "blunt instrument" way of speaking. That said, in my own professional life I've learned to use male patterns of speech in emails for the sake of looking professional. Anyway, it's very cool to see someone else express the opinion I've held for years.

I often wonder why it is that men have no empathy for things like this. Is it because men, on average, don't suffer this type of abuse nearly as often as women? Men seem truly incapable of understanding the suffering of women. They are dead to it. If this man was raped by a man and it was filmed and distributed wildly, do you think he would understand then?

Well over 90% of violent crime is committed by men. In a world of only women, there would hardly ever be school shootings, graphic murders, religious executions, beheadings, etc. When I walk down the street, the average man I interact with is unlikely to harm me in any way, statistically. But the average woman poses basically ZERO threat to me, statistically. It's not that every single man is potentially harmful to women. It's that barely any women, statistically, are potentially harmful to wome…

Right? These boys are such drama queens. Does this mf really think he could get sent to jail for sending a gift? The only way that could happen is if she has a restraining order like OP said

Interesting angle. It's so weird how men freak the fuck out when they don't have access to women, and women on average are able to keep functioning, living, and even thriving in the absence of men.

This will get us banned. What is happening to women as a class is frustrating, misogynistic, and homophobic, but that word is considered a slur and we shouldn't use it

It is gaslighting on a large scale. Deny your own reality or face ostracization. Pretend that biological men have no advantage in sports, despite them holding nearly all world records, or face harassment. Shut up about your own biological experiences as they are a "privilege" or face being fired. Men on the left who would disavow racism of any kind are fine with this, and are more than willing to release their pent-up misogyny on any woman who dares to stand firm in her convictions. Women need t…

Most subs for women and lesbians are modded by men. In fact, the only lesbian sub that strictly allows only lesbian content is porn subs. This is how little men think of us.

As a lesbian, being told that I should like "penis" when it is "attached to a woman" is so fucking demoralizing. The Westboro Baptist church and the modern left certainly have a lot in common these days. "Have sex with men or you're a bigot!" Dating apps for women are a fucking mess as well, I don't even bother. 30% actual lesbians, 30% "lesbians" who happen to be born male 🙄, 40% couples looking for a third. To anyone who is interested, Stonewall (!!) held a conference on the "Cotton Ceiling". …

I know we survived the first banwave, but anyone worried that eventually FDS will be on the chopping block? Or maybe something more insidious like what happened with /r/pcos, where women spoke up and instead of banning them, which would be bad PR for reddit, they overhauled the mods so that any women who dares speak up in defense of women is banned? Women's spaces are valuable, and this space is far too valuable for it to last on reddit. It's always hilarious when I see it slandered in other sub…

I really hate the "all lives matter"ing of crime. I read all these thinkpieces on what causes violence, on the factors that lead up to school shootings, on the toll of covid isolation and people "snapping", etc. And just how powerful would it be if those editorials didn't say things like, "People are more likely to become violent after months of social isolation" and instead say, "Men are more likely to become violent after months of social isolation"? The former is just not backed up by the dat…

I've never seen a Dworkin quote that wasn't spot on. For anyone not familiar, the new "progressive" left was involved with an incident where a dead rat was nailed to the door of the shelter and threats were spray painted on the bulding's walls. Because Vancouver Rape Relief prioritizes women. Anyone who hasn't woken up to the new-age misogyny needs to, because it's already very far along.

This is one of those reddit posts where I really want there to be an update to see how everything shakes out but I know it won't happen. Regardless of whether or not she decides to help raise the child, I hope she leaves that man. It's going to be easier without him. Also, she didn't mention noticing anything prior to the child being brought to their home. By this I mean did the death of the mother of his child not affect him enough that it was noticeable? Kind of fucked up

They'd probably consider it a positive. Left-leaning men especially love when they get a chance to put an attractive woman in her place.

This narrative absolutely exists on a societal level and you nailed it. That's how you get middle-aged men saying (and believing!) they were "manipulated" into inappropriate scenarios with young women. The femme fatal trope is a shitty man's best friend.

I couldn't believe that Andrew Yang actually brought this up. Didn't get a lot of coverage but he's the first high-profile US candidate I know of who brought up the dangers of porn on young boys.

In a group of people, if women are talking and a man interrupts and I don't divert my attention/gaze to the man and instead keep talking to the woman, you'd be amazed how startled men get. Like they're so used to being the center of everything. Conversely, women aren't used to being prioritized at the same level as men so they are often taken aback when the attention stays on them and not the interrupting male. Just something I've had the chance to notice as this situation happens very frequentl…

Female solidarity terrifies men. Because only when women are able to gather, talk, commiserate, without the influence of men, do women gain independence and agency. That fact is why they hate FDS, it's why even progressive men are trying to destroy the concept of "woman" as a class by claiming there is no single definition of a woman (imagine doing this for any other demographic!) Women are over half of the population. And yet, compared to other demographics, our class consciousness is still qui…

I think sex-based is more accurate. Women aren't forced to undergo FGM because of how they identify, but because of centuries of violence against one sex of people.

Those women lived through the second wave, that makes it just a whole lot sadder. No one would take an interview with analogously "joke" racist questions lightly.

Guys need to understand that if they want to keep doing this kind of thing, women as a whole are going to want to date men less and less. All those thinkpeices on the lowering marriage and birth rates never talk about this side of things. Men pull the "it's evolution for men to look at women!!!" but never in history was there an equivalent to instagram/internet porn. If men really want to keep looking at it, they need to accept that more and more women are going to opt out

I wonder if this is a result of some sort of womb envy or something. Like your wife has just done this miraculous, incredibly thing, she's brought life into the world, all independent of you so you have to bring her down.

It's said all the time on here, but it really is telling the stark difference between RP and FDS. Make the world a coercive, abusive hellhole for women until they're forced to obey you vs. Only date men who treat you well, and if that doesn't happen enjoy your hobbies, friends, and pets.
