I recently had the experience of meeting one of my girlfriend's friends I'd never encountered before, while she was off on a trip. Over the course of our conversation things my girlfriend had told her came up. "Yeah, she thinks you're an awesome cook," or "She says you're the best boyfriend she's ever had." We're hardly without problems, and if I'm her best boyfriend it's because the bar was so low, but it felt really good to see that she compliments me behind my back. I felt respected.

Short term? - figure out how I've changed. Explore the differences in hormones, way I'm treated, pleasure, outlook etc. Definitely try the whole sex with a guy thing. I've always been attracted to the two genders together - I imagine I'd be straight the other direction. Learn to dance. I've always loved the way women dance. New body - new learning curve with curves. Get women to teach me how to do all the things women just know how to do. Long term? I'd find my parents and friends and prove to t…

Why do we want women? Any number of reasons. She puts up with you, she makes you feel appreciated, powerful, respected, loved. Maybe it's sex. Whatever it is it's obviously worth it or we wouldn't keep going after them. _^ If they can't hold her - the appropriate reaction -is- to get sick of it and run away

She's looking for someone strong. Someone who can hold her, someone who can hold up to her. She doesn't get that by submitting. She gets that by testing, pushing, prodding. Finding strength she submits, finding weakness she looks for strength or looks elsewhere. It's not conscious, it's biological. She's looking for the best stock to make good babies.

If someone has experienced a lot and still chooses me that's valuable, much more valuable than someone without any experience thinking I'm the greatest thing. Besides that I know that she's sexual - which is a must, and probably a skilled lover if she's that experienced. As long as she's STD free, I'd take promiscuous over virgin any day!

I recently did this - not a marriage, but a two year relationship. Ended up getting broken up with by both partners within about a week (for mostly unrelated reasons interestingly enough) From this I conclude: Matters on the people involved. Accurately assessing myself I find that I'm not made for that kind of set up. Neither I or my long term partner were jealous in the slightest, but relationships, even outside of sex, take a lot of time and energy, and it's hard to keep up when there are othe…

I know that I'm more creative when I have someone else to bounce ideas off of, and I've often used romantic partners that way. I also know that I'm more productive when I have someone who I care what they think. Necessary? No. Very few things are necessary. Helpful? Absolutely.

If I'm attracted to a woman and she's attracted to me, I can have her in my bed within the hour, with a few very important questions like "wanna?" asked. Attracted people are attracted to each other and barring outliers like asexuals - they usually like having sex. On the other hand if someone I'm attracted to approaches me and they come at it wrong or I'm in a relationship - They can't have me.

Not in the slightest. I'm in college, the single largest conglomeration of females my age I've ever come into contact with in my life. Many of them quite attractive. But there's attractive and there's Attractive - there are usually one or two women I have my eye on at a given time, physically attractive, definitely interesting, but just not quite . . . what I'm looking for. Or maybe they are but they're taken - or they are but they're not interested. We're talking about the times I feel frustrat…

Can you source me? I've never heard that and it sounds really interesting.

I say hormones as if they're all one thing - and as if we have one hormone cycle. As a man I definitely know that over the course of a year I ebb and flow with more or less energy, feeling generally happier, being resistant to emotional attack, etc. People fluctuate wildly on a daily basis typically in response to stimuli, stubbed toes, or insulted mothers, but I would hesitate to call that a cycle as it can't be predicted ahead of time. But I do think monthly hormonal cycles, and their effect o…

It's a mystical sect of Islam. It seeks ecstatic states to come into personal connection with God. Whirling dervishes for example, who dance their way there, or poets like Rumi who find it in small details of the world.

Wiccan father and Suffi mother - it's actually interesting the places where those do meet up with TRP - There's a lot of emphasis on the dance between God and Goddess in Wicca that correlates, and a lot of emphasis on surrender, in Sufism.

Huh - I'm a man and I identify a lot more with your description of Empty Ocean Sexual Frustration - but I don't know if that means anything. Your description definitely makes sense on a biological level.

It strikes me as both a little silly and oversimplified, and fairly interesting - taken with a grain of salt. One of Teenagehoods defining factors is the hormones - the overwash of chemicals that makes us vulnerable, brave, horny, and shy, each in turn or all at once. Most women are on a cycle that takes them through a similar emotional rollercoaster. Still teenagers? It's the difference between being inherently stable (man) and learning to stay upright on a balance board. I would hardly say wom…

5 It's interesting the range of responses here, from people imagining others must be lying, to those agape that anyone could lose count. As the second most sexual animals on the planet (I believe bonobos take the first prize) we have such an astonishing range of sexualities. So how silly to say on the one side "you can't get them can you?" and on the other "You can't keep them huh?" - different values lead to different approaches.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
