I used to be friends with a girl who used to 'play the virgin' with different guys - apparently this is extremely common. Why are you pedestalising virgins anyway? This is oneitis waiting to happen. Also whether she is a virgin or not, if you kick off your interaction by holding her 'virtue' in such high regard, she will pick up and play on it. Be high value, be sexual, invite her into your frame, escalate and close

A fair point so yes, a thoughtful approach is then be needed: Are they at crisis point? Or are they just not making an effort? Some seem to just be seeking that gratification from 'being right' in dishing out their hardline abuse, backed up by others jumping on the bandwagon.

I share a lot of these sentiments. Too many keyboard warriors come on here to get a kick out of delivering the same abusive shit to guys who are genuinely reaching out in desperation. "STFU and lift, faggot." "GTFO - stop being a pussy, man up!" "Go read the fucking side bar." I'd go so far as to say we should be like oak to each other. Yeah they may not have read the side bar, yeah they might have completely missed the point - but when your wife is foaming at the mouth and your life as you know…

Imagine a situation where a girl is so into you that she conspires a way to get some alone time with. As she gets you over while her parents are out, she borrows a friend's car, she takes you to a friend's house whose family are away and she's been lent a key, she drags you into a disabled toilet / changing room / park bushes / a not so quiet cinema / anywhere she can - girls/women are arguably more resourceful at socially engineering and manipulating situations than we are. If she wants the D e…

Have your own projects going on that they can ask you about - don't just sit there wanting to make 'interesting small talk'. Have your laptop and be doing some programming, have a sewing machine out and be making shit to sell on etsy, ANYTHING. If it's a bit odd and they try (playfully or even not so playfully) giving you shit for it then that is a good thing. That's their way of checking you out and is better than them not saying anything at all. Be doing something for you that interests you an…

Not yet having a clear idea of my mission. You can't have true drive, passion and direction until you have picked out what it is that you give a shit about and are consistently working towards it. I reflect regularly on this but I recognise that 'finding and pursuing my mission'is my life's work. Still, when I act on odd motivations then I guess it could be counted as a fly in the ointment as it's not propelling me in the right direction. I welcome discussion on this

Good point, well made. I work in a female heavy environment and for the most part enjoy the occasional shit that gets sent my way. I'll usually playfully trade remarks and genuinely enjoy it as there is no edge on their part - women throwing shit your way can just be them checking you out. There's one cantankerous older battle axe though who likes to get on her high horse. She ranks significantly below me professionally and interpersonally. I'll sometimes play but often just rise above it - ulti…

Yeah I'd agree. I'd also add that buying drinks 'just for her company' is not only a display of her time/company being more valuable than your own, it's fundamentally bullshit as it's a covert contract: I buy you a drink and make nicey nicey small talk then you are expected to fuck me.

People around you will notice a change long before they acknowledge it (assuming that they ever will). Just be chill, STFU and keep working on you - people will notice and some will even resist it. Most importantly: stop caring what they think. Wanting them to acknowledge your changes is proof that you haven't fully changed and are feeling a bit of a fraud.

Sounds like low self-esteem. Accept and learn to genuinely love yourself. "I'm not attractive" - says who? Siblings the world over give each other shit constantly. It's not a fire that's there to burn you, it's a sparring ground and a forge that can create a stronger you. Learn to enjoy and laugh at their attempts, cultivate an IDGAF with this and respond playfully if you feel like it - siblings shit test hard so learn to be better - it'll be tough at first but they'll get it eventually - they'l…

Ultimately, I don't think it matters. Mock and criticize TRP all you want - I'll just keep my head down, lifting, reading and improving me for me. I think it's quite a male perspective to not care what people say - it's all just hamstering and shit testing on a large scale. Acta non verba - stop caring whether people approve of / encourage what you're doing - just STFU and get on with it

Yeah - but you need to learn and accept the true nature of women and then redefine what it means to 'just love her.' If just loving her means you want to pretend that she's your unicorn that will give you unconditional Disney love happily ever after then it will hit the fan at some point. If just loving her means that you accept her nature, constantly strive to know and improve yourself, dominate yourself and lead the relationship, are prepared to walk away and only keep her around as long as sh…

Once she notices you've changed it you could simply state "I've changed the password because I don't want you having unrestricted access to my phone". Treat this as the first of many shit tests. Keep calm, don't DEER - hold your frame of "I'm working on me, you work on you" and be outcome independent. If she kicks off and tries to throw you out the house then keep calm and aloof and remove yourself from the situation - go work out. Then 3-4 hours later play your nice card and continue as though …

This - but don't have 'sticking it to her' as your motivation, perhaps just a fun byproduct as you breeze up and leave her to hit the wall. Lift, read, grow, improve, flirt and get a you-centric life plan. This is about moving away from the mindset based around her and towards your new outlook which is about improving and investing 100% in you. LIFEGOESON - be the phoenix and blaze up out of the ashes

Yeah, you're very BP now but that is all set to change. Get cracking reading the side bar and start working out ASAP. Clean diet, cardio and lift heavy. It's all in the sidebar but I'll put a few pointers below to get you started. The things she doesn't like about you: research shit tests. Nah not offended in the slightest. No, we shouldn't pander or cushion it for guys. Yes I fully agree, we should call people out on their shit and point out misconceptions. It's the knee jerk generic shit throwing that adds no value that I don't think is helpful. I'd suggest a more pragmatic approach where we discuss the theory - I'm just seeing it again and again guys seeking the quick gratification of having a pop at someone who has a genuine question. Maybe they've not fully read and internalised the sidebar or maybe they have but the answer to their particular question may not be obvious - either way, just throwing the same shit adds no value. But does she want to get laid just as much? From reading The Rational Male by RT (or was possibly in Saving a Low Sex Marriage by BPP), it says that this is one of the fallacies that the female imperative propogates. I'm getting married and I plan on having children. This is my choice that I'm going into it with my eyes open to the various pros and cons. The main reason is that I want to raise and mentor a child to be the best that they can be and I think that for me this will be best done in a married relationship. A fools errand? Fair enough. I don't know you and this is just a self portrait snapshot of your life but here's my take on it: At several points throughout your post it points towards you relying on IOIs and opinions of others for your validation and motivation. The main goal of RP seems to be to rely on yourself for validation - become more OI and make self improvement your goal. As for the Christian side of it - 🤷

It does, thanks. Perhaps it would be a different case say a year down the line rather than after just a couple of months of me stepping up more to own my shit - then there would be a precedent of me being more reliable in this way and also bouncing straight back after being ill.

I've not read it yet but it's next in line on my reading list. I have an overview awareness of this but it's good to have it spelled out. For the most part I thought I'd dropped these but I suppose some habits get ingrained - I'm not intentiontionaly having covert contracts, it's just hard to be vigilent with every aspect of my interactions. You sound like a bit of a snowflake that pedestalises women. "She has to be pure for me. I can't be happy with or value a women that has a sexual past." She's not mine, it's just my turn. Mark Manson talks about this in The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A Fuck. Commenting how the media stir shit up and report how different areas of society are outraged and being victimised by everyone else - it's easy / lazy writing if you can get homeowners feeling hard done to by bankers who in turn are being victimised by the government which is supported by x and demonised by y and applauded by z. You opened her frame by wanting to discuss feels. Search your feelings, Luke - you know why she's dressing up and getting needy - getting a girl to spell it out is a turn off and you'll never get a fully rational answer anyway. Read up on SMV, social proof (her seeing IOIs from other HBs) and dread levels. Your SMV may have increased to a point where she's getting the tingles and wanting to keep you for herself. Expect shit testing as she is subconsciously urged to verify by testing your frame. …

As a male in my profession I'm in a strong position for several reasons - parents appreciate male role models at this age and males tend to be promoted higher and quicker for various reasons that I've not fully figured out yet. Do I get shit tested constantly? Yes. Do I mind? Nah, I love it. Give me the best you've got - I'll smash anything you…

STFU and keep doing what you're doing - sounds like this is her response to an increased level of dread in your relationship. Whatever shit she is chatting is probably shit testing - be aloof and pass them. Escalate and smash her pasty. Remember, focus on her actions.

Isn't this negging? Your SMV may not be high enough for her to be pulled into chasing you or possibly even a shit test on her part. Or she's busy? Who knows. Game girls IRL

That could be an interesting position - though I'm trying to challenge my perceptions to become a better man by listening to the advice of men. Even if you do genuinely perceive yourself to be a man with internalised principles of RP with some logical advice that holds up, I'm not willing to take your advice on matters that I'm trying to understand from a male centric perspective as you're biologically female. Regardless of what you identify as, you're not a useful or reliable source in this mat…

Yeah you're right. I think it's a case of me devouring side bar and ingesting as much as I can with nobody to talk openly with about it IRL and living with my LTR - I recognise that sometimes I can get stuck in my own head a bit and having this thread as a sounding board has been useful in getting to grips with this. Thank you all for your advice / critical analysis. This is what I love about the RP subs - you can't grow without challenging your beliefs and perceptions

Thanks - this is the sort of advice I'm looking for - am I overthinking it then? My thought process was: basic rule of thumb is STFU and acta non verba --> wedding tradition is that the groom makes a speech --> most weddings I've been to have the groom publicly pouring their heart out about how they've found their soulmate etc --> this isn't good practice for how I want to start the marriage --> I'll askmrp

How old are you? I'm assuming that you don't live together. May have been better to just completely withdrawn your attention and actively sought out other plates instead - she would respond more to your actions than what you say

Is there a question..? What to take from it: You've gone in green with no experience and paid your rent for a while, you've opened your eyes to what it's like being in the work place, you've stood on your own feet and essentially trained yourself up, you can now go to your next job and smash it

Yes to all of these points apart from "You do this if you can". No - only do this if you WANT to do it and it is beneficial to your own sanity and well being - avoid it if it means risking bottling it and caving in to her. You are your own man - speak through your actions. How does the quote go... "There is nothing good or bad - only hamstering makes it so" 😆

Make the decision on your terms and without her consulatation. If you need to talk through it then talk with a male friend who has red pill tendences (not some blue pill bf of one of her friends). SHE IS NOT TO BE INCLUDED IN THIS DISCUSSION ABOUT YOUR FUTURE. Your relationship is clearly based on her frame so any discussion with her will end up with you being led (or at the very least heavily influenced) by her agenda. When it comes to telling her then do it with the frame "I have made MY decis…

This reminds me of Mark getting married in Peep Show - cringe inducing, car crash comedy. Watch that episode - then ask yourself if you really want to live it. (On the plus side, Mark does end up jizzing in his pants in a stationery cupboard thanks to Dobby.) Hypothetically, if you could secretly push a button and the relationship would gently fizzle so that you don't have to get married - would you press it? Do what's right for you, not what your Blue Pill mate thinks - remember: misery loves c…

After some reflection, I'll also add: To an extent we all enjoy being able to tell somebody about what we've got going on and the escapism of hear about the exploits of others. It's great to go see his gigs every now and then but as your own man, you don't want to be swallowed up into his entourage. Go along, enjoy yourself and when he goes off touring / travelling then say "That's cool, hit me up in September and tell me all about it." Then in the meantime, have your own shit going on that you …

If he catches a sniff of any "I'm desperate to keep in touch with this guy 'cause he's a celebrity" frame then he'll ghost (not saying this is how you came across but it's how many others in that situation might). Sounds alright to me on paper. I'm in a similar boat with with the wondering how I'm getting on and nagging that I may have fucked up. I'm in a pretty good relationship as far as I can see - never went in for the whole DEERing and have always had my independence as an absolute must from the beginning (never asked for permission to do things that I want to do etc). It's hard to quiet the BP demon but I'm hoping that it'll fully STFU over time

Yeah she has a few times - not something that I was trying to hide. I just don't buy into the whole dramatic walking out - it's my house too so why should I? She would go for a walk/drive for 30 mins and either come back wanting to continue moaning/want to talk or have come round and want to make up. I don't think I've 'ordered' her to stop in a sense of being confrontational - I would normally just say something like "You're going round in circles now / this is spiralling and we need to move on…

I've never walked out on my LTR - I have just put my headphones in and pottered about getting on with my own stuff though and she hates it. The 'keep calm and STFU' is difficult at first but easy once you've done it a few times it quickly sets a precedent that you won't entertain the drama

This seems like an awfully heated response to some guy's post who you've never met. I'd have a stab in the dark that there's some projecting of your own self-loathing thrown in there. This sub is supportive because most take an analytical and pragmatic approach to responses. Our intended collective direction is to become more self-aware, to learn from our mistakes through honesty and to celebrate every step that is taken in right direction.

Yeah Lewis, Harvey and Mike usually lose frame at least once every episode. Mike is pretty much a beta orbiter to Rachel to the point where it's cringe inducing to watch at times. In S3 Scotty says something along the lines of "I have to sue Harvey just to get his attention" to Donna when she has his full attention in every interaction - she really gets in his head and has him fired up in the majority of scenes that they're together

I used to think Harvey Spector in Suits was alpha as fuck - watching it again though through RP eyes, it's clear to see that Harvey and Mike are just cocky tried-hard BPs. Funnily enough, Lewis Litt is the most RP (still got plenty of BP traits and behaviours though) but he's almost ridiculed by the writers and the other characters and demonised for it. Any thoughts?

I have very little knowledge of the legalities but is there potential for divorce on your terms due to being 'exploited' for a visa? (The no sex may actually go in your favour). Also - sidebar, lift, raise SMV - make her WANT to jump on you everytime she sees you. If it improves to the point of you genuinely wanting to stay then do, if not then divorce. This is about what YOU want, not her or either of your families. It's your life to live not theirs

I'm really not seeing the issue here... "I need to have your passwords / access to your private lines of communication." "No." And that's the end of that little chat. Edit: It seems quite 'gaslighty' - she's possibly accusing you of things that she's guilty of herself - i.e. not being trustworthy.

Sounds like she's almost challenging you to come along and 'show her who's boss'. I've had some great fun with fiery girls in the past - ultimately, what she says, what she thinks she wants and what she says she wants are irrelevant. Keep the texting short and directed back towards when you are to meet up. Once you do - stay relaxed, hold your frame, enjoy playing with her push/pull, enjoy the tension and escalate

I'm much more self aware and so I wouldn't behave like this any more. On the other hand, I'm in a situation where a few guys (in different circles) are being like this towards me now - a couple have tried undermining me in front of others and generally showing passive aggressive behaviours. I've decided on 3 options: 1. Distance them, keep doing what I'm doing and see if they come around. 2. Have a quiet word and see if they sort their attitudes out. 3. If there's no improvement then drop them.

Fair enough - yeah just reread your OP. I'd agree with your course - if you don't to friend it up with them then don't - she could either not be interested or just be testing to see if you'd go and orbit

Just throwing this out there: Is meeting her gay friend the shit test to see if you can hold frame? I'd have been tempted to go, have fun and show high value by chatting with the gbf and anybody else there. If she has to compete for your attention then that's a potential way in

I did too. That's a hard truth to face so thanks for your honesty and nudging me to be straight with myself. I've had a couple of close friends in the past (more athletic, good natured, more relaxed or confident around girls) that either deliberately (or not) have left me behind. I made comments, tried to rattle them, undermined them in front of others and passed it off as banter or whatever. There's an element of this in what I've been going through. (Have been low-moderate level RP for last 7-8 yrs but have been loving this sub since finding it a month ago). Saw some of my friends this weekend with my LTR, an old friend tried a couple of times to undermine me - under the guise of joking around but there seemed to be an edge to it - LTR tried to join in with him so I went cold on her while keeping frame and just spoke to others. She quizzed me about it on the way to the next bar so …

Functional strength training - if you want to be able to lift and carry heavy shit, then lift and carry heavy shit. Isolating groups is OK but big, whole body exercises that activate most muscle groups are ideal (probably what you did while wrestling). If you develop a strong core and whole body functional strength then it will show in how you hold yourself and move.
