Venting about your ex - has it helped?Hey :) if you need an ear.. sure :) | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/04/26 05:29 PM
Had trial yesterday. Lost the kids. How to cope with this? Please share your tips.Wait? You had 50/50 until that point and then thr court ordered otherwise???? Even when your son asked the judge to keep it 50/50? And you get loads of women arguing that the court is fair and not against father's????? The court is meant to order stability, if they are already in a 50/50 split then that is the norm and they should have kept it that way. This is genuinely sickening. Why do so many fathers have to fight for their children, yet you never see women having to do the same! | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/11/25 08:24 AM
She is done, I can't fix this, here is my story.Unfortunately, this is what the world has and is coming to. Lack on contentment, lack of commitment. 100% brainwashed by a select few on social media. Women are being " empowered" not to "settle". Thing is, most of the time, its not settling. Its a relationship and she is getting bored because its normal. Normal isnt special and everyone wants to feel special. There types dont realise they ARE special.. to their other half. Its sad really. | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/10/25 03:33 PM
| -1 | I put inheritance in joint bank account. Am I fucked? This is 100% misleading. Putting money into a joint account does NOT make half of it hers. She COULD argue that it was a gift for the future of the hpusehold/marriage. The counter agrument is that there is no future, therefore there is no "gift" to that future. (It helps that she initiated the divorce). She has declined the future so should have no benefit from the "inheritance" that was FOR that future | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/10/25 06:12 PM |
Venting about your ex - has it helped?Yep. 100% get you!!!! Did they also actively encourage her as well? That's the kicker! She was a natural intravert, i encouraged her to make those friends and be around people...by helping her, i guess I made my own bed ha | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/08/25 04:37 PM
Venting about your ex - has it helped? It's mad, the lengths that these types of women go to. Just to avoid accountability and not have to face the real world. We can just hope that one day they come to realise what their actions have done and caused. The issue is, I dont think that will ever happen because society teaches a woman to go after he needs in a relationship (with little care for other halves) whilst a man is thought to "suck it up". The betrayal and sudden switch is definitely causing issue in my current marriage (uninten… | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/08/25 05:01 PM
Venting about your ex - has it helped? For me, not really.. I couldn't really vent (apart from to my parents who i stayed with for a month whilst I found my feet). The trouble is: She was nice, we were hugging, kissing etc (my brother even noticed only a week earlier) THEN bam! She turned from amazing to being down right evil and she was being supported in this by all our mutual friends. I couldn't understand why she was being this evil. Just to get me out of her life as quickly as possible. (Almost threats I had to take seriously fo… | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/08/25 03:10 PM
Has anyone’s Ex-wife ever apologized for putting them through hell?I know this is old but had to say something. It sounds like you were hoovering, NOT apologising. You closed down communication as soon as you "said" it. This makes YOU feel better for saying the words, but without actually accepting any accountability from the other side. It's like: im sorry (my closure) .... but won't allow you to respond to also get closure.... he cant say sorry back, he cant say, thank you, you are forgiven. You are bringing up old wounds with zero way for him to be able to r… | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/08/25 09:11 AM
Just got "divorced" two hours ago. Anything I can do?You are in a strange situation (and depends where you live). If in the UK then you will have to split everything 50/50. Usually after up to 5 years you leave with what you entered the marriage with BUT courts take into account how long you have lived together which takes you over the 10 year mark. Lawyer up.... SHE WILL.. when she finds this information out. If you dont, you will be blindsided | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/07/25 06:05 AM
Thinking of divorce - seeking adviceThere is one thing that people are not saying here.... .... guys want to try everything (usually) to fix relationships. It's usually the woman who is checked out, well before the man checks out. For this to get that bad for the op... things must be really bad. Get out. Restart. If you are this unhappy (and it really does take a lot for this level of unhappiness for guys)... leave. You will be happier in the long run. I would say therapy is a good way to go... but a checked out guy is fully done … | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/07/25 08:01 AM
Negotiating the settlementWhy does it have to always be the guy who moves out? Why not the woman? (Or even better, the person who initiated the divorce). Problem is, women can be manipulative and guys tend to be very much less so. My ex wife threatened my job to get me to leave the house. I had to make a choice between future employment in the area I love or risk cautions on an enhanced dbs (cautions show up, the burden of proof is nil for a caution and are a "protection" in case something happened. In this case, the thr… | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/07/25 07:39 AM
Worst divorce story you can laugh about now?I have no idea. We didn't talk post seperation. Given the outright animosity. I'd be tempted to say pretty much straight away as it doesn't take a genius to guess that that was the real reason why she wanted a divorce | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/06/25 05:23 PM
Worst divorce story you can laugh about now? This will beat all of your stories out the water... seriously... Divorced my ex (she asked and filed). For the pest ten years we were amazing together and never had a big argument. We were cuddling and messaging love yous till a week before and it came as a shock. Out the blue. She turned really really nasty. I mean, mega nasty (which she had never been in the lest 10 years). Accusations (without accusing outright, but enough to fear for my job, requiring an enhanced dbs) So... everything eventu… | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/06/25 09:32 AM
Shitty way to bring up divorce.Yeah, my ex wife decided to be a coward and do it via Gmail message... yeah, wasn't a good way to find out at all | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/05/24 11:55 AM
