Misogyny is pretty easy to spot because it relies on confrontation and intimidation. Misandry had to be subtle otherwise it would have been dealt with instantly. Misandry doesn't stop at irritation, it can lead to death albeit from suicide. The problem is trying to figure out the motive. Hatred towards a particular individual who happens to be a man vs hatred to all men. Since misandry is subtle it is harder to prove. If it was blatant as misogyny it would have been dealt with when it was recognized. That is why misogyny is so well known is because it didn't need to lurk in the shadows. It was said by people who had power/authority and thus was visible.

And that statement is based on the fact that women lie more than men. Filters, makeup, bbl, wig, fake eyelashes, implants, plastic surgery, etc. So when someone says that women are more attractive than men, they are comparing the lies in with everything else. Most men are pretty natural though the beauty line of products have been getting larger for men (hair dyes, hair implants, etc).
