Not all of the projects, but some of them, definitely. I'd estimate probably around 50/50. Regardless, your point is certainly valid and taken. Like I said in the post, displaying leadership is where I need to put my focus at this time.

Background: Career beta 28M married 1 year to 27F, living together ~5 years, together ~7. Lurking here for a year or two, 7 months of putting in work. Fitness and Nutrition: Not going to post my weight/BF% numbers because they are outdated and I haven't stepped on a scale or taken the measurements in a month or two. I don't really think I care that much about the numbers because I know I'm looking and feeling better since starting lifting 6x/week. PPL split still going well. I made the decision …

Any recommendations on what I could add on my rest days that wouldn't ultimately slow me down on 5x5? You could look into adding some HIIT cardio work (Hill sprints, shit like that). Kettlebell work is also really good for this too, in the same vein. Or when you feel comfortable with form, ect. you could switch up to a different split. I personally went with a PPL split for this very reason. I had trouble with getting into that habit, but now my workout time is sacred and can not be fucked with.…

Not to victim puke here, but it's never really been spectacular, except for the first maybe 6 months. Initially, I chalked it up to logistics (I was still living at my parents going to school, she was in a similar situation), we eventually got an apartment together (covert contract has already been identified here), things got significantly worse (1+ year dry spells were the norm). By the time we moved in together, I ballooned up to a less than impressive 275-280. So unattractiveness and beta-fa…

You know how when a woman is being bitchy, she will start every sentence with "you always..." or "you never..." when you know damn well it's not true? Have you ever left a sink full of dirty dishes sitting for an hour, only to have her bitch about how she "always" has to do the dishes or how you "never" do the dishes, despite the fact that you do the dishes more often than not? It's kind of like that. How she feels at this moment is suddenly how she has felt forever. So yes, AWALT. And the orbit…

1.Advice on how to give less fucks about her (I cannot fuck 10 other girls, as even through she was interested in opening up, we decided that our relationship would stay closed for the time being). Lift heavy shit, take care of shit that needs to be taken care of, get a hobby, read 2.How to cope with a sexless life for 1 month due to distance. Should I continue trying to turn her on (and send me pics), or would I be better off just trying to ignore this until she is back as that can backfire in …

Yes, I 100% agree with you on this and is my major concern with kids at the moment. There are other, smaller things I would like to improve first as well, mostly about myself, but the lack of sex, intimacy and affection are the things that need to be fixed first before I'd even consider it... The thing that is kind of holding me back from being completely direct and overt in this (I have overtly addressed my concerns in the past, although I haven't gone so far as to use blunt ultimatums, thankfu…

Feel better? Good. Go lift something, own YOUR (not HER) shit and quit focusing on shit that is out of your control. How do you get her to wake the fuck up? You fucking don't "get her" to do anything. Also, you may need to really look into whether there is "no more being a whiny, needy bitch" part. My wife and I both read this book and took the test at the request of a therapist that I was seeing at the time (it wasn't supposed to be couples therapy, I went for individual stuff but she was brought in and it soon evolved into that.) It was about as worthwhile as the many many "talks" that were had.

This may not even be slightly related to your marksmanship, but I notice that in the first round of golf of the season, after about 6-7 months of not even touching a club, that I have an amazing (for me) round where nearly every shot seems to do exactly what I want it to do. In the subsequent rounds, I always go back to hacking the ball into the woods. Maybe I get into my own head and overthink shit, maybe I get cocky and lazy with my swing form, I'm not really sure, but I always found it odd th…

I'm going to go after the low hanging fruit on this one, but everything you put into this post is about your wife. This isn't about her, you should know this by now. Also, it sounds like you have a HUGE covert contract around sex, specifically regarding Father's day. It's a bitch to do this, but you need to get rid of that.

So at the risk of sounding like I'm defending myself (I'm not, there definitely is some non-action going on with that too, no excuses for that) I have been messing around and trying a bunch of shit on this ceiling fan for weeks. I have tightened every screw, taped nickels to every fan blade, added washers to screws, ect. I tried getting up into the attic a few weeks ago, but I don't have a ladder tall enough for me to get in there. So I have been focusing on other things for the time being. But …

I didn't realize that this was a subreddit. Did a quick sort by best of all time, #2 post here was from a guy who gave up on MRP specifically. Not because he disagreed with the content, but because he didn't like that the users here seem to lean to the right politically. And with that, I'm now done reading exredpill. It's clearly another classic reddit echo chamber.

I found this clip through an episode of JRE a week or so ago. I'm still trying to internalize it and truly get into the mindset suggested here. I know all about low confidence, low self-esteem and all of this. I've struggled with that forever, and sometimes I still do. I'm definitely pathetically weak, no question about that and it isn't outside the realm of possibility that my BF calc numbers are off either. BUT I will add the caveat that I am focusing more on form that numbers at the moment, I'm only about a month into getting back into a routine after a year or two of fucking around.

Okay, so for a bit of context, with the exception of overhead press and bench press, all of these numbers used to be significantly higher, but a year or two of laziness kept me away from the gym. Squats, for example, feel incredibly light at the moment, up until the 5th set. At that point, I get pretty sharp pains above the knee. I know my form is shit, so I am still staying with low weight at the moment to get the form down. OHP and BP have always been the bane of my lifting though. I can never…

Beta faggotry meaning basically text book "blue pill" behavior. Covert contracts, validation seeking, self sacrifice, nice guy behavior, ect. If I had to self examine a bit, I would say I went through on the marriage because I had a pretty strong case of oneitis coupled with a lack of abundance mentality. And my theory with her is that marriage was kind of a "keeping up with the Joneses" type thing more than it was about wanting to be with me.

Well my thoughts on this is that years of beta faggotry has taken it's toll. The cliché is that you can't negotiate desire, but I will say that I'm starting to check out a little bit, if I'm being honest.

To add to this post, use your lifting sessions as a productive outlet for your anger instead of allowing it to fester or acting like a butthurt faggot the next time she turns you down for sex. Instead, use it to get that last rep on your bench press up. The last time I was angry wasn't any specific incident, but rather is something that has been festering for years and it's in regards to a lacking sex life (shocking, I know). Diagnosis: Covert contract, validation seeking behavior and definitely…

It's not a real big house, but I have a feeling that adding another outlet in the garage is going to be something I'll need to farm out, especially if I go with putting it on it's own circuit. Electrical work isn't really my strong suit, unfortunately. I have a feeling that if I trip the GFCI again, I'll probably just do the replacement like you stated though.

Good call on this...I weighed myself at the gym after my workout last night. I worked out while still on my fast period (which is what I typically do, but I don't believe that's what I did Sunday) and I was back at 229. Some introspection showed me that I still needed to stop fucking around diet-wise though

Solid tip, thanks brother. I'm also looking to add another outlet in the garage too because there is only one in there. I have a small-ish air compressor that I would like to start using for various things, but I'm a bit concerned about drawing that much from the existing circuit in the garage Edit: Everything I'm reading right now is saying that GFCI outlets are required by code on outdoor and garage outlets. I could still just do it and replace it back if/when we sell. I'll have to do some thi…

Point taken, I don't recall the much of the exact conversation unfortunately. It was a few weeks ago. I read NMMNG before I started really internalizing things. I went through it again a few months ago as well. I guess it's time to give it another read. I'll make minor demands on occasion, and I'm sure I can be an inconvenience at times as well. I don't think I really think that I become connected to her emotions at these times, I just do what needs to be done, which is a HUGE change from the past. I listened to the unabridged version. It was definitely an aggressively long recording. (I also did this for The Art of Seduction and am working through Mastery in audiobook as well, both are about the same in terms of length.) It took me about a month to get through listening to it on my commutes and at work when doing something rather tedious.
