The fact that she felt this was appropriate to post on a sub meant for funny content… Women are so psychologically ruined by men’s incompetence that they resort to self-deprecating humor just to cope. Tragic

If women avoided doing xyz because men would look down on us for it, we would not be doing anything at all. I agree that casual sex is a scam for women for a myriad of valid reasons, but fear of being looked down on by men is simply not one of them. Men’s opinions should not be a factor or consideration in what women choose to do or not to do. I would much rather focus on a cost-benefit analysis from women’s perspective with zero regards for men’s opinions

If men were to ‘agree’ with my feminist views, it would be a clear and obvious sign that I am going down the wrong path On the flipside men foaming at the mouth over my opinion means I’m doing something right

It’s especially frustrating when that woman is your friend and you want the best for her. Nothing you say will make her leave him on the spot but perhaps you could have a conversation with her and ask some hard questions to gently nudge her in the right direction? For example: Are you truly okay with this behavior? Would he be okay with you entertaining other men online? If not, why allow the double standard? Do you expect that you will be able to deal with this situation indefinitely? Or are yo…

This post is spot on. A woman’s intuition is her most powerful defense against harmful situations. No wonder the patriarchy is hellbent on making women ignore our gut feeling at our own expense

Great point about the prenup. There is a misconception that prenups are infaillible, when in reality the circumstances of the marriage often render prenups invalid by the time the couple files for divorce

The fact that he has several degrees but chooses not to get a corporate job with a secure income, and instead he is taking all these professional risks, shows that he is not as committed to his role as a provider the way he claims he is. That’s a major red flag He can make promises all he wants, they mean nothing if he cannot produce tangible results after all these years. If financial compatibility is really that important to you, do not compromise. He will either step up and do whatever is nec…

You bring up an important point Men are socialized to take pride in their accomplishments, and for a woman to swoop in and flex her money and deny him the opportunity to do it on his own… it is very likely to backfire. Oftentimes men end up resenting the woman when they feel like she is more accomplished/more resourceful financially. They feel they cannot fully step into their role as pRoViDeRs and it makes them run in the opposite direction

‘’We can choose to forego men entirely’’ This is really the greatest victory of the feminist movement imo. It’s sad that many women (in the Western world) dont even realize that this is an option we have now

This is so incredibly true. I am always frustrated with people who present divorce as a quick and easy solution for women. The court system ensures that women remain linked to their child’s father regardless of how dangerous and abusive he may be

50/50 is nothing more than repackaged patriarchy co-opting feminist lingo for the benefit of men, then brainwashing women into the trap of liberal feminism, or as I like to call it, “vice versa feminism” How many couples truly split domestic labor 50/50? How many couples truly split emotional labor 50/50? How many couples truly split caregiving labor 50/50? How many couples truly split reproductive labor 50/50? (This last one is quite literally impossible in a hetero relationship) And yet, women…

I am anti-marriage because it is one of the many tools of the patriarchy that keeps women subjugated to men I have no desire for marriage but I would like to be in a long term comitted relationship eventually, and I don’t necessarily agree that a man being marriage-minded is a positive trait. There are so many subs where wives describes how much of a burden their LV husbands in their lives… These men were marriage-minded and yet they only see their wife as a maid/nanny/cook/house manager We say …

Although I agree that 50/50 is a terrible deal for women… I also think that even if the man pays 100% of the bills, having the woman be the primary caretaker and domestic laborer while she also works a full time job is still an unfair situation. The bigger problem in my opinion is men refusing to pick up their fair share of domestic & childrearing labor

I disagree that pickme’s are worse than LVM. When an oppressed group of people (women in this case) internalize their negative socialization for survival, this can never be considered ‘worse’ than the actions of the oppressors themselves.

It took me years but I finally unlearned my ‘desire’ to get married. There is nothing appealing about tying yourself to a man legally. And knowing what men are, I need to be able to make a clean break from a man at any point in time for whatever reason I deem valid. Who has time to go through divorce lawyers and waste thousands of $$$ just to get rid of a man? Add in the fact that you can’t divorce someone unless they agree to it, i.e sign the papers. What a nightmare… I dont see marriage as a p…

I think that the idea of women entering relationships for money is not really a thing anymore under late capitalism, and with women becoming increasingly financially independent. Back in the day when women had literally zero rights, sure they married for money. But today, MOST men dont even have the kind of money that would significantly improve an independent woman’s lifestyle…. Most men are working class and poor (thanks to unchecked capitalism) In contrast, men still do enter relationships wi…
