He didn't even want that from me - he wanted to charm me so I didn't notice it. Then said he had deep emotional and physical connections to me, but not romantic...which makes it even more ridiculous that people think I should be sticking around to make him a better person.

I just ended things with a guy this week who had some serious problems and hadn't gotten over his last breakup. One of his friends had the gall to say, after we had already broken up, that he needs someone like me in his life because I can see through his shit and tell him the truth about himself. Most people are charmed by the facade and can't see past it. There are people who are paid to do this! They're called therapists! Do people ever stop to consider what the woman in this dynamic needs?

Thanks. I did. I think he was more upset about the fact that I told him he was nothing to o me than the fact that he hurt me. I think I made the right decision.

Just ended things with a guy I really liked.
